We the People Have the Power, If We use It!

I was listening to a podcast of the Power Hour.
It's broadcast daily on the Genesis Communication Network both on the internet, and on shortwave.
http://www.gcnlive.com/programs/powerHour/
The guest was Larry Pinkney, former Black Panther.
Black Panther???!!...Yes, and it was an eye-opening show. Pinkney details the infiltration of the Black Panthers by agent provocateurs, his views on President Obama, and former Attorney-General Ramsey Clark's request for Lynn Stewart to represent the "Blind Sheik" during his trial. He also related how the government persecuted, set-up, prosecuted and imprisoned her. All during her fight against cancer, refusing to grant her proper health care which led to the disease metastasizing throughout her body.
The month of October is Black Panther Party History Month and LARRY PINKNEY will join TPH to discuss the history of the Black Panther Party. Larry is a veteran of the Black Panther Party, activist, and former political prisoner.

That

John Shaw, Tallahasee FL, State Sen candidate, 27, appears to have a future in politics ahead of him.

I had no idea it was Black Panther month, bump.

John Shaw was Interesting

...and he shed much light on the uses of hemp..I had no idea.
and although I've never considered myself a fan of the Black Panthers, Pinkney was an eye-opener.
I remember the videos of the members of the "New" Black Panthers at the polls...intimidating voters... agent provocateurs? thugs???
I have more questions now than I had before, and felt compelled to share this here on the DP...and to research on my own.
Go figure...me, of all people, reading about the Black Panthers.
Ya learn something new every day.
Thanks for the bump.

It's interesting isn't it

The kind of thing that makes you wnder where you were, how didn't you know, or how did you miss this or that? And what especially gets me, is when you were there, as when when you were part of the scene, and then you read about that scene decades later.. and you have to wonder, if you were there.. you remember being there and people, but what is reported is not what you experienced.. I expect to read this about Ron Paul rEVOLution.. I expect to read about it one day and wonder what and why I didn't know this and that...

This got Downvoted ?

..Already...without a comment...so much for "open minds".

Part two of the show:

"Joining TPH today to educate us on the uses of industrial hemp is JOHN SHAW. John is a 27-year-old business owner, IT Specialist, and three-time candidate for the Florida State Legislature".

This was quite a show, but then most of Dr Riley's shows are thought-provoking and liberty-oriented.
