Stuff white people like: National parks

Image and video hosting by TinyPicOnly one in five visitors to the United States’ national parks is not a white person, according to a 2011 study. Or, as a New Jersey resident of Dominican and Puerto Rican roots who was invited Olympic National Park on a minority outreach initiative told The New York Times, “We’ve been here for two days, walking around, and I can’t think of any brown person that I’ve seen.”

The National Park Service, reports the Times, is making a play for minority youth. Partnering with outdoor outfitters and health and fitness advocates, they’re trying to figure out ways to convince those who are underrepresented at park sites that nature has something to offer them, too. “We know that if we get them there, it can be transformative,” Jonathan B. Jarvis, the Park Service’s director, said.

Sounds like another disaster plan for freedom

They want to transform it from a free wilderness to a roped off Disney world theme park of nature that is not to be accessed by humans except for designated areas. This will be another creeping "transformation" that has a long term plan to herd thinking into a new paradigm decided by the slave masters.

The most powerful Law of Nature is Time. It is finite and we all will run out of it. Use this Law to your advantage, for it offers you infinite possibilities...

That pic is from the 1950's...

visitors were white then too :)

I wondered if Obama had read this article, when he chose to try to cause as much pain as possible, and to do it by closing down parks and memorials.

Why does it matter what race visits a national park?

Stuff White People Like

Hey Chris - read this one?

I can honestly say that I browsed it at the bookstore and honestly was amused.

All art is only done by the individual. The individual is all you ever have, and all schools only serve to classify their members as failures. E.H.
