Wow that worries me a litte... Educated opinions??

Wow, that worries me that hes gained on Paul that fast... I would trust Cruz as VP, but not as top ticket... However, it is right after his big show, Rand is a bit more popular with people outside the hard party loyalists... Also Rand is not AS HATED as Cruz by the party elite and if they are forced to choose, they MAY go with Paul, depends..

I am going to ask your opinion on something. Please only thoughtful comments. But do you think if Paul was top and Cruz was bottom that it would turn people off, like indies, in the general election? Do you think Paul would need someone a little more at least perceived moderate, to win agaist the Dem ticket? Im not saying that is a good analysis, but thats my counter question and I want to see what you think? Problem is that I cant think of anyone who is some what perceived moderate at the same time is true to our pincipals? Hmmmm... I would argue ANYBODY on the merits of a Rand Paul candidacy and presidency, but "humbly" (to my standards) I am really stuck on the VP questions. Yeah, its easy to say Jesse Ventura or even Ron Paul (well a Paul Paul ticket would be my absolute fantasy dream! but cummon?)? I could see a Ron Paul top of the ticket with a Rand bottom, but the other way around would be politically next to impossible. Anyway, Im stuck with this one, can you enlighten me?

Ron Paul 2012

...that's the ticket!

I trust them both

Paul/Cruz is my dream ticket

Nobody asked me, but

I think the G.O.P.'s best shot is a Paul/Cruz ticket.

Rand Paul is a better defender of liberty.

On paper: Its about perfect for the Time

They would compliment well:

Cruz picks up more of the social conservative voters, who will see him as a brake against what they consider more 'extreme' libertarian tendencies Rand might have.

Cruz is also Hispanic. (bye Mario!)

I think its encouraging

While I don't trust Cruz wholesale, I believe he would vote the same way as Rand on most issues. And in that sense, I am encouraged. It means GOP voters are moving as almost a majority to accepting a lot of the ideas espoused by Ron Paul.....because while Rand isn't his dad - he is very close. And I think this is a good thing.

The liberals have worked a slow gradual strategy for almost 100 years now.

I hope maybe we are doing the same. Although I wouldn't want to see it take as long. But Dr Paul has been working this stuff since the 70s!!!!

Jesse Ventura?

blech Ted Cruz ...hmmmm

Seems the GOP is pushing the non natural born citizen cruz to either lose to Hillary because of ineligibility or drop out of the primary in the 11th hour because of it. Allowing the GOP establishment install their own neocon candidate as an emergency replacement.

I just want to vomit every

I just want to vomit every time I see Christie's name near the top of these polls. Who in their right mind could support that guy.

They need to run as a team.

The idea has been discussed in the past. A co-presidency.

Been done before.

In Rome.

See how that worked out.

About as well as the alliance

About as well as the alliance between the Emperor and Darth Vader.

Cruz is ineligible and I will

Cruz is ineligible and I will make my opinion on that matter known VERY loudly to the GOP. He is not a "natural born citizen". Turnabout is fair play.

Also, pit the top GOP selectees against Hillary and see what results come up. I've a feeling no matter how much the Democrats have violated our Constitution and gutted our freedoms the public will still turn a blind eye and vote for Hillary, unless Rand can really hit a home-run in the eventual debates. He needs to get off Fox News and venture into unfriendly territory more to gain the on-air skills to deflect a serious attack by DNC shills.
