Huck will soon surpass us.

Huckabee's supporters are not hooked on moneybombs. They contribute more nearly every day than we do. He will have overtaken us by month's end if we do not pour it on. See:

Although the campaign is already running broadcast media ads in a number of Super Tuesday states, they need another $5 million to beef up the ad rotation and afford more direct mailings. These buys need to be made in advance of Feb. 5.

This is starting to piss me off.
I don't like to run around calling troll. If you are a Huckabee supporter go away and please consider Dr. Paul when the Huckster drops out next week.
If you are a Ron Paul supporter then why would you post such a bs headline on DP. We've raised millions for Dr. Paul compared to Huckabee. Plus, we'll really know where we stand in a couple of days on the 31st vis a vis the other campaigns relative to fundraising. So, Huckabee can catch us for a couple of days, he's gotten Millions in free coverage by the media since Iowa, and that's helped his fundraising.
But, after Huckit places third or fourth in Florida and the party begins to coagulate around Scamney or McPain, Vice President Huckabuck will be gone until the convention..
Right now, we ought to be thinking about how to appeal to some of Huckabee's less dogmatic constituents. Ron Paul will not deliver to them the end of days that Huckabee offers, but, at least he'll keep the government out of their lives, reduce their taxes so they can give more to their ministers, and, declare his personal belief that life begins at conception. If they want to keep defending Israel they can send their children over as missionaries or mercenaries or whatever to help in the fabled crusades.
So, please change the headline or delete the thread.
Angry??
Please visit www.ronpaul2008.com and share your most generous donation TODAY!
Even $10 or 20 helps!
I'm sending 20, and I am not ashamed.
My wife is NOT happy that I've donated so much, so I am sending smaller amounts more frequently. I sold a kerosene heater last week for $50. Guess where the money went?
Don't stop now. You don't have to send $500 or $100 or $50. But who here can't send ten or twenty? And if you absolutely can't, don't be discouraged. Sign up as a precinct leader and get contacts. Knock on doors, make phone calls, or do whatever you can.
It's a revolution and we're on the front lines!
...let it not be said that we did nothing.
-Ron Paul
Huck gained CREDIBILTY with EARLY successes...
....and BECAUSE of those successes, he gained NEW supporters that had NOT donated before....they are doing it NOW. Momentum is a bitch, and one I tried to downplay in my mind at first. Having seen it in action this primary season is sobering.
Lacking the time needed to reeducate every citizen in this country with Ron Paul "truth", the only thing we could have done well to BUILD our base during these early states was to DO WELL in Iowa (third, beatng McCain), and in New Hampshire(AFTER beating McCain, how do you think we would have done.....third, second, FIRST?).
How easy might canvassing have been post-Iowa/NH hypothertiacal successes.......new supporters, new VOTES.....NEW DONATIONS. not to mention a SUPERCHARGED base rewarded for their blood, sweat, and tears.
Legitimacy in the eyes of the average voter in this country, perceived or real, is apparently worth alot, both in votes and in money. it is too bad the "official" campaign did not realize this ahead of time. Pat Buchanan had been suggesting it for months.
Let me add that I feel alot of the enthusiasm here (in the base) was dampened because of this very fact. WE instinctively KNEW that momentum could help our cause greatly and were frustrated at the "official" campaign for not acknowledging it as well.
I loved the money bombs because they raised money, raised awareness, and raised ENTHUSIASM in the base and in people wanting to participate in something unique and exciting. They were a great tool for canvassing, and I am certain they raise more money than simple "continuous donations".
The money bombs are not the problem....legitimacy IS. THAT is why Huckabee is outraising us now.
On a positive note, if Ron Paul WON Maine, I guarantee funds would pour into the coffers. WINS in Feb.5th states would result in the same thing.

Dead on
Dwelling on the past, but clearly Iowa/NH was critical to legitimacy. Looking forward, any win will confer some media respect on Dr. Paul. It's more than Edwards, Richardson, Dodd, Biden, Kucinich, Thompson, Hunter, Tancredo, and Guiliani have done.
You're forgetting two things
1. MsM has dumped the Huckster now.. so no more mass airtime... his job of votesplitting to keep things fluid is over.
2. It doesn't matter if he had one Bajillion dollars right now. Every time he opens his mouth, he creates another flap. So he's finally coming off as what he really is... which is nothing more than a cheap car salesman.
~Live life to its fullest, with an open heart, open arms and most important... an open mind~
Is this true?
MSM dumped him? I don't watch anymore so haven't notice. I did watch the debate and his egg hunt and highway comments were so ignorant sounding...
Mathew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
Wow! Surprising to See
Everyone who can, Donate now.
Life isn't fair!
Yes, Huck get/got help from the Old Media, but that doesn't change our reality. We have to do more/work harder/give more or just give up and whine about the unfairness-- You decide---Sometime life just sucks, it's not fair, but President Ron Paul is worth it!
The Huckster is broke. Ron's
The Huckster is broke.
Ron's in this for the long haul, and we are too.
Huck is about to take a giant campaign dump.
don't count
Huckabee out.
He has 38 million baptist and a hoard of other 'purpose-driven' evangelicals at his disposal...who needs money or media.
Actually no
The media isn't supporting Huck anymore, they are supporting McCain and Romney.
Huck has been thrown off the boat, he is not our enemy right now he is faltering badly money wise and vote wise. He will drop out after Feb 5th, we don't need to burn out bridges with his supporters right now. Though healthy donation fights are great, be careful with the insults.
I know my dad is a Huckabee supporter, he feels the media has thrown him overboard but would support Paul if Huckabee drops out (says Huckabee is the only one supporting Christian values, which is kinda true, once he drops out there will be a LOT of evangelicals looking for someone to support).
Huck has a huge lead in Georgia.
He could win several states Feb. 5, money or no money.
New Hampshire and Ecuador
You're right
Huckabee is almost in the same boat as Dr. Paul now - belittled as having no chance to win. We need him to stick around through Feb 5th and win some southern primaries so they don't default to McCain or Romney.
A Brokered Convention Depends On It!
The votes must be split on super tuesday in order for a brokered convention to occur. After Huckabee drops out, evangelicals will avoid voting for Romney on religious grounds, McCain and JulieAnnie are too liberal for them too, so, a guy like Paul who holds these tuths to be self evident, that men are endowed by their Creator.....will be the candidate that they will come out and vote for. If Ron Paul pulls the evangelical vote, he will win most of the southern states. Alabama and Louisiana are already on board and may influence others with their overwhelming support. Paul will win big in the midwest with his stand on personal liberty and in the northeast because of economics and nationwide because of his consistent stand against going to war in the name of Fascism. I pray God will take a hand in this election and turn the hearts of our people.
Friends, please....
....the only way a "brokered" convention truly helps Ron Paul is if he actually WINS a significantly LARGE amount of delegates ahead of time.
There is about one week left in this campaign, like it our not. Rudy and Huckabee are in until AFTER Feb. 5th. How we do on Feb.5th will dicate if Ron Paul is a player in the show or not. If momentum and legitimacy was a problem for our cause during these early states, just wait until the frontrunners get close to the numbers needed to get the nomination. Ron Paul will be totally forgotten, by MSM, casual voters, on the fence undecideds, etc.
Remember, part of being a sheeple is that they follow the flock.
1 week. Give it all. Do it all.
"Luctor et Emergo" - Struggle and Emerge
Time to convense.
Remember those delegates are only promised for one round, and I don't know if delegates for candidates are promised at all. After Feb 5th we have 6+ Months to make the public LOVE Ron Paul. Whomever is the top delegate candidate has a guaranteed delegate count that could be as low as 30%. The rest can switch at will after the first vote. IF we can really shake up the party, strange things could happen, delegates could vote their hearts. But yea, it would take the hand of God.
Who would Huckabee endorse if he dropped out?
I'm wondering who his delegates from Georgia, etc., would vote for at the convention if Huckabee was not there. I think Ron Paul is a strong possibility.
same with my parents
and the lady holding the huck sign at the FAU debate
agreed...MSM is done with Huck
and are now in the McCain/Romney mode. It's fascinating since Dr. Paul will not be run off the stage by the MSM and GOP leadership. He's running on beliefs, they are running on a desire for power. As the field narrows, RP's views are going to stand out more and more.
Media
The media is helping him. But he is so far behind it isn't funny. The media is the only reason he did 11% in NH with no org and no money.
