Boehner could be going down, rumors have it that there are already people stepping up to run against him.

Reading other blogs and websites looks like Boehner is probably done here. Insiders are saying there are House members already stepping up to run against him because of his planned use of Democrats to pass the Senate fiscal trash.

I welcome it, call your House Representative and tell the. to replace Boehner, with someone that will fight.

Right-wing nut jobs.

The article seems to attempt to lead one to assume that the "hard-liners" on the right are suffering from delusions of grandeur, poor chaps. It reminds me, as the MSM often does, of Iraq's Minister of Disinformation who assured Iraqis that the Republican Guard had secured the Baghdad Airport, right before he was arrested by the U.S. military.

I heard not a word from my Republican Senator Roy Blunt throughout this whole fiasco. He is not up for re-election until 2016. He supported the Senate deal. At the end of the article was his quote along the lines that the only reason the Dems don't look bad is because the Republicans look worse. He is correct about that. This next year is going to be very exciting for the liberty movement. Establishment Republicans are watching helplessly as their careers go down the toilet. Wishful thinking maybe, but my confidence that neo-cons are toast has never been as high as it is right this minute.

Senator Roy Blunt, Monsatan man,

gave us the Monsanto protection act. Hopefully you can find a man that won't sell his soul for $64,000.

Gold standard: because man can not be trusted to control his greed

Who will replace him.

Seriously he needs to be replaced.

The problem with the Boehners of the world is...

they never consider the Constitution unless backed into a corner, when it should be the first and foremost consideration at the outset of each and every piece of legislation.
ACA is a prime example. Had he considered constitutionality way back when Roberts made his tortured ruling, or even better, had he made the constitutional case at introduction and stayed with it, many more voters would have seen the light, and this whole process would be quite different.

Undo what Wilson did

no, not Boehner!

He has done so much to advance the cause of Orange-Americans.

Find how your rep voted and kick the asses out who betrayed us yet again.

So Boehner becomes the scape goat.

Not that he doesn't deserve it. But look at how once again the blame is not placed where it squarely belongs. As long as some one is made to blame, the Democratic "party" gets off scott free.

If the government defaults then the Republicans or Obama are to blame. If Obamacare is funded then it is Boehner's fault.
No matter what happens the liberally biased media will make sure that their party is not damaged.

And WE lose again.

Republicans govern from fear

Republicans govern from fear and not from convictions At the end of the day the Republicans are worse traitors to their constituents then the Democrats. The Democrats have no qualm about destroying liberty-- the republican do it because they lack guts

Speaker Amash

Personally, I think "Speaker Amash" kinda has a ring to it.

So be it! I do as well!

It would sure be an improvement on the status quo.

I have always had in the back of my mind

that it would have been terrific if Ron Paul had been Speaker of the House.

Ron Paul is My President

Ron Paul can be the speaker of the house

The speaker of the house does not have to be an elected member of the congress.

"boner could be going down"

sorry but that is just funny

He does appear to be flaccid

...hope someone does replace him, though. It is becoming way too obvious that the Republicans are not different than Democrats.

We all want progress, but if you're on the wrong road, progress means doing an about-turn and walking back to the right road; in that case, the man who turns back soonest is the most progressive.

Should be a real reaming

What do you mean by "becoming"? It was obvious years ago that they're the same party in all but spelling.

bipartisan

"Bipartisan usually means that a larger-than-usual deception is being carried out." - George Carlin

Hs this a compromise?

People who keep calling this "Deal" a bipartisan compromise are wrong:

House Republicans wanted to defund ACA or delay it for 1 year (to treat individuals the way the President is treating Big Business); repeal the Medical Device tax; and ensure that Congress and President would have to enroll in the system before funding government. They also did not want to see the debt ceiling raised without sincere and concrete spending cuts.

Senate Democrats wanted to fully fund the government with no strings attached regarding ACA and wanted to increase the debt ceiling with no strings attached regarding spending.

"The Deal" = fully fund government and raise debt ceiling, while requiring a budget conference (that was already required), with no strings attached.

How is that a bipartisan compromise?

"Government is not reason; it is not eloquence. It is force. And force, like fire, is a dangerous servant and a fearful master." George Washington

You got that right

They backed down, no guts no glory. It's a major defeat no matter how they try to spin it.

No loss.

What he needs to do is switch parties.
