In just 3 days, the U.S. will be forced to make a decision that will affect the entire global economy. If lawmakers don't find a way to re-open the frozen government, and then agree to raise the national debt ceiling. America will default on its debts. If that happens, the shock would be felt well beyond its own borders. RT's Anissa Naouai has the details. READ MORE: http://on.rt.com/ptxstq

RT (Russia Today) is a global news network broadcasting from Moscow and Washington studios. RT is the first news channel to break the 1 billion YouTube views benchmark.

** "Peaceful" is how RT correctly characterized them, and condemned oBUSHma's goonsquads in riot gear, while CNN dirtbags ridiculed them as a bunch of crazies, and demanded the neocon tool on their payroll to denounce them as "embarrassing." That, is the kind of Amerika, we're all living under, now (yes, I know you know that I know it's all rhetorical, go with me here).

Well, them WWII-era's REAL men got some more fire in them; they will be back for more, tomorrow!

Another group of military veterans is scheduled to arrive in D.C. tomorrow morning to carry out a second protest, demanding lawmakers immediately end the government shutdown.

The event is scheduled for Oct. 15, 2013 from 9:45am-11:00am and will begin at the National WWII memorial. Some of the participating organizations include: the Air Force Association, CWOA, US Coast Guard, Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, Military Order of the Purple Heart, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Wounded Warrior Project. UPDATE 1:

RT also posted this, by the same reporter, Anissa Naouai, for their Russian and International audience, but not at RT America page (though not that it matters as most who have to go to YT to find RT vids would most likely visit both RT & RT America, anyway); it's definitely an interesting, delicate info-'Dance' that Putin's RT's playing:

What is American exceptionalism? Where does the US's world monopoly on democracy come from? How does the US give itself license to do as it pleases? "Exceptionalism" is a film by RT correspondent Anissa Naouai.

But in RT America, they posted these; think Bob English may have professed publicly that he's an Austrian, from his past interviews on RT (not 100% certain though):

It's Week Three - or Day 14 - of the government shutdown, and the debt-ceiling deadline will hit as early as Thursday. Over the weekend, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) met with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) in an attempt to broker a deal, but the only result of that meeting is that both men are publicly expressing optimism about an agreement. On Monday, a planned meeting at the White House between President Barack Obama and House and Senate leaders was postponed. For more on how the progress (or lack thereof) between the parties on a budget or debt-ceiling deal is affecting the global economy, Meghan Lopez talks to Erin Ade and Bob English from RT's new show "Boom Bust."

Unlike American MSM Pressitute whores, RT America was at least kind enough to interview the participants IN studio:

Protests by veterans and truckers on Washington Beltway, the National Mall and at the White House over the weekend expressed the discontent felt by many Americans about the stalemate in Washington when it comes to funding the government and raising the debt ceiling. RT's Meghan Lopez talks to "General" Ernest Lee, the drive coordinator for Ride for the Constitution, and trucker Mike Bethuy to find out what the weekend's protests accomplished in the eyes of those who participated.

On Sunday thousands of veterans from across the United States lead a pilgrimage to the World War II Memorial on the National Mall, broke down the barricades and dumped them on the White House lawn. Truckers surrounded the memorials and tooted their horns in support of veterans. Feeling like pawns in this political game, the protesters sent a strong message to President Obama: "Tear down these barricades." Many protesters also called for the president to be impeached. Perianne Boring has more from Washington.

I'm pretty confident that he's an Austrian economist when he writes for Bob Wenzel's EconomicPolicyJournal.com & Zero Hedge:

Sorry MMTers, the Economy Doesn't Exist and GDP is Bogus

Wednesday, July 13, 2011

The other day, a practitioner of Modern Monetary Theory (MMT), Robert Koerner, called for a sythesis between MMT and Austrian Economics. Robert Wenzel, at EPJ Central, provided an Austrian rebuttal here, which provoked an interesting discussion in the comments. Unfortunately, this appears to be part of a trend, in which the bogus constructs of MMT are passed off as somehow part of Austrian economics, which they are most definitely not. This post will demonstrate that MMT is simply a justification for the broken and irreparable status quo, but with a novel face.

It seems like RT missed the point of the protests.

It seems like RT missed the point of the protests. They made it seem like the parks and monuments had to be closed because maintenance workers couldn't be paid. That misses the fact that there wasn't really any maintenance that needed to be done at a lot of places that were closed, and also misses the fact that more money was spent closing/guarding some places than it would have cost to keep them open. RT seems to be trying to turn all of the protests into addressing the shutdown, gridlock, potential default, and unpaid government workers, when a lot of the protests really seem to be addressing government hypocrisy and the taking advantage of the shutdown for political gain with unnecessary abuse. Does RT have an agenda here?

Out Of Money? Sham?

No America is not out of money! It takes in approximately 250B $ per month. The Interest on our debt is approx. $20 Million per month. It doesn't take a brain surgeon (sorry Dr Carson) to understand this whole default issue is a political sham...

and creating cover for insurrection and gives up on critical thinking and lots of evidence people are too afraid to look at.

Can we stop doing all the things we are doing that we do not want to do while still doing what we need to do?

lol. you were being rhetorical, right?

They're media, and Russian state media at that: of course they have an agenda. They're gonna take any opportunity to make US govt look bad; it just happens that right now they don't have to overly spin anything to make that happen when the US govt commissars are practically writing all the headlines for them.

I watch RT daily...

and find it to NOT be biased against America...our government's behavior is so bad (how bad is it!?!), that all RT has to do is tell the truth and Amerika looks like the bully/hoodlum/murderer/swindler/fraud that it really is! Far, far better coverage of both America's and world events than ANYTHING on MSM.
Typically, I tune in for 3 different shows: Their 1/2 hour "headline news" shows, Abby Martin's "Breaking the Set" show, and their multi-part documentaries...always well done!

For me, personally,

I view everything as just info, good and bad, relevant and/or irrelevant, spinning and/or omitting, worthy now but sometime not later, etc.

That said, I whole-heartedly agree with you:

our government's behavior is so bad (how bad is it!?!), that all RT has to do is tell the truth and Amerika looks like the bully/hoodlum/murderer/swindler/fraud that it really is! Far, far better coverage of both America's and world events than ANYTHING on MSM.

and, I believe I've stated it as so, here, too:

They're gonna take any opportunity to make US govt look bad; it just happens that right now they don't have to overly spin anything to make that happen when the US govt commissars are practically writing all the headlines for them..

Though, suppose you agreed with the first sentence,

They're gonna take any opportunity to make US govt look bad;

slightly less than me .9)

'Tis all good: of course, under the current circumstances, where the ubiquitous tyranny of govt is laid so plainly bare, an actual propaganda against it, unfortunately will always most likely come off as the truth (because sometimes it is! lol), as often times factual reality will coincide with a particular propaganda.

Though if they over-hype something that isn't so, obviously, that's another level of spin; not saying this particular vid was overhyped, but you get the gist.0)
