Deadly force should be last option. Stand-off between elderly woman, police ends after 6 hours

A six-hour standoff between a 77-year-old woman and several police agencies near Port Huron has ended with the woman being taken into custody and no one being injured.

Port Huron police said the chase started around 11: 30 a.m. Saturday when they attempted to pull over the woman for speeding in their city at Military and Pine streets.

Instead of stopping, the woman took off and a chase ensued. Police report speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour. The elderly woman also displayed a handgun during the pursuit.

Well imagine that

For all the folks who can't imagine any way to resolve a situation other than killing the old lady, here's one for you. I commend the officer who kept his fellow officers from executing her.
