Ignore this system!

After being involved in politics for 3+ years, registering as a Florida delegate and attending the RNC in Tampa, I can say I'm absolutely convinced there is no political solution to what ails the people living under the empirical American regime. The system is corrupt to the core and if voting made any type of difference it would be illegal. Both parties are bought bribed and paid for and the system itself is designed to elevate only the most ruthless immoral lying thieving bastards to the echelons of power.

If we are to affect any type of change it is through the ways in which people like MLK jr and Mahatma Gandhi advocated. Peaceful non-compliance and civil disobedience. By participating in the current system you are by De facto legitimizing it and all the immoral corrupt ways in which it operates.

Work outside the system as much as possible and focus on the people and life that brings you the most fulfillment and joy. Do not compromise the essence of your human existence by giving in to the hatred and vile wickedness that is spewed by those who rule over us. Peaceful cooperation, tolerance and understanding are those ways in which if we can change our minds we effectively can change the world.

Welcome Aboard

Government is force and violence. The only moral society is a completely voluntary one. Politics legitimizes the corrupt system. Welcome to the growing legion of truth seekers who have come to this conclusion. Live your life the way you want to see the world work. Opt out of as many things as you can that involve the use of force, and substitute them with voluntary acts. "If one takes care of the means, the end will take care of itself." -Ghandi

Agreed... BUT...

I completely agree that the end of this system will only happen when a large group of people ignore the system and refuse to comply. I can only see 2 ways that this could happen in theory, but I can only see 1 way that this can happen in practice.

In THEORY, we could end the system in a short amount of time if a large enough group of Americans refused to pay their taxes. The old quote is true that says “Let them march all they want, so long as they continue to pay their taxes.”

In PRACTICE, the system will probably only come crashing down when other nations start trading energy for their own currencies, and NOT dollars (showing that they no longer give their faith and credit to the American economic system). And they will do this the more and more the US relies on Quantitative Easing. So, this solution probably isn't too far away.

Until you correct the thought virus of "your taxes" you aren't

going to convince anyone to stop paying them.

"You're taxes" are those that have been actually lawfully levied upon you and that you are required to pay.

What most people consider "their taxes" are not THEIRS at all.

This is the crux of the problem.

Understand it or be doomed to serfdom.

All taxes are theft

Stop using the word taxes, for starters... it is just theft plain and simple.

Then stop using the word law, as a law is just a threat of force... just say threat of force.

Yes agreed. But since I was dealing with someone who used the

phrase "your taxes" I figured I should opt for baby steps.

But since you put it out there, sure, all taxation is theft, and all law is force.

I have no disagreements there.

Didn't we just prevent a war?

...or at least postpone a war with Syria? Don't believe for a minute this community didn't have something to do with that. Oh sure, the bombs may still fall on Syria in the future. But in the meantime we definitely saved some lives. That matters.

So don't quit now.

No-one but Paul!

You hit the nail on the head......

Revelations 18:3-5
For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have grown rich from the power[c] of her luxury.” Then I heard another voice from heaven saying,
“Come out of her, my people, so that you do not take part in her sins,
and so that you do not share in her plagues; for her sins are heaped high as heaven..

For the people who don't know what the above is referring to, here is the answer:
1. International Law - based on Roman Canon Law
2. International Commerce Laws
3. Political Systems of all nations
4. World Economic System - has everyone working hard for false monopoly money, instead of hard money that can't be spit out of the printing presses.

PeacefulAnarchism, I applaud you for the truth you have just laid out to everyone. There are fools that spend all their lives in politics and never understand that the system is rigged. Most don't say anything because they're in it for the money. If anyone knows what JUSTICE, MERCY, TRUTH and LOVE are, you would know that none of the governments around the world have a shred within their systems.

May Jesus bless you my friend,

but civil disobedience from

but civil disobedience from the left worked because there was a sympathetic faction for their actions and objectives on the side of the politically stronger power. western liberalism supported the anti colonialist nationalism of ghandi, and the civil rights movement.

where is a comparable sympathetic faction for civil disobedience from the right?

i'm sure people will complain about using right and left, but the civil disobedience of waco resulted in mass murder and no tears were shed.

i'm not saying there are better alternatives than non violent civil disobedience, but to assume it will work on the basis of examples like ghandi or MLK who had a huge cheering section in the western establishment is foolish.

in fact the ideological entity which supported the two mentioned political figures is the same faction that views people like us as evil incarnate to be rooted out by any means... obstacles to progress.

examine your premises.

You can do both.

You can still work the system and prepare for no system at the same time.

The founding fathers did it. You can too.

Quitting = handing your own a$$ to the bad guys.

You can do both

But let's not turn this into a cult.

Quitting = handing your own a$$ to the bad guys.

That is just propaganda.

People. Especially libertarians. Should do what they want.

Please explain how you cross the finish line if you quit a race.

Quitting a race does not get you across the finish line.

Besides, what if the Continentals did what you suggest? You'd have a British accent and be standing in front of a star court right now.

So, I don't by that "just do whatever man..." BS.

If you get in a race, then win it.
If you're going to quit, why did you start in the first place except to waste everyone else's time.

You can not win a race by quitting that race. That's the simple fact.

History says...

This system is doomed to collapse under it's own weight of corruption, stupidity and and the eventual revolt.

yea but history makes no

yea but history makes no claim to what will replace it.

astute observation.

our mission here is.....over and out.

I agree

plus, what are we going to do if we take the system over??? get rid of it? don't need to take it over for that, just ignore it.

Yes, but you can get a microphone and some ears.

Even if changing the system is not possible, all you need to do is change people's minds. "Political theater" is one of many ways to get some ears, and hopefully hearts and minds. I think that's what Ron Paul has been doing all these years. Maybe Rand too.
