Get local news stations involved...watch this video.

We held a sign waving rally this weekend at the busiest intersection in Joplin, MO and invited the news stations. We did this last weekend too and all 3 stations that we invited came out and did positive stories. Here is one of the most recent:

This is a great way to reach the people in your area for free, not just the news story, but the sign waving as well. We had a ton of people honking and waving, and many stopped to get information, bumper stickers and yard signs. Be prepared with someone to be interviewed and have people ready to talk to passersby. Every trucker that passed by honked too...GREAT!!!!

Also be respectful of private property and know the laws in your area. In our area, you CANNOT hand out literature to passing cars, so people had to pull off the road to get the info. ALWAYS leave people with a good impression of RP supporters.

Be sure to thank the news crews and be polite to them. The reporter that we spoke too was well versed in the problems effecting RP's campaign and knew what questions to ask. If your local station actually does a positive story, be sure to thank them by calling or emailing. If their story is less than positive, DO NOT respond with anger, they need to be politely shown the truth. I know this has been said many times....forgive me for being repetitious but I feel that it is important to portray us the supporters in a good way. Don't give them more ammo to be able to say we are kooks.

Everyone start doing this now.

This is a great way to get the word out. Don't waste any time. Super Tuesday is only a week away. The more we can get Ron Paul's name out in a positive way the more people we reach. The more people you can get to show up to these events the better. Please, Do not wait until it is too late and have regrets about not doing all you can.

Media Matters

Just sent an E-mail to:
http://mediamatters.org/
About the media blackout of Ron Paul. How about e-mailing/posting on other groups about Ron Paul like:
http://www.moderatevoters.org/
http://www.cagw.org/site/PageServer
http://www.workingfamiliesparty.org/
http://www.oldamericancentury.org/
http://www.democracynow.org/
http://www.savetheinternet.com/
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/
What else? Maybe they all do not exactly agree with the Ron Paul message (and if they are way off I am sorry) but if they do we could get the word out and get some more supporters.
Just a thought. After seeing what we did with the Politico questions....
Thanks

They, and their neocon counterpart

"NewsBusters," are both hostile to a libertarian message. One fights for a tax and spend welfare state (MM) and one fights equally-hard for a borrow and spend warfare state (NB) but they're 2 sides of the same biased coin. This site, for example, busts more Ron Paul media bias in a crappy week than both of them have halfheartedly busted in their entire existence. Same, I'm sure, with RonPaulforums. The media bias situation in this nation, as we've all seen, is worse than people imagine, and part of that problem is that the "watchdogs" are biased as hell, too. I know. I bust NewsBusters-bias all the time, at will.

Joplin is coming on strong!

Richard, you folks are doing a wonderful job up there in Joplin these days. This is exactly the kind of work that need to be done (along with your other personal canvassing efforts - either as precinct leaders or otherwise).

I'm just sad that I haven't been able to make it to your rallies in person yet this past month. But I am still with you in spirit! (And doing all I can here in McDonald county as well.)

And in case you missed it: This morning, around 7 am KOAM-TV morning news ran another (very similar) piece about the rally. I actually saw that news clip before I read your post here online!

Keep the good news coming...

Sounds like Northwest Arkansas ..

is doing the same down there.

Are there any Ron Paul People In Kansas City or St. Louis?

Get together and call your local stations and help get the word out this coming weekend.

This Next Weekend Is Our Last Chance To Get The Word Out ...

the local stations before Super Tuesday. If you know any Ron Paul Supporters meet them this Saturday at your business intersection with a sign but call the local stations and tell them about your event.

Look Like a Winner

It's important to look like a winner. Canvassing is something most of the other candidates aren't doing. It's proof of strength.

Great Idea!!!

Right before Super Tuesday name recognition is very important. Some people vote just by a name they saw. Since the MSM has ignored us, local news is another important option. Great Job!!!

Great idea. Thanks. Hope

Great idea. Thanks. Hope people do this. In Iowa, I think we failed to realize this bec not all the meetups were this active...sigh.

Great idea!!

That's a great idea! Let's get all the local stations saying Ron Paul's name even when the National news won't!

The National News Media Is Trying To Elect Its Favorite

We the people have to call our local stations as much as possible to get the news out about Dr. Paul.

If you will and get off of your lazy butts, Dr. Paul will win Super Tuesday.

For the next 9 days call your local TV station to come out at your sign event at your most traveled area.
