Govt Blackout of the ISON Comet has many wondering...

http://beforeitsnews.com/space/2013/10/govt-underground-flee...

http://www.dailypaul.com/301033/is-there-a-real-time-interac...

Clue #1

NO images from the approaching ISON Comet from NASA (due to Govt shutdown) … from ESA!? {European Space Agency - why?} Plus no pictures from “Curiosity” and “Opportunity” robotic rover vehicles currently on Mars and MRO (Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter) and “Odyssey” both are robotic spacecraft orbiting Mars.

Clue #2

”A massive and “serious” cyber attack on the U.S. homeland is coming, and a natural disaster — the likes of which the nation has never seen — is also likely on its way. So prepare, and bring “a large bottle of Advil,” Janet Napolitano told her yet-to-be-named replacement in a farewell address Tuesday morning.”

Clue #3

Astrophysicist James McCanney revealed that his contacts among military officers and professional astronomers have leaked to him that: ”a mini-solar system [comets swirling around a gravitational baby star] is moving into our Solar System.”

Clue #4

NPR-News “U.S. ‘SPACE FENCE RADAR SYSTEM GOES SILENT
[Shut Down] AFTER 50 YEARS IN OPERATION”

It is well known that they merely pretended that the Hubble Telescope had failed, and that they lied about the Infrared Astronomical Satellite having failed, just as they lied in
stating that the radio transmissions from the Pioneer 10 space probe had failed.

Clue #5

With the Shutdown of the Govt - a black-out of vital earthquake reports, now, at this critical juncture in Earth’s ongoing trauma when earthquake frequency and intensity is beginning to soar.

Clue #6

Deep Underground Military Base at Denver International Airport security stated: ”We will do whatever it takes to shut out desperate Coloradoans from seeking shelter here below; we will shoot to kill them, if necessary.”

Clue #7

In addition the HAARP Megnetometer has been shutdown for quite some time that would detect CME (Coronal Mass Ejections/Eruption from the sun)

'A' for keeping an open mind

'D-' for lack of basic scientific reasoning skills, and failure to check your facts and sources.

Because you are willing to think outside the box - this is essential - that brings you up to a 'C+' in Critical Thinking 101.

You can do better. Do your homework!

#7 is your nail in the coffin - and not like you are thinking.

CME stands for Coronal Mass Ejection. This is a phenomenon where the Sun ejects part of its plasma upper atmosphere into space during a "solar storm". This plasma layer, which is where the LIGHT of the Sun comes from, is called the "corona" hence "Coronal Mass Ejection" or CME.('corona' is latin for 'crown' from Greek meaning 'garland' or 'wreath')

Since you don't know that, it stands to reason everything else you said, most of it unsourced, is pure bunk.

#6 has no source.

#5 is patently false: http://earthquake.usgs.gov/ is still up and running.

#4 is not all it seems to be: "The agency hopes to install a new version of the fence using technology that it says will be more accurate." (from the NPR article linked here: http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2013/09/03/218538879/u-s...)

Note, the OP didn't bother to link the article so you could read things for yourself.

#3 is grounds for a defamation lawsuit. Here's a disclaimer posted by Mr. McCanney himself on the subject:

"NOTE ... there is a youtube video with clips of my voice from a 2002 radio show taken out of context which is being passed around where it sounds like i am saying there is a solar system coming into ours at the present time ... this is a planted misinformation piece meant to defame me and my work..."

#1 no blackout - there are others tracking the comet

http://www.space.com/19372-comet-ison-photos-2013-great-come...
http://www.nbcnews.com/science/amateur-astronomers-cameras-s...
http://hubblesite.org/hubble_discoveries/comet_ison/blogs/ma...

That last one also debunks the "Hubble is broken" myth as those images are FROM the HST.

As well, I see nothing wrong with the MRO and Oddessy not giving us pictures of ISON - after all, their cameras were built for, and paid to, POINT AT MARS.

Finally, the ESA IS looking at ISON - http://www.esa.int/Our_Activities/Space_Science/Preparing_fo...

Really, OP, stop believing everything you read on the internet, at least without VERIFYING it first. You look like a first class dumbass right now.

I don't want what you're

I don't want what you're smokin', dude.

Well...damn it all! None of

Well...damn it all! None of this matters because we're all going to be blown to bits by comets in the end. Why bother?

All utter nonsense

Do you know how many amateur astronomers are out there? Not only in the US but worldwide? Have you ever taken a look at recently discovered comets and asteroids and checked to see how many were discovered by enthusiasts rather than NASA or other government funded agencies?

ISON itself was discovered and tracked by a pair of amateur astronomers beholden to no government.

If ISON (or any other incoming celestial body) was any danger to earth, you would have heard about it from the telescope junkies all over the planet by now. This kind of talk, that the government shutdown is being done partially to hide ISON's danger to earth is pure paranoia and an insult to amateur astronomers everywhere.

You're assuming that astronomy works like it does in Hollywood. Since the government has the biggest telescopes, they get first chance to see and then hide the big threats coming at us until the last moment. Ridiculous.

In fact, what you're claiming is that we NEED these government agencies to protect us from astronomical threats, and that's some pure statist BS right there. Give me the amateur and student astronomers over government bureaucrats any day.

Here's a joint effort

It will however enter our solar system grazing the sun for the very first time in it's life. Could it be affected by the Sun's gravitational pull and change direction? This new comet not yet has a "Set" orbit like Halley's comet.

If I disappear from a discussion please forgive me. My 24-7 business requires me to split mid-sentence to serve them. I am not ducking out, I will be back later to catch up.

I'm into this stuff too

I would like to share a very cool program with you. I have not updated mine yet so it does not render ISON yet. But a current download should be updated and probably have ISON added to the data base.

The program is called Celestia and is free from sourceforge. It is very cool for folks that like astronomy like myself. I have used it for over a year now and it has been a stable and safe program.

If you "Speed" it up and turn the "Orbits" box on then go to Saturn it will blow you away! You will wonder how all these moons and asteroids do not hit each other. It really is cool!

If ISON is now in it you will be able to watch the trajectory towards earth.

Thanks

I will definitely check it out...

You are very welcome

It is in real time, I have had the best time with my Grandchildren using this to show how it all works. They now no longer fall for the "if you don't go to bed the Sun will never come up" gag anymore, lol.

here is the problem

with you thinking. You believe or think that comet ison is maybe a threat or not what it is THEN you search for clues to varify that thinking/believe. that's not how science or real investigation works.

Good brainstorming...

You are partially right...in essence...I got you to bite and participate in the discussion...lol...have a great day! :)

That's exactly how real

That's exactly how real science works. A hypothesis is a guess.

a guess based on observations and data.

This started with no data or observations.

maybe I'm wrong

but I always thought that you look at the evidence and then decide where it leads you not the other way around.

The most historic example

The most historic example of his explanation is Cristobal agreeing with a hair brained theory that the earth was actually round and then setting out to prove it as fact. It all starts with an educated theory/hypotheses that then has to be proven as fact by gathering the evidence.

There was plenty of evidence for a round Earth at the time,

and despite modern myth, the going consensus at the time was that the Earth was indeed round.

http://www.todayifoundout.com/index.php/2013/05/people-in-co...

Columbus did not sail West on a guess or a hunch.

The question wasn't of the roundness of the Earth, but how much empty ocean you had to sail through to reach land, and thus, if it were possible to make the journey with the supply limitation of modern ships.

That's a fact Sam

Aristotle was the first to speak of it in the 6th century BC. By the time the Hellenistic age came around it was regarded as fact. Then religion decided it just could not be true and set the world backwards for many years. Yes, I think he was a history reading man and read theories that were considered heresy by the church at the time.

If I'm not mistaken, that article I linked even addresses that

Catholics were not against a round Earth.

I'll have to go back and read it again.

I stand corrected Sam

You are right, there was only one work in England that talked about a flat earth. But it was describing an Egyptian work thinking it was flat. Then the Catholics took this and spun it into a rumor that the Anglican church believed the earth was flat when in reality they did not.

Did you read the bonus facts at the bottom about Zheng He ? Apparently he may have reached both east and west coasts of north america between 1405 and 1433 with ships 400 ft long and having nine masts, Long before Columbus. I love history and glad I was wrong!, Thanks man!

No problem. I hadn't read the bonus facts yet, but I had heard

that it was believed at least one Asian culture made it to Peru and possibly Chile. I had not heard of anyone making it to both sides of North America. Thanks for the tip and I'll get to reading myself!

Synonym-Theory

4 b : an ideal or hypothetical set of facts, principles, or circumstances — often used in the phrase in theory.

6 a : a hypothesis assumed for the sake of argument or investigation.

Cry wolf?

Celestial bodies, comets coming at us. Oh my. Planet x redux???

Quick, buy up blank T-shirts, put a bid in on some hill country in Africa, write a book, sell lots in African hill country. Oh, and buy home in Canada to flee to when it misses us.

If a comet WAS going to hit our planet and there's always the possibility, no one would believe it! The Wolf is now oblivious to the tears.

Don't be frightened, if one hits, it hits. Can't go out, catch it before it hits and throw the thing back.
I'm more concerned about the man made natural disasters. [Unfortunately, that isn't an oxymoron]

Clue #3 is bullshit

The guy quoted says:

NOTE ... there is a youtube video with clips of my voice from a 2002 radio show taken out of context which is being passed around where it sounds like i am saying there is a solar system coming into ours at the present time ... this is a planted misinformation piece meant to defame me and my work ...

Thank you Canada!

I noticed the OP did not include any links. McCanney constantly warns people to not believe youtube quotes of him, he has all of his past shows on his website (http://www.jmccanneyscience.com/ ) so if someone can tell which show he said what is in clue #3 (or anything else as crazy), I for one would appreciate it. Otherwise, it ain't so!

Glad to know you listen to him, Canada! (and I'm sure he does too)

I just Googled him and

I just Googled him and visited his site and found he disclaims what #3 attributes to him right on the front page.

The author of this article, "Live Free or Die", is either deliberately spreading crazy rumors or is a terrible "reporter" who doesn't bother with basic fact checking.
