Rand Paul, Ron Paul Endorse Ken Cuccinelli for Governor

Dear Friend of Liberty,

I realize you haven’t heard from me in a while. Thank you so much for your prayers and support.

I have been suffering from a severe illness that has me home-bound and in bed much of the time.

But this election in Virginia is SO critically important I made myself get out of bed to write you !

Our liberties in Virginia are very much at stake in the Nov 5th Election !

I knew this would occur...

because it was announced in the Washington Times that both Pauls were going to help Ken Cuccinelli get out the vote. I wouldn't expect either of them to back Sarvis, especially since he's not a Republican. Although recent polling has shown Sarvis with up to 10% of the vote, those same polls also showed that his support was soft. Terry McCauliffe is hoping that this trend holds, but it probably won't, because many Libertarian Party supporters will switch to one of the major party candidates right before Election Day. Typically, Libertarian Party candidates only get about 2% of the vote, if that. They really don't have a lot of political power, and in the VA governor's race, have no chance of winning but having the potential, in a very close race, to ensure victory for a far Leftist Democrat at the top of the ticket. Should McAuliffe become governor, and somehow get Democratic majorities in both state houses; many of the Leftist's priorities will be met, to the detriment of our Constitutional rights. All one has to do is look at Maryland, which has draconian gun control laws, in-state tuition for illegal aliens, same sex marriage (government mandated acceptance of homosexuality) a "rain tax', increased taxes on gasoline, alcohol, and tobacco, and more restrictive regulations. When a disease (Leftist political agenda) takes root, it usually spreads, as those who push this agenda are committed to implementing it everywhere. This is exactly why McAuliffe should not win, and ONLY Ken Cuccinelli can beat him.

Hope Ron is feeling

Hope Ron is feeling better....

If you live in VA

You will know that we have a surplus right now while many states are running a deficit. McDonnell has been good for VA's economy. Cuccinelli will continue those fiscally conservative policies.

"Once you become knowledgeable, you have an obligation to do something about it."- Ron Paul

how do you figure that?

Virginia just had the biggest tax hike in history and Cuccinelli has pledged not to fight it. He refuses to take a pledge not to raise taxes. He supports the Virginia transportation plan.

I am not

fully on board with how they went about that transportation plan but if you look at what McDonnell has done as a whole we are a healthier state because of his conservative budget.

Is anyone bothered that Ron

Is anyone bothered that Ron Paul did not support the real freedom candidate over some hypocritical Republican.

No

Sarvis is a keynesian, loves teachers unions and favors a flat tax. Meh. Not my state, though, got enough problems in CA as is, lol.

Ron is endorsing the better

Ron is endorsing the better candidate. Sarvis ran as a Republican in 2011 and now is running as a Libertarian to divide the liberty voters and help T-Mac win.

yes

No

Sarvis has done a terrible job at appealing to Virginians.

In the middle of such an awful economy in our country, legalizing marijuana and fighting for gay marriage are secondary issues.

Yeah right

Sarvis has done such a terrible job of appealing to Virginia voters that he is only polling at 13% with no money or name recognition as a third party candidate unfairly excluded from the debates.

I see now Sarvis signs in Richmond city than either of the others. Just the other day a local tea party activist tracked me down to get Sarvis bumper stickers and liturature. Yep, no appeal at all

Thetis

What does he stand for?

Going to his website his main difference is support for legalizing MJ and same sex marriage. These are priorities right now?

"Once you become knowledgeable, you have an obligation to do something about it."- Ron Paul

well it

Rand supports him, but that is expected.

However, I saw nothing of Ron's support. It looks like maybe VA is diverging from the two party system as Sarvis' numbers continue to improve. 12.7% in a state wide election is amazing.

I hope we see more 3rd party rises in other states too

I hope we see more 3rd party rise-ups in other states too.
Sarvis is polling at 22% of the 18-29 year olds!
