Truckers Ride For The Constitution
The following is my reply to Paul Joseph Watson at Infowars. Infowars has chosen to go against this legal protest. Infowars has refused to work with the organizers of this event and are now lowering themselves to propaganda. The trucker protest is on!! Please do not be fooled by information coming out of the Alex Jones camp.

Dear Mr. Watson while we appreciate your interest in our story we would appreciate it even further if you reported correctly. To the reader of this article: The Virginia State Police are working closely with our organization and have assured us that no such orders to the National Guard exist.

The protest moves forward. Lt. James De Ford whom we are working very closely with assured ridefortheconstitution.org early this morning that the ride was within the legal rights of the people and the government nor local or state law enforcement have no plans to intervene. The National guard has NOT been called in and I495 and the Beltway will be open to the protesters as planned. Mr. Watson if you want to report on this story please report it correctly. You can reach me directly here: media@ridefortheconstitution.org .. Please print a retraction and contact us for further coverage. Thank you.

Truck Driver Strikes of 1979

As the U.S. began to ration oil in response to the crisis, President Richard Nixon also led the push for a national 55 mph speed limit. This combination of events pushed many truckers to the brink of financial ruin. In December 1973, independent truckers initiated a strike with former trucker, Mike Parkhurst, leading the movement. The citizen's band (CB) radio, which became a symbol of the iconic 1970s trucker, was a useful tool in spreading the word to other independent truckers and organizing traffic jams to clog major transportation arteries. In 1976, the primary union for truck drivers, the Teamsters, called for a nationwide strike over disputes about wages. It ended after just three days when a new contract was ratified, allowing for a cost-of-living increase and a 30 percent wage hike that would be spread over the next three years. This was, of course, still the era when trucking and the airlines were under government regulation, similar to public utilities. Routes that existed and who could drive them (or in the case of airlines, fly them) were controlled by the government. By the end of the decade, both airline and trucking deregulation would become federal law.

LOL- so the big protest is being closely worked out

with state and local officials.

Once again - the pansy ass nature of this country is on full display

If a protest happens, and the protest follows the rules of which it is protesting against - is it really a protest?

Hey tough guy truckers - takes notes on how geriatric old men protest - you could learn a few things.

Tough guys follow the rules

Protests are organized..ever since Kent State.. protests and rallies are by permit, they are events, they are advertized and funded. Riots are not organized and they can ruin a protest.

Pansy ass to me is someone who doesn't follow the rules. It's one thing when someone doesn't know the rules, but when someone knows the rules, they follow the rules out of self respect and respect for others. If you have no self respect then of course you don't respect rules. The WWII vets were willing to go to jail to make their point.. reminds me of the movie "Cocoon".. this will give them something to talk about. There's no riots going on over it.

The truckers are pissing plenty of people off who had no clue this was going on.. it takes alot of organization and it appears it's getting good feedback despite those who don't agree.. a lot of people had to support this to make it happen.

Statistics Say That 40,000 Americans DIE On The Highways,

Every year, despite very strict driving "Rules"!
Truckers try to follow these posted rules, which are very different in all 50 states.
Split second individual decisions are made by truckers constantly to stay alive, and prevent serious harm to others.

From what I've read; 99.8% of all freight transported on U.S. highways, reaches its destinations safely, because experienced truckers know how to handle their trucks safely on all road conditions.
They figure out when to shift, when to brake with a 78,000 pound load, when to slow for impaired drivers, when to safely change lanes on busy freeways, how fast to take a sharp curve etc. etc. all by having good eyes, good reflexes, good hearing, and good mental focus.

Many times "Road Conditions" dictate the rules, not a government employee!

beesting

yep

and the truckers have permits, licenses, insurance, union dues, certificates, pensions, iras, benefits....

Looks to me like

Looks to me like you are following the rules right into slavery.

If I disappear from a discussion please forgive me. My 24-7 business requires me to split mid-sentence to serve them. I am not ducking out, I will be back later to catch up.

Well, I don't think so

As Bob Dylan said, "We ALL gotta serve somebody". No one forced me to take out permits. Yah gotta pay to play or suffer the consquences which is going to jail and getting defense attorneys and spending more bucks on personal BS rather than advancing whatever the issue or event.

Morality and Law are not the

Morality and Law are not the same. I hope you realize this already.
We've already had this battle a million times over. Our rights are sacrosanct and no law can overpower them for long.

"The United States can pay any debt it has because we can always print money to do that." — Alan Greenspan

Absolutely

I think one of the fist wake ups to reality is realizing that laws and nothing to do with morality and all about control. Governments come and go, with their laws.. what you don't want is more laws or worse laws than the laws you already have.. in our lifetime, that is the creation and establishment of the Patriot Acts over constitutional government.

I see

Asking permission to exercise a Constitution right is more important due to personal priorities of not being inconvenienced over principles. This line of thought is why we are where we are now in this mess. Too many complied because they didn't want to be inconvenienced.

It's not asking permission

It's about organizing a group of people publically.

yeah?

i do serve somebody, "I obey God rather than man.", "As for me and my house, we will SERVE the Lord."

Whom do you serve?

I use Blue Wave, but don't expect one of THEIR silly taglines.

me?

I give unto Caesar what belongs to Caesar and unto the Lord what belongs to the Lord.

Granger, you just don't get it or like talking in circles that

Ultimately disprove whatever convoluted point you're trying to make.

Oh look, It's Ira the Insulter

Bet I've pulled more permit for rallies and protests than you ever will.

Look it's Granger the tool!

Only a sucker pulls papers to do what is a God given right

It's not a god given right

It's a constitutional (legal document) that is supported (with legal documents).

Permit = permission. A Right

Permit = permission.
A Right is something you don't need (a permit) permission to exercise.
The 1st amendment is not a permit. It is a declaration of rights which are subordinate to no law.
I no more require a permit to speak than I would to breathe in and out.

"The United States can pay any debt it has because we can always print money to do that." — Alan Greenspan

You need a permit to speak to a large group

or stopping traffic or that could impede other's rights to go about their business is a common area. Even in your own home, if you have a loud party, you need a permit in some areas, especially if traffic is involved, parking for example. If you think God is going to protect you from secular power, go for it, maybe you can make an exciting YouTube out of it, but it's going to cost you, and the more you protest, the more the charges against you.

Granger,

Your Californication is showing!

true

it just keeps flushing up insults

TRUE

Commiefornia is the nations biggest insult. It makes sense why you want to be a part of it!

Now run along and support some law, or make a motion for more control in the GOP! OR, howabout honoring your loyalty oath and move to that country that you can't ever mention!

The worst thing is...

The worst thing is it is spreading like cancer! There are tumors of this stupidity popping up all around the country! I have trouble letting someone try to tell me that just a little cancer is not unhealthy.

There is hope

Completely unexpected, my father told me last night that he thought abolishing the Department of Education would be a good idea.

He had been a staunch Republican, supporting the (Bush) wars, unhappy about what Obama has done with the military since he took over (which is essentially the same thing, but let him wake up at his own pace, as my previous attempts were met with heels-dug-in resistance).

I was so proud. The world is waking up -- including my immediate family.

I love you. I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you.

Yeppers, all of the Commifornia libtards eventually

move out after they are done crapping all over themselves, and try and re-create their shitty haven all over again. Can't we just give it to Mexico?

Lol, please give us rural folks a little credit!

It is the city folks that are nuts, Us country folk want to stay country even if we move to another area. It really is city vs country in this whole mess my friend, lol.

I did say libtards

most rural folks aren't as dopey about these things as Granger is. Might've been a bad acid trip she never came back from???
