Captain America Once Said

Doesn't matter what the press says. Doesn't matter what the politicians or the mobs say. Doesn't matter if the whole country decides that something wrong is something right. This nation was founded on one principle above all else: The requirement that we stand up for what we believe, no matter the odds or the consequences. When the mob and the press and the whole world tell you to move, your job is to plant yourself like a tree besides the river of truth, and tell the whole world----No you move.

Just for kicks

Didn't Huckabee say something to that effect during the 2008 debates with Ron Paul? Something like this... Even if the whole world wants us to end the wars, we won't do it because we promised to bring democracy to the world and darn it we'll keep on doing that.

To which Ron Paul said, (I paraphrase) it is the responsibility of the people through their representatives to correct the mistake and not perpetuate it.

So if the world says to make peace, trade freely, and talk to one another, i'd say...

ok, i'll budge.

Guess the trick is to figure out if you're stand by a river of truth or a stream of lies.
