And he's a wife beater piece of shit. So that's two strikes against him.
Ha - that is funny...
Wow I'm funny even when I don't try to be. Or even know why. Let me try again: "Two strikes" "TWO STRIKES" "tWo sTrIkEs" "2 strikes"
Damn! That is quite the test his employees go through. Great story, brave reporter.

Wow. Great work, Mr. Miguel.
That's better than police issue. Cops need a day or two after a vest hit.

Reminds me of a line from one of the dumbest movies I've even seen . . . never mind the guy who says it.
"What if he shot you in the face?"
Dumb and Dumber is a brilliant movie btw...
How about using this material to create many parabolic disc in a pattern that every projectile is returned to its original point... wouldn't that be cool and surprise the hell out of the shooter...
Just a thought!

I initially thought this thread was going to be about some fasion designer who thought he was abovethe law, going on a rampage at work shooting his employees...in the stomache no less, as if some kind of sick-twisted-artistic motive.

Not with "one well placed shot" from 700+ yards with a scoped 45-70 H&R "Scout" Buffalo carbine. If you live though it you will be down for the count for a couple weeks. It is going to pick you up and throw you about 20 ft backwards and stop your heart and lungs on impact, now feel safe with a vest?
If I disappear from a discussion please forgive me. My 24-7 business requires me to split mid-sentence to serve them. I am not ducking out, I will be back later to catch up.
to KNOCK someone 20ft backwards. You watch to much Hollywood.
I own one and the 45-70 gov. was used to shoot Buffalo. It would take a full grown 2000lb bull and lift it off of all 4 legs and slam it on the ground. It has been used to take down elephants in Africa. I personally put one at an angle through three cars parked side by side, I picked the bullet out of the dirt 20 ft on the other side. All three cars rocked around a bit after impact,it was impressive. A 45-70 loaded "hot" with a 500 (yes 500) grain bullet Will pick up a person and throw them about 10 ft backwards. This is if the bullet has no restrictions to prevent it from passing through a body. The energy and force that would be applied to a bullet proof vest stopping it would be absolutely incredible! No, it's real, it would be at least 12-15+ ft.
But by comparison I just shot a rabbit in the garden with my 12 gauge at about 20 feet. Now considering the shot weight to rabbit weight ratio, which would be significantly closer than a 500 grain bullet to a grown man, you would think the rabbit would be blown back several feet but it didn't. Then again it wasn't wearing a vest. LOL
The thing is that if the bullet has enough energy to knock a man back 10-20 feet then when you shoot it it should knock you back 10-20 feet. The projectile doesn't gain energy after it leaves the barrel.
I have seen reflexes throw animals back when shot which can be mistaken for bullet force. Perhaps you could stuff a bag with something resistant and shoot it on video. I have looked on the interwebs for videos that show such an impact but couldn't find much more than people shooting milk jugs filled with water.
Point being that I would have to see it to believe it. :-)
This thing is rough to hold onto when you unload it. It lifts my front leg off the ground and rocks me back onto my brace leg behind me, It is a cannon. Not quite as rough when I use lighter bullets. I am getting 458 Win Mag performance out of this with 300 grain bullets loaded up hot.
I just loaded some casings hot with sabots and 30. caliber boat tails. My math is adding up to be real close to a 338 lapua. I will try to do that for you next time I go out to shoot, I have an old solid down stuffed mattress I can wet down and try. This would be pretty close to a comparable target that I could video.
The advantage I have is in loading very hot rounds. my retro H&R current manufacture is one of the few you can do this with. The chamber thickness is overkill and the metallurgy is up to date. Truly an impressive antique round that is finding it's place again in modern times.

and nobody's shooting anybody - this is a peaceful revolution.
I always wanted bullet proof clothing too.
