Strategy For Making Shutdown "Hurt" Similar to Military Tactics

More specifically, it smacks of those kinds of collective punishment tactics used to "spread the pain" to the civilian population when cracking down on insurgents who may have general popular support.

Its amazing how Obama and the people around him view the American people as an occupied population, trying to make them "hurt" and arbitrarily punishing people with unnecessary actions like barricading popular monuments, shutting down the Amber alter site, and others I am not aware of.

The goal of scaring, inconveniencing, and making life difficult for those who are supporting the other side in the conflict has military attributes and implications.

The way the administration views this is that they have to make the segment of American civilians who are politically supporting ("providing aid and comfort" to) the Republicans ("insurgents") pay.

The pain is not being distributed equally based on any objective, rational criteria of priorities for what gets funded and what doesn't. The Obama constituency is being sheltered from the pain while shifting it to the Republican constituency, to the extent possible.

Rand Paul pointed this out when noting the President's golf course remains open and funded, and Michelle's twerking video thing is still going on, while Amber Alert is shutdown and they're erecting barriers to WW2 memorial at a greater cost than operating the park.

These are tactics to demoralize and break the will of the people resisting Obamacare and supporting the Republicans. To make it too painful for them to want to continue the fight.

This is troubling and very revealing about the mentality of the administration and the DC ruling class in general. These are the kind of tactics you would expect to see from a foreign occupying power, not from a reasonable government that feels itself to be legitimate.

I'm not saying it is to the same degree, but it is the same in kind.

Good observations...

Except of course that "reasonable government" is somewhat similar to "reasonable gun control." The difference is that the second one requires the adjective "reasonable" to attain the status of myth.

The idea of "government" itself (i.e., legitimate authority) is already fundamentally like "Santa Claus:"

How can we have parks without the government?

How can we have Christmas without Santa Claus?

So...The Question Is

How do the Masters make the Shut Down hurt the Servants?
Those fuckers work for us.

Pick off the establishment one by one

Nancy Pelosi, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, Lindsey Graham, Eric Cantor, Barbara Boxer and Peter King are big targets.

John McCain, Harry Reid and some others are close to retirement. Are they scum? Sure. But I think it's better to focus resources.

Guys like John Boehner and Mitch McConnell are not our allies, but they will flap whichever way the wind is blowing.

Treasonous servants need to be whipped.

What would the Founders do?

This is only the tip of the iceberg

They will be attacking us from every possible angle.

Expect the right wing establishment to hammer and cut the feet out from under all our candidates. Amash, Cruz and Paul will be attacked relentlessly from both left and right wing media.

The establishment will be running their own candidates against any Congressman and Senator who they do not have control over.

If you really want to get active, infiltrate and sabotage those campaigns. They will be backed by huge amounts of money. Take their best weapon and use it against them.

Dig for dirt and guard against saboteurs.

Spread our message, share articles and clips, write letters and emails and be active at the grassroots level!

I don't think so

A lot of institutions that support liberals, NSF, NIH, NASA etc are also shut down. They also keep their constituency deprived and mad.

Yes, but...

...they blame Republicans and that takes some of the sting out of it for the liberals - it rallies them; whereas the rest of us, independents, libertarians, Republicans or whatever, are made doubly mad.

But come to think about it, I don't mind being made mad, because I intend to do something to those who make me mad. :))))

Freedom is the ability to do what you want to do.
Liberty is the ability to do what you ought to do.

Leviathan "doesn't do pinpricks" and it demands to be fed - NOW!

Leviathan "doesn't do pinpricks". It demands to be fed and its meals are the future production of ourselves and our children.

It borders closely

It borders closely on an act of war against the American People, in my opinion. They can "shut down" all they want, but the problem is that they are barricading legitimate businesses, shutting down national assets that require no maintenance, and generally going about making it as painful as possible whilst actually spending EXTRA money on security where there isn't need. It's disgusting.
