EDIT - Police Chief response to DC shooting implies devaluing of natural right to life

Reminder, the new cool is killing people for non-compliance. Whoever has the guns makes the rules (just like the old country):

"Still, the family of 34-year-old Miriam Carey called the shooting unjustified, and some deadly force experts agree it merits scrutiny..."

D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier said she was confident after the shooting that Carey’s actions were “not an accident,” but the department’s internal affairs division is investigating as part of standard protocol.

that article shows no such quote from the police chief.

Of course not.

What other implication could there be to the statements she did make?

I'm sure she had already seen the video of the encounter before she made her comments.

If, after watching the way the officers responded when the driver tried to drive through the first barrier, she truly believes the right course of action was taken, then residents of D.C. are in more danger than they realize.

We are witnessing our nation's law inforcement agencies treat their own citizens like collatoral damage.

You're right to life ends the moment you can be desribed as threatening.

That is, if you believe allowing yourself to be maimed or killed by law enforcement officers is a civic duty.

You don't implicate things by putting quotes around words that someone didn't say. Well, that blog apparently does, but reasonably honest people don't.

...and I definitely can see how that's confusing.

Thanks for the feedback.
