WHOA! Establishment GOPers assail tea party on shutdown, willing to strike back at the tea party in next fall's elections.

By THOMAS BEAUMONT | Associated Press

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) -- From county chairmen to national party luminaries, veteran Republicans across the country are accusing tea party lawmakers of staining the GOP with their refusal to bend in the budget impasse in Washington.

The Republican establishment also is signaling a willingness to strike back at the tea party in next fall's elections.

"It's time for someone to act like a grown-up in this process," former New Hampshire Gov. John Sununu argues, faulting Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and tea party Republicans in the House as much as President Barack Obama for taking an uncompromising stance.

More proof we're winning. They can't stop us now. Too many good people know the truth...

Trillions of dollars in debt... and it's all the tea party's fault

Bring it on old and dying off establishment

A good quarter of the party regulars are dead in our local area from the Ron Paul 2008 election.

So bring it, for every one the establishment primaries, we will primary two establishment.

The establishment loves war, they got one.

Establishment D's and R's attacking Liberty Movement.

The Tea party beat down the Democrat gun grabbers. The Tea Party stopped the Carbon Dioxide Tax. The Tea Party stopped war with Syria and WW3.The Tea party is standing up against Obamacare slavery.

If The establishment GOP keeps this siht up, we're going to this to them again;

There is nothing "grown-up"

There is nothing "grown-up" about spending money you don't have.

And let's not forget the hostile "enforcer" role Sununu played in the RNC convention in 2012. Perhaps his anti-tea party stance can be used against him...

He's the man.

Bring it ! B i t c h e s

Blame your failures on us when you lose, take credit for our efforts when you win.

We see your b.s.

Bring your weak neo-con stuff... we won't run.

Also could be used a hijack libertarians

so vet your candidate carefully, especially those claiming to be anti establishment.

Political pimple-squeezing

The Rockefeller RINOs hate independent, libertarian's strong appeal to common sense almost as much as Progressive hate literal constitutionalists.

Since each needs to be feared to be respected, both have decided to sweep up these similar stances under the same Tea-Party title, and arraigned a shut-down scenario where they hope to pressurize opposition against Liberty champions by blaming our pain on them.

The thing

that we forget is most Americans run their households like the federal government. No savings, tons of debt, buying crap they don't need with money they don't have.

Are we surprised that most Americans don't care about balanced budgets and are ok with kicking the can down the road?

They are

going after Amash and there will be more. We need to dig in now and show concentrated power. http://www.dailypaul.com/301900/justin-amash-in-trouble-paul...

Not surprised at Sununu

He's a true corporatist scumbag, one of the head numbskulls to cause problems at the GOP convention for the Ron Paul folks. I am however a bit surprised at how vocal he is willing to be against a populist movement to decrease government. The pretense of conservatism has faded.

LOL ...

I know they know what is going to happen.

What I don't get is why are they doing what they are doing.

Amash is not going to be in trouble.

A Rand Paul, or a Ted Cruz, or a Mike Lee is not going to be in trouble during primary season.

The McConnells and the Boehners are the ones that are going to feel the pressure.

I think the status quo is going to give it one last go during the campaign season.

I guess they have nothing to lose. They would prefer to retire than to change their stripes so they are going to have one last go around.

The only thing that is bothering is that there appears to be a concerted effort to recruit democrats in open primary states to vote in the Republican primaries in order to maintain to status quo.

This might work ... or it might backfire.

We are playing the long game and we don't care if Republicans win.

I would choose Alan Grayson over a Peter King any day.

So what if the Democrats take over the house. They are going to be more ideologically in line with us on Civil Liberties and monetary policy and foreign policy anyways.

Our coalition is going to be accross party lines. We will not be limited by artificial and arbitrary political boundaries.

God Bless.

Go ahead and expose yourselves, repub progressives.

Attack us, excoriate us with your empty rhetoric for all to see, and reveal your false conservatism, your lies of constitutional fidelity. Enjoy your last gasps of power.

Or at least use it on really really really juicy stuff...

NO MORE LIES. Ron Paul 2012.

so the establishment

is upset that someone has a backbone. They should really think this through. Should a spineless person really fight someone with a backbone? Dont you think you will be a little out matched?

Keep thwacking the hornet's nest

You'd think they'd have noticed we have a bit of sway in politics. Mr. Barton is going to find that out come the next election.
