IRS collecting money but not sending refunds during shutdown

By Stephen Dinan and Jacqueline Klimas-The Washington Times Wednesday, October 2, 2013

The IRS is still collecting taxes during the government shutdown, but it isn’t sending out refunds — and it’s also stopped complying with a subpoena to turn over documents to members of Congress who are investigating the agency’s targeting of tea party groups.

Both the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee and the Ways and Means Committee have stopped getting documents from the IRS.

Isn't it illegal to not comply with a subpoena?

Love snoopy..

Thanks Mark!

Of course if you refuse to

Of course if you refuse to give them your money, they will be happy to penalize you.

To climb the mountain, you must believe you can.

So they will take your money,

So they will take your money, but refuse to give back to you the money you earned almost a year ago?

Don't you just love double standards?

Now the IRS is playing games, now saying they can't comply with the House Oversight Committee with regard to their deliberate targeting of conservative Americans for audit and withholding tax exemption status from groups of people just because they might be a republican.

They are basically giving Congress the bird, which is not wise.

Obamacare is a TAX. If Congress repeals the tax with the consent of their constituents, they could very well repeal the entire IRS with it because The Affordable Care Act is a two headed hydra that will not go away like a bad Friday the 13th movie until they both go down.

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.
