Quote of the Day: The Fourth Turning Has Arrived

An impasse over the federal budget reaches a stalemate. The president and Congress both refuse to back down, triggering a near-total government shutdown. The president declares emergency powers. Congress rescinds his authority. Dollar and bond prices plummet. The president threatens to stop Social Security checks. Congress refuses to raise the debt ceiling. Default looms. Wall Street panics.

- From The Fourth Turning by William Strauss and Neil Howe, published in 1997

We've BEEN in the 4th Turning for a while .....

I read the book too. we've been in the 4th turning for a while--but it's guaranteed to get buttloads worse. Hold onto your hind ends!

Oh the Gov is shut down?

I hadnt noticed. Thank you Lord just keep it shut one more day each day I pray.

thanks for the Krieger

I'd forgotten about the blitzKrieg. I used to have it bookmarked and visited regularly. I got a fresh computer many months ago and had nary a thought since. Until now... sorta like bumping unexpectedly into an old friend...

''Shut down''

is just the official msm narrative. Fear and loathing is the goal and more control over us is the end result.

Speaking of which, here is a YouTube with the same title

The video is about 3 months old. I watched (listened to) it a couple months ago, and it is awesome. I meant to post it, then I forgot. Thank you for giving me the opportunity again.

This is Chris Martenson interviewing Neil Howe. William Strauss, unfortunately, passed away.

He's the man.

beautifully brilliant!

"This current rally has a hothouse quality to it. It's like a beautiful orchid growing in the middle of winter, because there's this wonderful little construction that's been placed around it." :)

Martenson - Howe, good stuff!

"The snow just accumulated on the cornice. It didn't actually dissipate." :D
