This piece was satire... I did not realize!
Great. Now the people who barely took me seriously before, have another reason not to. Thanks.
TAKE THIS OFF THE FRONT PAGE, ITS SATIRE!
Can you restore the paragraph and label it? Life without Apple!
This is really misleading.
Who put this on the front page? "National Report" is a SATIRE / tabloid website. This story is completely made up (that's not to say it couldn't be true).
Just look at some of their other headlines:
"BREAKING: Sources Confirm Hillary Clinton will NOT be Running in 2016 due to Health Issues"
"Why We Should Kill the Mexicans"
"Gay Trash Runs Decent God-fearing White Folk Out Of Town"
Please, don't present this crap as fact when it is not. This is not front page material.
Where have you been man? Google, facebook, apple, microsoft, yahoo, etc.
This has been happening for awhile now. Big surprise. Each person must decide whether they want to risk having their fingerprint stored.
Here is the thing though. Lets say you shut yourself up in a cabin in the woods and make yourself unknown. The government is the most advanced spy agency in the world using your tax dollars to do it. Do you honestly believe you can hide from them?
"Once you become knowledgeable, you have an obligation to do something about it."- Ron Paul
if you were in his position, you would say the same thing.
I don't care how much they've lied, or how long they have been violating the law, their actions are criminal, and the 4th amendment is still the law of the land.
Wiretapping landlines without a warrant was a criminal act, even though phones were everywhere, and it was a technical advancement. What has changed?
I am still up in the air about whether I would want a fingerprint phone or not.
All I am saying is by avoiding this phone it doesn't really matter. All the major cell phone makers and providers are in on it and nothing is being done about it. Its the government that is the ultimate problem. Just by typing up this article in the daily paul you are exposing yourself to the government knowing information about you.
but cynical acceptance is capitulation. Clear and extreme violation of privacy can not be dismissed as a consumer choice.
I'm glad it's satire. It's a good summation of the situation.
Not covered in the 4th amendment? "Giving" my fingerprint to an unnamed entity? When I buy something it is MINE and I expect it not to run around sharing my data and other property with anybody unless I ask it to. This guy sounds like he needs to be beaten with a copy of the constitution until he learns it through osmosis.
statement. If you're stupid enough to buy our products...!!!??? eff u!
