Who let all this riff-raff into the (Congressional)room?

"Ha ha, charade you are"

Pigs was also a great anti-ruling class song.

Beauty born from tragedy - his father was killed in WWII, and his mother jumped off a building (hence "Mother, did it need to be so high" at the end of Mother).

I love you. I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you.

The real plan

behind this charade by the establishment collectivists, was to build hatred by the moronic sheeple, then at the tipping point concede to the status quo, and then blame it all on the Tea Party faction of the GOP. Boener and the GOP leadership are corporate collectivists, and had no intentions of doing what's best for the Republic or the American people. Their real goal was to eliminate the nemisis against their master's plans, the grassroots backed Tea Party. They could really care less if the GOP disintergrates, they only care about pleasing their masters, hoping to gain favor to be protected when the enevidible SHTF occurs. Those who do what their master's want will be alowed to enter the underground bunkers, those who don't will be left to face the masses.

Don't despair..."The moment

Don't despair..."The moment something appears it's already in the process of disappearing"

Think... If the ReBLOODlicans did the right thing they would never go extinct. We need them to do exactly what they do so they will go extinct. If anything we want them to do more... and faster... so their extinction will come the sooner... same goes for the DemoCRIPPS.

Not only did the ReBLOODlicans cave on the debt limit and the shutdown... they also gave back the sequester cuts... Wow.

+1 because,

...I think what you say is true. If the GOP as a party dies, a new party can be reborn in it's place, like a phoenix from the ashes.

I hadn't contemplated that before. It's not like a 3rd party will be effectual.

This weekend, there will be an attempted purge. Both sides are going to try to purge the other.

Civil war.

Or does the tea party flame out? Another good idea that didn't pan out?

Drama on the highest order. I have reclassified it as entertainment. It is the same struggle for power that is carried on every day on every level.

The show goes on...

No deal
"On Saturday morning, House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) told House Republicans in a closed meeting that there is no deal to reopen the government and hike the debt ceiling, and no negotiations going on with the White House, according to two sources present."

If the other 83% of government were shut down

this play acting would not be taking place

I had not seen a glimpse of that movie in over 25 years.

I had not seen even so much as a glimpse of that movie in over 25 years. For the first time since, the mere mention of it did not cause.... stomach issues that were reminiscent of what I experienced in the late 80's. Typically since then, at least until now, if mentioned, my stomach would churn while my mind could not help but think of a substance used in rat poison.

To the point at hand though, I agree with the reclassification of recent events as "entertainment" at best, a "distraction" at worst.

After seeing that scene again, I can't help but think what I might glean from that movie today, knowing what I know now. However, the prospect of such an endeavor only brings to light memories of a scene from planet of the apes:

I chose this longer version cause it captured Lady Liberty in it - (the only reason I could ever conceive of going to NY.)

Truly

timeless. I never get sick of Pink Floyd.
