Vermin Supreme?

I just can't help thinking...

is this part of his insideous plan for a free pony for every American? Or just a chilling prophecy?

There is nothing strange about having a bar of soap in your right pocket, it's just what's happening.

I still prefer the original design.

.

"Jesus answered them: 'Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.'" (John 8:34-36)

This is a clunker like many here have said

Someone said that learning to be a hacker is going to be a top survival skill for good people.

This clunker is an example of something that can be neutralized or hi-jacked and turned by a high school kid with proper training.

That's awesome

Ingenious, what a feat of engineering. The fact that it was developed with a mind for military application is sad though.

Freedom is a byproduct of acceptance - judge not.

me in a car vs. that

me in a car vs. that thing....I'm down

It's a good thing...

I will hear it coming.

yes!

That was my first thought too!

I think they over estimated the sneaky...

Did you see the Atlas robot

Did you see the Atlas robot that can balance itself? http://m.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-24427821

In my opinion, the drone

In my opinion, the drone arm's race will spell the end of governments.

The most deadly drones are not going to be hunks of junk like this thing. They are going to be small insect-sized drones capable of delivering a dose of poison that kills a person. They are going to continue getting smaller and smaller and more deadly with longer range until you can't tell if its a mosquito, or a death-bot.

Imagine when such drones eventually find their way to the internet where they can be downloaded via open source and built by the average person at home from spare parts.

What the hell are governments going to do with all their fancy tanks and planes when political figures everywhere are under constant threat of being assassinated by the disgrunteled 14 year old kid in his mom's basement?

Guess what elites, there's a lot more of us than there are of you.

Indeed!

"...Guess what elites, there's a lot more of us than there are of you..."

yea...ain't that the truth! and they are afraid, it may not seem so, but they definitely are or they would not work so hard at mind control (and physical control) on their slaves.

We're just a buncha uppity slaves around here and our numbers are growing!

I think you are right about drone technology and where it will go. I have watched too many kids with their homemade RC drones flying them (and expertly I might add!) on the internet of late to even consider arguing against your point.

Talk about a dystopia

If that's the future, it's going to be horrific.

Why? You think we'll get

Why? You think we'll get better with psychopathic governments dominating and enslaving us through a monopoly on reliveant force? A drone war arm's race will certainly have some pretty nasty dangers associated with it, but then, so does personal fire arms ownership, but I think we can all agree that every sentiant being has the right to defend himself with RELEVANT technology.

The free market will find ways to mitigate the dangers of this eventually and drones will become a part of every day life, as will standardized defenses against them. But if its ugly in the beggining, it will be well worth it if it brings us a future without governments hunting us down and slaughtering those of us who won't be slaves because they have lost the monopoly on force.

Ray Bradbury foresaw this

in his book, Fahrenheit 451.

I think that...

I think that "Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley might be closer.

RickStone

I don't recall any robotic dogs in Brave New World...

But there are robotic dogs in Farenheit 451.

Pandas can't drive.

I'll give you ...

I'll give you that one, it has been 40 years since I read them both and I confused the two.

I See A Potential Need

...for local "leash laws" to be updated. An idea for a better use of these things would be an added event in the rodeo circuits.

Imagine a faster, more agile,

Imagine a faster, more agile, armor plated one of these with missiles, 40mm bofor anti aircraft automatic cannon and a jet attached for aerial capabilities...

Man, we need a plan lol

Forget this one

The things that will hase you down in 12 years time are probably airborne, having a weight of half a pound or less, quiet. fast and either deadly or incapacitating 90% of the time.

Don,t believe it? Well nobody believed a computer could beat a human champ in chess either. There is already a movie of some guys having attached a paintball gun to a quadcopter and that works already...

Try this...

Try this...

It's an AR15 style shotgun with a 10 round magazine. Load it up with OO buckshot and it will take care of low flying vermin.

RickStone

I saw this and thought...

I saw this and thought that a stainless steel cable strongly stretched between two trees would be effective at keeping it out, disabling it and or knocking it on its side then use sledge hammer on it. Low tech vs high tech.

RickStone

That gave me chills...

That gave me chills...

To have control,

they gave up agility, instinct, heart and spirit...

What is the purpose of such endeavors?

Life is unparalleled...this metal brain is nothing more than an extension of metal hearts...

Father - Husband - Son - Spirit - Consciousness

The purpose is eugenics

... these robots are part of Rockefeller "final solution"

The good news is...

it can't sneak up on you. You'll hear that thing coming waaaaay before it gets there. Plus I'm guessing it can't swim either. "Come at me bro!"

For now, I'd agree.

For now, I'd agree.

But if americans don't find a way to bring the traitors ruling over them today to justice and before ten years or less, I'm afraid we won't look back at this finding it funny or lame - at all...

Today's trend of ongoing affairs in this country is really starting to stink awfully, if one asks me.
