PBS's Tavis Smiley: 'Black People Will Have Lost Ground in Every Single Economic Indicator' Under Obama...

SEAN HANNITY, HOST: My last question to you. You often do these seminars with the state of black America. I've watched them on C-Span and different channels, right?

HANNITY: Are black Americans better off five years into the Obama presidency?

SMILEY: Let me answer your question very forthrightly. No, they are not. The data is going to indicate sadly that when the Obama administration is over, black people will have lost ground in every single leading economic indicator category. On that regard, the president ought to be held responsible.

But here's the other side. I respect the president. I will protect the president. And I will correct the president. He's right on this government shutdown. Republicans are thwarting the rule of law with the Constitution. If they let this debt go into default, they're trampling again on the Constitution.

Whose Constitution would that be?

The fictitious one the programmed into people's heads.

Welcome to reality, Tavis. Your arrival has been long overdue.

Now, what are you prepared to do about it? Perhaps challenging more vociferously our imposter / Oreo(TM) Cookie / bankster bitch president and "his" policies may be in order? Or try to open more eyes in the black community to this whole scam? You've been played like a chump, and haven't we all....

What would the Founders do?

Is hannity ill?

He looks like he's lost a lot of weight and his face was a little sunken.

I would say the lost ground

knows no racial divide.

And for anyone who votes for someone based merely on skin color - you get what you deserve - hook, line, and sinker.

The law cannot make a wicked person virtuous…God’s grace alone can accomplish such a thing.
Ron Paul - The Revolution

Setting a good example is a far better way to spread ideals than through force of arms. Ron Paul

Well said.

True indeed.

What would the Founders do?

Racial Equality.....

Agreed. I would say that racial equality will be achieved when the unemployment rates for African Americans and white Americans are more or less the same.

Sean Hannity is hard to

Sean Hannity is hard to stomach. I actually like Tavis Smiley though it is clear that he is deficient in his understanding of economics. He has been very respectful of Ron Paul in the past and he has been courageous in his criticism of Obama when other black media figures have capitulated and gone along with the official agenda. He has always conducted a respectful interview and I think he deserves credit as one of the "good ones" regarding media personalities.

I like Tavis Smiley as well.

Oh, he reflects his liberal bias. But I agree that his interviews are respectful. I've also heard him criticize a program or individual I wouldn't have expected. I think he's more honest than most journalists and a truth seeker. And not as a journalist, per se, but just as a man, I admire him for doing what he can to try to make a positive difference - including his putting together the state of the black union for a decade and his philanthropy.

I could never watch much of Sean Hannity. It was too frustrating because of his treatment of complex issues as if black and white, reduced to polarizing cliches; and, most of all, his interruption of guests. I imagine he's good for those suffering from low blood pressure.

When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the Universe.

Sean Hannity is hard to stomach

Listening to him is right up there with passing kidney stones.

NEO-liberals view the world through the lens from the likes of REM....

....in my experiences lol. They really think they they are doing right and are true believers of their ideology for the most part.

Unfortunately they cannot come to grasps with the harsh realities like how merchandise ie. electronics, and various foods actually gets to their fridges and homes.

Though their mindset is emersed in views such as situational ethics, they have a hard time dealing with things when the tables are turned on them. All of sudden there is a right or wrong. I have personally witnessed this with a neo-liberal friend and he seemed to agree on this point.

Tavis Smiley has shown Dr. Paul

Smiley has shown Dr. Paul lots of grace and respect over the years. You'd think that by now he would've dropped the stupid stuff...

The reason liberals are ignorant of economics is because they hated math and logic in school (or their teachers did). Actors and "personalities" also cut history and a few other classes, but were very popular (I'm generalizing, of course; there are exceptions). They're not necessarily evil, just ignorant or lacking in aptitude. They have other skills and aptitudes.

But that's why somebody else needs to point out that we won't be defaulting on the debt (e.g., Ron Paul).

Somebody should also point out that Obama won't "negotiate" because he took too much flak for his previous "red line" comment. Let that be a lesson to us not to tease him when he does the right thing and allows Congress to weigh in on Syria.

Sometimes politics is sooooo high school.

What do you think? http://consequeries.com/

They're not critical thinkers

They're not critical thinkers and are mentally retarded. They think they can make things they want happen by sheer will. We should all learn to use their dismissive facial expressions back on them.

It's not true.

I'm making that progressive democrat dismissive facial expression I learned at the sustainable development meeting.

Oh boohoo.

Republicans are thwarting the rule of law with the Constitution.

The Constitution is the law. This is the worst comment this man could have made. I agreed with much of what he said but accusing someone of using the Constitution to thwart the law is impossible. What this guy is admitting is that the laws we have are unconstitutional.

My thought exactly

He's Still an Obama toy

But it's a start
