Macklemore and Ryan Lewis - My Oh My (Official Video)

This pretty much sums up what baseball meant to me growing up:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hvNQWQSwmow

We all share this eternally evolving present moment- The past and future only exist as inconsequential mental fabrications.

For LL...

Magnificent!

That was perfect and deserves a slap on the knee

The World is my country, all mankind is my brethren, to do good is my religion.

I was there yesterday.

Some people accuse sports of being a bread and circuses type bit. But for me and my family tiger baseball is special. You Red Sox fans understand.. We follow them on road trips.Ty Cobb is framed above our kitchen table. My moms uncle passed years ago. We stuck his picture on the upper deck ledge behind homeplate where its looked over every game for three years. Go Tigers. Good game tonight, good postseason, good series and still going.

Awesome series

Best I've seen in a while

Ain't going

It will go 7 with Max

But won't bode well at Fenway for the cats under that fan pressure

7th Games are intense

7th Games are the best. The anticipation. The tension. The fight until the very end. And then: May the best team win.

But first you guys have to win 6!

Michael Nystrom's picture

Yup

And like I said afterwards, my well of patience and tolerance is deep, but it is not infinite.

I've banned people and let them back 2, 3, 4, sometimes 5 times.

Those fine days are over. In the past I felt like Ron Paul needed the numbers to win, so I put up with a lot of behavior that I'm no longer willing to put up with.

If people want to act like adults here and carry on civilized conversations, I'm more than happy to host. If not, then...

Most Likely You Go Your Way (And I'll Go Mine).

Its like being a guest

If a guest comes inoto your site they need to treat others with respect.

I do agree. I do think at times I have not been as well mannered as I would like.

Somtimes the emotions get the best and I type my gut feelings not remembering that I am a guest in somone's area.

Thanks for hosting the site.

The thing I love about Dylan is that he evolved

This video shows all of those stages, and they are so distinct, like seasons. But seasons in people are not limited to just the standard four. So many stages.

And so freaky! Two army soldiers run by him, completely out of context, from 3:16 - 3:21.

What are those soldiers doing there? It is a complete non-sequitir.

This was the only thing I could think of.

John 3:16 - 3:21

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.

19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.

20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed.

21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.

Football bad?

Football violent.

Definitely notice: Tom Brady leads an invading army. That is the appeal of football. WAR!

Baseball different.

Baseball lazy slow.

Baseball abstract concept.

Baseball good sport.

Easy, Mr. Carlin...

You crack me up chris

Sports. It is all an expression of the same thing:

Tension --- rising, then ---- release. Into euphoria.

Did you catch any of those crowd shots? Those fans were in mortal agony! The tension - two outs, bottom of the ninth.

Dex among them. And now, like all those people at the game and throughout Michigan and surrounding territories, he feels like crap. I know exactly how Dex feels right now. Deflated.

On the other hand me, in Boston. I'm elated that the Sox won! As is the rest of Boston! Celebrations throughout the land at all the bars in town. Same as in 2007.

But the victory isn't really so sweet, knowing that Dex was on the other end of it.

- - - -

BTW 2007 was also the year the Pats got spanked in the Superbowl by the Giants. So that's what it has to do with football :D
