If nothing in this helps you try petting a dog.

OK you guys are being introspective. Not entirely a bad thing. But it kinda hangs funny. Not a great fit.

You are used to laser-like focus and achieving the unanticipated, used to performing near miracles. Fire from the sky. And after blogging every freeway, after totally dominating social media, after having become our own media and informed so past saturation we all should have drowned, after literally making Ron Paul a legend in his own time, after injecting our microscopically tiny movement's ideas into the mainstream and becoming a dominating political and ideological force, and after a blimp,

well, where do you go after a blimp? Monkeys riding bicycles?

Kinda seems like anything else is gonna be a let-down. Sure we could do a BIGGER blimp but when a blimp is just a blimp, when it's just another blimp, how are we supposed to get inspired about anything?

We're reaching God-like levels of boredom. I've heard more words to the effect of "I with TSHTF would hurry up so we can just stop thinking and start doing" lately than I'd ever anticipated. And this, by the way is our hugest historic power-siphon. We're a factory for sucking people offline and off-grid. Don't know if you realize that but that's why we seem to have this "churn". It's not churn, we're busy building tomorrow's society today.

And it's somehow like palpably ironic that we're mainstream all the sudden. OK guys, we are oddballs. I mean like born and bred. I don't think half of us can handle all this sudden ACCEPTANCE. We're used to being treated like a disease and now we get invited to parties. We wanna be the wall flower but suddenly all the popular people wanna dance with us. And we hate their stupid music besides. I always knew how to tie a bow tie but I was wearing it IRONICALLY. If it's actually fashionable the whole point is lost.

One point that has not nor will ever change is WE CAN'T FORCE FREEDOM. WE CAN'T DICTATE. WE CAN'T MAKE ANYBODY DO ANYTHING. OUR END OBJECTIVE IS TO BRING ABOUT OMISSION. GET GOVERNMENT TO NOT-DO. UN-DO. THE OPPOSITE OF ACTION.

How do we know when we're done? When nothing happens?

We do have an answer for this but it's not so much of a cure.

1. I think us elders need to defer to youngers, to youthful energy and to zany ideas. We do tend to have a "we already tried that" attitude and that's just gotta stop now. Who cares if we tried it? Who cares if we did it? I don't want kids to be part of our history, I want them to be part of their own. I want them to make it for themselves like we did. I want to see something cooler. Our word should be Nike: Just Do It. Go for it. Go balls out crazy.

2. We gotta make an almost self conscious effort to put the fun back into it. Bill3, POL POT and I have actually taken this to competitive levels and man, Bill3's recent piece on Obama pledging limited support for Kenyan mall terrorists is hands-down the most hysterical thing I have read in print for two decades. For this he should get a SHRINE. But if we're having fun, again who cares if we did it before? Let's just keep opening up space. Maybe open up space for other people to do it, maybe even our opposition, what the heck?

EVERY TIME WE ENGAGE PEOPLE WE WIN. SEEMS TO WORK LIKE THAT.

Freedom makes sense. Easy sell. It not just our freedom, it's everybody's. It's the universal non-exclusive pact: when you are free so is everybody else.

3. Go through the ideas box again. Is there something we didn't do before because it seemed too crazy even for us? Time to dust that idea off and put it back up for consideration.

I always wanted to do a Million Mop March where we all show up with cleaning supplies and literally clean out the capitol building. Leave a huge pile of donated scrub brushes behind "in case we have to come back".

How about a sign-wave with "HONK 4 NO REASON" as the theme? Just Say No To Neptunians? Educate The Geese? Tax The Fish?

And we might as well start saving up for another blimp. Do we really have any good reason not to?

If none of the above helps you in any way try petting a dog. Always makes me feel better.

Petting the Dog

I have three dogs. Dogs are good for one's health.

In the past year I have noticed an upsurge in young folks

views. Not so 'liberal/progressive' anymore. More 'libertarian' views. All races. It's coming. Slow, but coming around.
