Who was Larry McDonald? And why did he hate communism?

Lawrence Patton McDonald, M.D. (April 1, 1935 – September 1, 1983) was an American politician and a member of the United States House of Representatives, representing the seventh congressional district of Georgia as a Democrat. He was a passenger on board Korean Air Lines Flight 007 when it was shot down by Soviet interceptors and presumed dead.

A conservative Democrat, he was active in numerous civic organizations and maintained a very conservative voting record in Congress. He was known for his staunch opposition to communism and believed in long standing covert efforts by Trilateral Commission and other powerful US groups to bring about a socialism and world government. He was the second president of the John Birch Society and also a cousin of General George S. Patton.

James Corbett Did A Piece On This

Well to be more specific, James Corbett did a piece on the so-called "crash of convenience" of flight KAL007. Larry McDonald figures in this story prominently.

Good post, thanks for sharing...

But when you say...

"He was known for his staunch opposition to communism and believed in long standing covert efforts by Trilateral Commission and other powerful US groups to bring about a socialism and world government."

How is the Trilateral Commission a "US group"?

I think that was kind of just slipped in there, and it sort of a loaded statement that I don't believe is accurate.

Also, I believe you are trying to say that McDonald believed that there were real covert efforts by the 'globalist' Trilateral Commission to bring forth a socialist world government, not that he "believed in" the efforts, as you had wrote. Just trying to clear that up.

Are you a POT or a PET - Person Embracing Tyranny?

He also supported Smedley Butler

Lets remember the different viewpoints of who came before, are what are most important.

He didn't support Gates or other communist views. And what about General Macarthur? All of these views are important to research.

You want to know what really happened to him?

You may think I'm joking, but I'll tell you the truth...

The Russians lobotomized Mr. McDonald. The plane wasn't shot down. It was forced to land in Russia. I can't prove this and I'm not asking you to believe it.

From the New American article I posted below "Victims Alive"

Victims Alive?

Avraham Shifrin, a one-time major in the Red Army and legal adviser in the USSR's Ministry of Defense, was imprisoned for a decade during a purge of Soviet Jews. He was eventually allowed to emigrate to Israel, where he established a research center to document the existence of prisons and concentration camps in the Soviet Union. His 1980 book, The First Guide to Prisons and Concentration Camps in the USSR, listed more than 2,000 Soviet prisons, slave labor camps, and psychological prisons. Since 1989, Shifrin, as executive director of the Jerusalem-based Research Centre for Prisons, Psych-prisons and Forced-Labor Concentration Camps of the USSR, has been investigating the KAL 007 tragedy. On July 11, 1991 he issued a lengthy press release which included this startling paragraph:

Our investigation (incomplete yet) has brought us on the tracks of the kidnapped people. We know, for instance, that Congressman McDonald has gone through a number of prisons in Moscow, among them the Central Lubyanka, Lefortovo, [and] a "special dacha" of the KGB in a suburb of Moscow. As far as his present whereabouts are concerned, the investigation is underway, and the information available at the moment cannot be disclosed. We partially know the camps where the plane people were and, with a high degree of probability, are kept now. As for the children from the plane, they were separated from their parents and safely hidden in the orphan houses of one of the Soviet Middle Asian republics.

Who was Larry the Communist

and why did he hate McDonalds?

But We Have The Opposite!

Larry McDonald said that we would have the government making all the decisions, and over the marketplace.

But we have the exact opposite.

We have The Corporations, and Private Banksters making all the real decisions, and over the elected government (reduced to hired puppets).

So we have a Fascist Model here, and not a Socialism/Communism model.

And the underlying motive is profit and Control of World Resources into Private Hands.

This is what is really going on..............

No, we have both.

Have you ever read the '10 Planks Of The Communist Manifesto'? how many of them are not either fully, or partially in place today?

1. Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes.
2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.
3. Abolition of all right of inheritance.
4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.
5. Centralisation of credit in the hands of the State, by means of a national bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly.
6. Centralisation of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the State.
7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the State; the bringing into cultivation of waste-lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.
8. Equal liability of all to labour. Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture.
9. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country, by a more equitable distribution of the population over the country.
10. Free education for all children in public schools. Abolition of children's factory labour in its present form and combination of education with industrial production.

No national bank

We don't have a national bank.

We have a privately controlled Bank that runs everything. For example, I always hate it when people say "the government is printing money". The government is doing no such thing.

Goldman Sachs is printing the money (or creating it), and "the government" is powerless to stop it even if it wanted to. The Bankers control the whole show (and created the "Wall Street" Walmart atmosphere that we live under). The Rothschilds Banking Empire makes all the important decisions, and the private Bank does whatever it wants and then simply tells the government what it has done.

Think back to 2008: Congress initially refused to go along with Hank Paulson's Bank Bailout. Then there were closed door meetings; threats of martial law; behind the scenes bribery and intimidation. All of sudden everyone in Congress loved the Bank Bailouts and said it was necessary.

Who is running the show? Not the government.
It's the Big Bankers.

As long as we misdirect the focus on "the government", we will never have a Government that is strong enough to stand up and cast out the Rothschilds, the Rockefellers, and the Big Bankers.

We need to look to the example of Andrew Jackson again, when the government flexed its muscle and ended the private control.

Congress may be wimpy, but not powerless

What power would the Bankers have over America without a powerful and in debt Central Government?.

If the feds wanted they could throw them all in jail, but they won't because they are all Communists as well... Birds of a feather etc.

Anyway, we do not have the 'opposite' of Communism because Communism is a scam that America partakes in.

No more borrowing, no more debt, no more more banks, and no more Communism and Fascism.

What Is The Frankfurt School (And Its Effect On America)?

What Is The Frankfurt School (And Its Effect On America)?

'Cultural Marxism' and 'critical theory' are concepts developed by a group of German intellectuals, who, in 1923 in Germany, founded the Institute of Social Research at Frankfurt University. The Institute, modeled after the Marx-Engels Institute in Moscow, became known as the Frankfurt School [3]. In 1933, when the Nazis came to power in Germany, the members of the Frankfurt School fled to the United States. While here, they migrated to major U.S. universities (Columbia, Princeton, Brandeis, and California at Berkeley). These intellectual Marxists included Herbert Marcuse, who coined the phrase, 'make love, not war,' during the anti-Vietnam War demonstrations.

Six hours after the plane was

Six hours after the plane was downed, the South Korean government issued an announcement that the plane had merely been forced to land abruptly by the Russians, and that all passengers and crew were safe.

I was up late listening to the radio that night

and heard the initial report of it being forced to land. Later, when I heard the report that it had been shot down, I wondered why the two reports were so radically different. I thought that perhaps some, if not all of the passengers might have been taken and then only those who were targeted were shot down, or maybe the plane could have been empty when downed. We'll never know.

I didn't know much of Larry McDonald then, but deeply respect his principles and actions now that I know better. He does appear to be someone so hated for doing right that he could have been the target, or it could have happened like one of the official stories say.

We Hold These Truths

Did the plane get shot down because Larry McDonald was on board?

I watched the news and hoped and prayed that survivors would be found.
I have read accounts on the internet that there were survivors and Larry McDonald was tortured and alive for a number of years.
This Facebook Page is To remember and honor the memory of the victims of Korean Airlines Flight 007.

Math and logic say yes

What are the odds that the most anti Communist Conspiracy Congressman in US history, would 'just happen' to be killed (or captured) by members of the Communist Conspiracy?

He was also the most anti establishment Congressman, and his supposed death was mostly ignored by the establishment, go figure.

2nd Most Conservative Congressman between 1937 and 2002

The American Journal of Political Science named him the second most conservative member of either chamber of Congress between 1937 and 2002 (behind only Ron Paul)

Here is the old list from 2002, listed from most liberal, to most conservative, scroll to the bottom, I have voted for the number 1 most conservative, and number 9 :)

If Democrats were like him, I would be one

1983 was pivotal for him

"McDonald, who considered himself a traditional Democrat 'cut from the cloth of Jefferson and Jackson,' was known for his conservative views, even by Southern standards. Given his Old Right and Southern views, he was more conservative than the Republican Party." ...

"McDonald was frequently opposed by members of his own party, once remarking that 'The national [Democratic] party is a bunch of kooks' but that he had 'no problems' with Georgia or 7th District Democrats. However, in 1978, the Seventh District Democratic Committee voted, 10–8–1, to pass a resolution to 'censure' McDonald 'for the dishonorable and despicable act of calling himself a Democrat.'[26] The main reason for the censure was McDonald's membership in the John Birch Society."...

"McDonald became the second president of the John Birch Society in 1983, succeeding Robert Welch."...

"McDonald rarely spoke on the House floor, preferring to insert material into the Congressional Record. These insertions typically dealt with foreign policy issues relating to the Soviet Union and domestic issues centered on the growth of non-Soviet and Soviet sponsored leftist subversion. Of particular interest to McDonald was Soviet and other communist clandestine activities around the world."...

"McDonald also introduced numerous bills to stop the making loans, and selling of arms to communist or communist friendly regimes.

At the time of his death, McDonald was considering a run for President of the United States."

The Larry McDonald Revolution

Imagine if the Larry had lived, and started the Larry McDonald Revolution in the Democrat party, It could have changed history!

whois today's Liberty Democrat ?

... seems to me they are allllllll socialists. We're gonna have to restore the Trivium and Quadrivium . . .

Time for a School Revolution

Freakin' Nobody

Unless you count Mark Clayton, a Chuck Baldwin supporter who secured the 2012 Democrat Nomination for US Senate in Tennessee, an accident according to the party.

"Run in the party you think you can win in"

Ha! "Run in the party you think you can win in." That was Larry McDonald's advice to Ron Paul, as retold in the second video.

So funny. There's a guy around here who was active in the Ron Paul stuff back in the day. He really wanted to be a part of the political machinery - you could just tell. He was slimy & smarmy - a real backslapper. Very aggressive.

Just the other day, I saw that he's running for something up here (again) - this time as a Democrat!

The GOP is very weak up here. The (R) up here may was well stand for lepeR. The only reason Mitt Romney won up here was because he was world famous for fixing the Salt Lake City Olympics.

It is as blue as blue can be up here...

He's the man.

So true

If only we could get our neighbors to see through the red and blue. Obama is a great example. as a peace president he has not only perpetuated the war and misery, he's ramped it up. The only reason he got out of Iraq is they knew they were going to start bring up our troops on war crimes.

So in the end, no difference. The powers that be are just using child psychology on us. So Larry McDonald was right, party really doesn't matter, go with the one you can win in and stick to principle.

By the way, how about that baby blue Elvis suit he's wearing in that video? Now that's balls!

When We The People restore the Republic

... tear down the statue of the racist mason Albert Pike and replace it with a beautiful statue of American patriot hero Larry P McDonald.

Upvoted the hell out of this.

He was my rep when I was a kid. I didn't know until years later what a rare great democrat he was, and how awake he was... Thanks for this great post. Yours in Chile, Ellie Dee.

Hugs from Chile.
