Just saw the movie "Lawless"

This movie really shows how things were, and how they should be (with the exception of prohibition of course). We must remember, law enforcement works for us, and we have the right to defend ourselves against criminal police.

Very Good Story

I actualy wanted my teens to see this but I thought it a tad too brutal for their age. But definately on "the List" along with Cold Mountain and Fight Club. Some pretty deep themes in those too.

I can't get into this movie

It's entertaining and all, but the Matrix series drives me crazy, because it doesn't make sense.

I know it's just a movie, and I know it's supposed to be social commentary or what have you, but the whole 'battery' thing is just so stupid. The human body gives off far less energy than it consumes, and it's not as if this is some obscure fact.

Maybe "disembodied human brains used as processors" would've worked a bit better...

My inner sci-fi geek will never let me fully enjoy this movie. ;/

A signature used to be here!

That’s why the bodies are

In the pods to keep the usage low and drain off the rest….but I will definitely bow to your sci-fi expertise. Star Wars is my depth on this subject….The only reason I watch the Matrix it was mentioned at the Von Mises institute and really the “pill”scene….is the best part.

Love it

I own the whole trilogy on blu ray, but I would say that the first one is much better than the others.

Oh yeah I agree

First one established the concept of “a prison of your mind”…Liberty…free will…..that scene should be played and discussed in every civics’ classroom in America.

It seems

A majority of sci-Fi films are very pro freedom, Star Wars, matrix, Blade Runner, Metropolis, and Tron all seem to have people struggling to be free.

is it new? never heard of

is it new? never heard of it. like this clip though.

It's been on DVD for a couple months now

So ya, it pretty new. Gary Oldman has a small part in it too.
