lewrockwell.com: Madonna's Rǝʌoןution - VICE Interview

"I was expected to get booed in Texas."

Here is an extremely candid interview with Madonna discussing her rudimentary notions of freedom, non-conformity or individuality, artistic creativity and expression, and outrage towards human suffering, oppression and repression. She describes how she is putting her legendary career as a pop icon in a secondary position to totally focus upon her efforts to launch a “revolution” to put her ideas before the world. She explicitly uses a variation of the Ron Paul Revolution logo for her “Revolution.”

As some of the commenters below

As some of the commenters below have stated, Madonna pushed hard for obama.

I watched the video on the LewRockwell site. Madonna speaks what we preach. Caution with this artists [yes, she is in fact an artist], followers and influence, money and power, sheep can/will blindly follow as Madonna is on their pedestal.

It would have been wise before, during or after the interview to ask Madonna for examples of who she follows politically, for clarification. It is possible that she was led down the wrong path, as many were after the W administration, and has since opened her eyes. It could be also be possible that she incorrectly believes that far left is the answer to Liberty [her history and upbringing].

Utilizing that logo in the wrong way is dangerous, it is advisable that somebody with access [such as LewRockwell] follow up with Madonna, and fast.

This [use of r3VOLution in any form] is clearly not a coincidence.

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul

Interesting

I watched about 20 mins of her interview. At 18:57 it gets good. She talks about seeing complacency of Americans regarding freedom. She says she was worried about people voting for Romney, essentially saying "how could people vote for a war-monger". She then talks about how she strongly pushed for Obama's re-election but got booed. And she was surprised it happened in liberal states (e.g. she would've expected it in Texas but not in New York).

Anyway, after seeing that I was very surprised that an article on Lew Rockwell praised this interview. But after thinking about it, I think I get it. Basically they're saying that she might just be misguided but at least she shows passion about what she believes in (even if it's incorrect). BUT if she can eventually learn the principles of liberty, she could be potentially a very big part of the liberty movement. After all, she's very rich, very famous, and very influential. Having that on our side would be a boon.

This is shameful

An artist? yeah okay that is why she has to steal the Ron Paul revolution / love banner.

In addition to the stolen banner she uses the all seeing eye...wonderful. What creativity!

Let me guess. The video is filled with androgynous dancers who use erotic free from dance as the vehicle for expression that is her gracious attempt to save us all from the evil right.

At least we know who she serves.

Liberty = Responsibility

Yeah - the single eye thing. Spooky.

And is she counting on the original RP rlovelution logo designer to not sue her?

You are shameful. Save the

You are shameful. Save the slut shaming for yourself. What I saw were beautiful dancers expressing themselves.

Well that escalated quickly...

if hurt your feelings, I apologize, that was not my intent.

I didn't describe your "beautiful" dancers in anyway that was derogatory. So you should take a step back and question the source of your anger. Or not.

I do not see androgyny and sexual innuendo and promiscuity as liberty message. If it is then M has been a leading liberty proponent her whole career.

As the sig states I believe that liberty = responsibility.

I think it is incredibly tacky and "shameful" to steal someone else's concept, and not even acknowledge it. This lady has an army of attorneys that I am sure looked to see if the revolution/love banner had been used, and by whom. It is probably being claimed as her property as I type. There are no accidents or coincidences with propaganda I mean entertainment at this level.

A stolen banner and the all seeing eye - great stuff.

Liberty = Responsibility

Androgyny has nothing to do

Androgyny has nothing to do with liberty? I suggest that those who dare to blur gender lines are truly free. As long as they are truly androgenous in spirit.

You obviously didn't listen to her interview. Madonna has always used irony and sexuality to catch people's attention. The short movie was about human rights and caring about the suffering of others, and how artists are branded to conform. The gun symbolized branding.

Disgusting woman.

sold body and soul, whored and blasphemed her way to fame.
Apart from "Fire", I wouldn't listen to a word this industry stooge has to say.

.

awesome can i join the kabbalah cult too?

At least it shows she's dedicated.

It takes a lot of commitment to join a cult. You should try it - I'd recommend one to do with aliens or one of the hollow-earth sects.

If this catches, and she starts generating buzz in the MSM

then I'll watch the video.

I remember a while back Matt Damon did a thing where he lived on $2 a day.

It was a stunt that flopped. No one cared.

The action really isn't as important as the reception.

Okay - here's the truth. I'm not a fan of Madonna.

She has a stilted method of talking, and her melodies are predictable. But there it was on www.lewrockwell.com .

People need to get past 'who' Madonna is and focus more on 'what' she is. She is a celebrity that gets to travel the planet and talk to thousands of people who love her. Along the way she is seeing, hearing, loving and learning. She knows she may be just one dim light but she is trying to glow as brightly as she can.

Skip to around 5:00 for the good parts.

I was skeptical of Ted Cruz

and I declare for now, that I have had to support all of his recent activities. In a big way.

Madonna my be sniffing the winds. She certainly capitalized on the destruction of American ideas, probably not as much as those that have exploited her.

I'll let her prove to me, that she is going to use her fame for principles I admire. I watched all of the first movie.

Cruz is seeking refuge on an enemy ship...

Madonna just spotted an island after years of swimming in circles.

Pandacentricism will be our downfall.

I scanned through

and she gets around to defending Obama and blaming Bush. She calls fascists "far right". She doesn't use any of our language and I just can't imagine that she has anything close to a true understanding of freedom or the economic principles that bring it about. As I listened, I lost hope that she was on board. Maybe one of her people chose the logo but I don't think she did and connected it in any way with Dr. Paul.

"Endless money forms the sinews of war." - Cicero, www.freedomshift.blogspot.com

I am probably the biggest

I am probably the biggest Madonna fan on here. However, I have yet to watch the video. I will, but part of the reason I haven't is her decision to continue playing Israel, in spite of its human rights record toward the Palestinians. Actually, if she didn't treat the issue like both sides are equally wrong, I would be ok with her touring Israel. What I have heard her say so far always strikes me as naive and somewhat uninformed about the full scope of Israel's oppression against the Palestinians.

I think Madonna, like Ron Paul, is an excellent inspiration for freedom (neither really seem to care what the world thinks in the moment), but her knowledge about politics has always seemed rather shallow to me, which is odd cause in her lyrics, she expresses surprisingly great insights about relationships and human nature, despite the media's emphasis on her image and her own past obsession with it.

In her view, everyone has a "right" to an education. But so does almost every other person in the world. So, perhaps I can't be hard on her. I love how she stood against the Iraq War before it was popular to do so. When the war was no longer popular, she went back to making great dance music. Here is her anti war video from 2003. I think its great. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5iIr6Bc7qjY This one is also great, American Pie, a cover a of the old classic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BIAi3Oo7To

She mentions Israel at the 9:00 mark...

just re-listening to it again semi-sorta. Her songs are gratin but her voice is soothing.

ug, I feel stupider having listened to this interview

I forwarded it about halfway through trying to find her say something reasonably important. Can some tell me the point when she says something liberty related? BTW have we forgotten that this whorebag did an occult illuminati superbowl act? Plus she is just so dumb!!!! And she thinks she's so intellectual. End rant.

Lew Rockwell seemed to like it...

did you hear the part about how humanity needs a revolution of spirit?

True she's no genius like you or me, but her heart's in the right place.

Pandacentricism will be our downfall.

She actually has an IQ of

She actually has an IQ of 140. But she didn't finish college, so she is rough around the edges.

IQ

isn't really an accurate measure of worldly knowledge or learning ability, just how well one can memorize and solve logic puzzles. That and the fact that different IQ tests (ex: Stanford-Binet vs. Wechsler) often provide different outcomes for the same person.

It's a bit of a sore subject for me, because everyone in my extended family seems to think that I should be some super-ultra-mega genius because of my IQ, when the reality is that I'm of average intelligence, and I just happen to do well with logic puzzles. They think a higher number = smarter...and yet they refuse to listen to me when I say it doesn't necessarily work that way, go figure.

He lives on as a signature...

It's kind of funny that we're having this conversation in a thread about Madonna. After watching the interview I've learned once again that she both is and isn't what you see on stage and hear about in the press.

How can you stand being 'Michael' every day on this board? Is starting the Daily Paul something extraordinary that you did or was it a perfectly normal thing for 'michael nystrom' to do?
