Justin Amash in Trouble - Pauliteers Unite - Money Bomb Stat

Direct from South Central Regional Executive Director of RLC:

"Republican party establishment insiders in Michigan have convinced lobbyist and investment adviser Brian Ellis to run against Justin Amash.

Ellis is a big-business and establishment friendly religious conservative.

Amash, of course, is the most dedicated and principled advocate of liberty in Congress.

This is the time to send the establishment of the GOP a message by providing Amash with such overwhelming support that he crushes their challenger.

To support Justin and liberty, please join me in giving whatever you can at the link below:

I asked about this, and it's because the fees are lower for high volume transactions than PayPal's.

I have contacted the webmaster at Amash for Congress and he has implied that getting a ticker up on the website would not be a problem, we just need to tell him what time frame it needs to be up. I suppose if we are serious about this then we need to pick a time frame, a goal and conjure up a little media magic to rally the troops.

No pay-pal

Hope they fix that soon.

BUMP.

Amash is not only in trouble with his own party, but it seems he also lacks support, at least monetarily, from his own backers. A Sept. 28 post on the congressman’s Facebook page alluded to a lack of funding: “I have some bad news. At this moment, we remain $12,373 behind our quarterly minimum. And we’ve heard in the last few weeks that the Washington political class is scheming to take me out. If we don’t hit our minimum target, they will be emboldened to run a challenger against me,” Amash wrote.

Brian Ellis is a NEOCON

and he plans to make his foreign policy views known in this race. From the Washington Free Beacon:

“He wants to be the next Ron Paul, and all I want to do is a good job for the citizens of the 3rd district,” said Ellis. “I don’t think his focus is here, his focus is elsewhere.”

He also predicted that foreign policy would play a large role in the campaign.

“I’m a strong proponent of a strong and viable national defense,” said Ellis. “I’m concerned about what I see are isolationist tendencies. I don’t think that serves our country well going forward, so this will be an issue.”

does anyone know if

does anyone know if Justin will set up a ticker for a moneybomb event? They don't have a ticker on the site now.

Also, does anyone know how Justin's constituents feel about him? How popular is he in his district? Is his district a 'liberty' district?

One more thing...

Per an Amash constituent contributor over at RPF, Amash got huge turnouts at townhall meetings concerning action over Syria which the constituency was overwhelmingly against. He/She also provided a Rand straw poll of the area where he destroyed Chris Christie.

I'm not so sure I would so far as to call it a liberty district but it seems that they are not antagonists of liberty by any means.

Trevor, Michael,

I have contacted the webmaster at Amash for Congress and he has implied that getting a ticker up on the website would not be a problem, we just need to tell him what time frame it needs to be up. I really think the campaigns

I really think the campaigns create the moneybombs and the community either gets behind them or they don't. It seems like there is some support for this one so I hope the campaign will set one up.

campaigns are an option

he has other options.. though I'm in CA and not MI, and not sure about MI laws, in CA, a candidate has options, his campaign, a PAC, the GOP county committees in his state. All of these organizations are accountable to the county and state SOSs, where they are established, and indirectly, the IRS through various government departments, fair political practices Commission, FEC.

Still a PAC would want to work with the campaign because a tight campaign has schedules.. for example, in CA, the funds received need to be reported within 24 hours, so the treasurer, or accountant, who is accountable, should be aware of the intentions, afterall, they could have a moneybomb planned..

Rand Paul's campaign has

Rand Paul's campaign has thrown their own moneybombs and so have others. There aren't any legal issues here, a campaign has a right to raise funds. The campaigns should do this and we can join them if there is support.

So

I think the general consensus is that the technical portion of a moneybomb will not be coming from this end. If the campaign were to take up the task I would suspect that they would like some input on how to effectively pull off a successful moneybomb to this crowd. So that being said... how long does it take to create all of the stuff to market a moneybomb... motivational videos, web pages, payment/ticker links....etc. I just ask because how long it would take for it to be put together would affect what time frame it would take place in. That in turn affects what the theme of the moneybomb should be to coincide with the time frame. This is input that the campaign might be looking for if they were to choose to take on the task.

True!

Rand's got top notch staff.. a top notch staff can make it look like there's no leagl issues, but campaigns are legal issues because the campaign has right to raise funds, and accept funds from PACs.

Appears to me, his campaign is content, contributions are study http://amashforcongress.com/

Bill of Rights day is December 15. That's enough lead time. Is it too close to Christmas? Or would bringing freedom for Christmas be a good theme?

Thomas R. Eddlem

Bill of Rights day...

sounds like a good time for a Fourth Amendment moneybomb for Justin... something that people from across the political spectrum could get behind... since the Amash amendment (to rein in the NSA) is probably what he is best known for nationally.

So the Republicans are primarying Amash?

They did that ever year to Ron Paul when he was up for reelection, I am sick of those insiders and their incestuous connections, didn't they learn anything from the last election? Maybe we need to reinforce the learning experience in the next election? Amash is in my congressional district and I will vow to not vote Republican if they pull this off.
