I think it's over, America is a lost cause

America in the sense of what it was created for is lost. How do we know this? Here are a few examples of why there will be no return to what America once stood for.

1. When a scumbag twerks it on tv and gets more coverage than a possible war in Syria, America is lost.

2. When government benefits and groups of people are solely devoted to helping the ethnic group they favor and not others outside of that group but then if you point it out you're deemed the racist, America is lost.

3. When a honest statesman, Ron Paul, presents solutions to problems and is booed and ridiculed for it using bullshit lies and attacks, America is lost.

4. When you can't smoke a weed that grows naturally out of the ground but murdering an unborn child is considered birth control and legal, America is lost.

5. When we spend more money blowing up and rebuilding the infrastructure in other countries than building our own, America is lost.

6. When the government threatens to put you into a cage if you don't give them their cut of your paycheck, America is lost.

7. When self avowed Communists like Van Jones are on main stream media outlets and spew their false idealogies, America is lost.

8. When the government makes laws for the people but exempts themselves from those same laws, America is lost.

Do I sound pissed off? Well I am and you should be too. This country is not the same place our parents and grandparents built their lives in. It is not a place I'm proud of anymore.

What are your "You know America is lost when...." statements? Trust me, there are plenty more to come up with.

"You know America is lost when.."

The tireless minority, that collective of informed, concerned and outspoken individuals, resign themselves to the notion that, "America is lost".

We know.

Well, a lot of us do anyway. The biggest government with the most powerful military in the history of the globe is not going to shrink itself back down to a constitutional republican government to make 1/5th of the country happy. Too many people are on the dole or reliant on government for it to stop. Day-to-day conditions are far more important to the average person than the long term.

No train to Stockholm.

It's 4th quarter and 2 left on the clock.

You just got the ball back on their 5 yard line, the score is 14-7 against you with 2 minutes left on the clock. Down the ball? for why? or try to pass for a touchdown or even maybe get the chance to kick a field goal? This all can be one in 2 minutes of total play time left on the clock. I have seen it done. Nope the game is not over yet my friend.

If I disappear from a discussion please forgive me. My 24-7 business requires me to split mid-sentence to serve them. I am not ducking out, I will be back later to catch up.

You're a great American.....

You are right

and it is sad. I am too young. And it looks like my future is doomed.

I believe you are right

The great wickedness of our nation,
Is in every way, abomination,

Because we've pushed the Lord aside,
Our nation continues it's death slide,

The Bible tells us all too well,
The nation forgetting God, shall be turned to hell,

And so it is coming to pass,
His Word will ever last,

America, America,
God has removed his grace from thee,

Remove His grace, His precious grace,
From sea, to shining sea

" In Thee O Lord do I put my trust " ~ Psalm 31:1~

I'm glad America is lost

I'm glad America is lost because that's the only hope for freedom. I want to see this country break up into smaller pieces that actually have to compete with each other. That's why I laugh at people here who worship the Constitution because it's the Constitution that created the greatest centralization of power in this nation's history and guaranteed that we would arrive at where we are today. P.S. the Constitutional Convention was financed by banksters trying to gain centralized currency control vs trying to gain control in each colony.

"In reality, the Constitution itself is incapable of achieving what we would like in limiting government power, no matter how well written."

~ Ron Paul, End the Fed

I consider

each state a Country. It should be that way.

let go

Whether or not "America" is lost is of no ultimate concern.

Columbus was lost in 1492.

The united States were lost in the 1860s. A nation was founded in their place.

If you cling to America as a concept, you will lose yourself with it.

America is a place. Your freedom is what's important. If you fight for or engage your freedom, you will find yourself in America. If you fight for or engage America, you will lose your freedom.

The "American Dream" is a nightmare in terms of its being the dream of America, but your dream in what we nostalgically refer to as America is your destiny to manifest.

At best America is an automobile. The automobile itself is never lost of itself. You may lose your automobile to a thief, mangle it irreversibly in a head-on collision. You may lose your keys or even forget where you parked it, but ultimately what's important is that you have some place to go and you have other means to get there...

That's so undebunkable it's scrapulous.

People think the founders were dying to make a union but it was fought at every level, and numerous provisions were added conditionally to allow states to leave the union peacably.

Great video.

What is America?

America isn't a "thing" and certainly isn't the geography -- because the geography keeps changing (remember we started as 13 colonies ... some territory was bought -often with questionable title- while some was blatantly stolen. And then there are ongoing tectonic and erosion forces).

America isn't the government because the government is mostly illegal in terms of the Constitution. It has no more legality, in a commonlaw sense, that would any Junta which took over the government by force and proceeded to extract value from the population.

America isn't the people who live within the official boundaries. If you are outside the US you can still be American. I would also say that if you live in the US, even if you have citizenship, you are not really an American if you are opposed to the legal framework: the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. So a MAJORITY of current citizens aren't Americans at all ... and I don't regard them as my countrymen.

America is a philosophy and an ideal.

No matter where the ideal and philosophy live, that is where America is. The legal fictions are just fiction.

Bill of Rights /Amendment X: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

Do you need a politician or judge to "interpret" those 28

When WA and CO legalized

When WA and CO legalized Cannabis and the Feds backed down... There is hope

When the people universally opposed the Syria war and Obama caved in... There is hope

When the American People held on to their guns (and bought more in record numbers) when the Feds tried to implement registration/ban...There is hope

When almost half the population said they dont believe the official 911 story... There is hope

When the Mainstream media outlets began losing viewers in record numbers... There is hope

America may never return to what it was but I am 25 and I am going to stay here and fight to create a new future for this country in which the internet will facilitate free markets at the individual level such as Ebay and Etsy.com, where hemp will grow across this nation and will be produced into plastics for 3d printers, where the most informed and creative generation will create a new renaissance in this country the likes of which have never before been seen.

We will not give up, fate itself will shudder at our will...

We all share this eternally evolving present moment- The past and future only exist as inconsequential mental fabrications.

Thank you

Thank you and I wish you luck. You are 25 and you give me hope for this great Country that was and shall be again. I too will stay and fight for the future generations I'm 50 years old.

America is, certainly, on her knees.

When knowledgable people

know that it is crime for their government employees to use a private bank's debt note as tender unlawfully and those people do not arrest and throw in prison every government employee and elected official breaching their obligatory duty then you know America is lost.

Stop being pussies! You already know they are criminals but most of you seem to think politics is going to bring justice to criminals. Courts are for bringing criminals to justice not politics.

Can we please form an Army of law abiding people to arrest these criminals and throw them in prison?

There is nothing else worth doing at this point.

The most powerful Law of Nature is Time. It is finite and we all will run out of it. Use this Law to your advantage, for it offers you infinite possibilities...

Well Ron Paul was talking

Well Ron Paul was talking about the Fed and the gold standard back in the 1980s itself.

America had some style of twerking back then and if Ron Paul had thought that America was lost, then none of us would be gathering here now.

IMO, the best way to fight the insanity and crime, is to avoid govt. at all levels, trying to move towards energy independence and local community co-operation. In the midst of this all, there is nothing wrong in supporting libertarian friends running for office.

The best way to find liberty friends

Is to help a local political campaign, so it is a win win

That's a good one.. There's one better.

Canvass your precinct as C4L instructs. You get to know your neighbors, find out where they stand, perhaps get yourself elected or appointed to a PC our county delegate position in the GOP in the process. Remember your own neighborhood is your own sneaker-net "cell". I think what you cite is excellent, but I think knowing your neighbors is priority 1.

We all should of voted for

We all should of voted for Mitt Romney. Voting for Ron Paul was a waste of vote. Romney was going to audit the Fed.

yeah...

except no.

For a second I thought you were just being sarcastic, but then I saw your username and remembered some of the asinine topics you've made.

So what if Romney said he was going to audit the Fed? He said it at a time when most other candidates were trying to jump on the anti-Fed bandwagon that Dr. Paul started. Romney also said (surprise surprise, he flipped) that he didn't think the Federal Reserve was a problem.

I don't know how well you know Romney's record, but he was governor of my state and he fucked it up beyond repair, not to mention his connections to WWASP, an organization that beats children and teens under the guise of 'rehabilitating' them.

Since you're also anti-weed, you'd probably enjoy the video in which Romney tells a wheelchair bound patient that he'd be arrested for trying to use his medication if Romney had his way.

A signature used to be here!

Well Ron Paul didn't win now

Well Ron Paul didn't win now did he? Romney would of been a lot better than the black Muslim that's in there now.

Ron Paul continues to win

For decades before he left office we had pretty much just ONE Ron Paul. Today, what with Rand, Mike Lee, Ted Cruz, and Marco Rubio we have approximately 2.8 Ron Pauls in the Senate alone, and with Mark Sanford, Justin Amash, and Thom Massie, we have AT LEAST 2.7 Ron Pauls in the House. Not much, maybe, but significant improvement and getting up a head of steam.
Ron Paul won in 1988. He won in 2008. He won in 2012. He continues to win today. Maybe not so much elections, but hearts and minds by the thousands.

And I couldn't possibly disagree more. The pink Marxist would have been no improvement over the brown Marxist whatsoever.

Election Fatigue? ;)

Good people are running for office all across the country, Right at the point in time when the best activists are burned out.

The main elections in 2013 in Alabama, Virginia, and New Jersey, have better than average candidates in them.

I am looking at the special elections in Louisiana, and Massachusetts, to see if any good folks are in them.. but does anyone care?

Sorry Guys but I DO! :)

Take Care Y'all!

A Republic

If you can keep it.

As a solid foundation for prosperity and freedom that a Republic brings. Its extremely fragile. Which is why that phrase that Ben Franklin spoke is just as true now as it was back then.

When America is lost

and can't sink any further, there is me left to help pick up the pieces.

You cannot stop an idea whose time has come. And I have PLENTY of them :-)

So, do you and others ever meet at restaurants, perhaps twice a month?
