House stenographer: Holy Spirit moved me...brought to mental health hospital after rant

By JOSE DELREAL | 10/17/13 1:21 PM EDT

The House stenographer that took over a microphone and began shouting in the House chamber Wednesday night told a Fox News reporter that the Holy Spirit compelled her to do it.

“For the past 2 and 1/2 weeks, the Holy Spirit has been waking me up in the middle of the night and preparing me (through my reluctance and doubt) to deliver a message in the House Chamber,” stenographer Dianne Foster Reidy told Fox News’s Chad Pergram in a written statement. “That is what I did last night.”

Facebook posts examined:

"...Ms. Reidy’s Facebook page contained multiple religious postings, including one reference to "God’s Paratroopers.”

Fox News said Ms. Reidy is well-liked on Capitol Hill — hardly the radical partisan type — and her interruption caused several members to express concern for her mental health. The cable network also reported that Ms. Reidy was sent for a mental evaluation shortly after the incident..."

Update: “Believe me, Dianne is not interested in another episode.” (kind article)

Is that what it says in bible?

And if so , then why do others follow false communications through men.

I would be interested to know the page that saying is on too so I can read it. Otherwise it's just a well intentioned rendition or assertion.

It's my own experience

I'm not a Bible scholar, though I do enjoy Bible Study. I was raised on Ayn Rand, not the Bible. It's just some things happn in life as I explained in my post above, that the "Holy Spirit" is what Catholics and Christians would call it. If you've never had a an amazing experience that was unplanned, inthought of.. an event that doesn't make a lot of sense, but it's real.. maybe you can relate?

For me, it's part of what makes life's journey amazing.

Coincidence ?

I can eat a brownie and the same thing happens...

Just saying...

Btw, You're growing on me

I guess

That depends on the brownie. I was given a brownie once.. Betty's Brownies.. she sold them all over the place, I never expected a special brownie or I would not have eaten it at work.. I did not taste anything special about it, just tasted great, and then about 45 minutes after eating some of it, it struck me, and I could not stop laughing, so I had to go home from work early.

So I get what you are saying, but it's better than brownies.. it's the serendipty part (which you would probably have to eat enough brownie to throw up.. or maybe that was the mescal, it's all like sucking the gas from a whipped cream can "prize inside".. whatever.

It'll never work.--a priest or pastor is no better at

determining whether someone heard from God than are you or I.

I am a Bible believer, but I am always very leery when someone says, "God told me so and so". It's a long explanation, but in short, we no longer need a person to tell us what God says. We now have his complete written word. I'm not saying that the Holy Spirit didn't move her to say something, but there's no guarantee--unless she was making a definitive prophecy. We could then determine whether or not she is a false prophet by seeing whether the prophecy was fulfilled.

She didn't have to say, "God told me to say this". She could have just said her piece. The whole thing just seems really odd.

Could have been...

Could have been levedopa, reserpine, a beta blocker, or an antidepressant. I had very extreme dreams like this when I used nicotine patches to quit smoking. I also had these during extended fasting. So bad that I woke up asking myself if it might have been real.

If I disappear from a discussion please forgive me. My 24-7 business requires me to split mid-sentence to serve them. I am not ducking out, I will be back later to catch up.

I can't find anything

I can't find anything definitive of what it is she was shouting???

Reidy also reportedly said “A

Reidy also reportedly said “A House divided cannot stand — you are all sons of the devil!”

This woman's behavior and reactions are EXTREMELY similar to (if not the same as) the typical "mind control" victim -- or to someone who is, at the very least, under some sort of hypnotic control.

Could it not be possible that this occurrence was entirely orchestrated by TPTB to make conspiracy theorists & religious people appear utterly crazy, to the public, so that anything further that conspiracy theorists say (and post online) about the shutdown deal and the govt. could be more easily dismissed?

what else would be the purpose of staging this?

To cast doubt in the US Constitution in the eyes of fundamentalist Christians, and perhaps conservatives in general.

She just planted seeds in all the religious right's heads that the US Constitution, which until this morning they felt was so important to defend against TPTB, is a an evil document signed by masons; minions of the devil himself. This should soften us up for the big rewrite...btw, Arnold S. is lobbying to try to rewrite some of it so he can run for Potus...

OK....You make credible

OK....You make credible points.

I agree, but it's probably because she barely got 2 sentences

out before they started yanking her away.
