** LOVED, and thoroughly enjoyed the little shots Glenn consistently took against the pressitute MSM (like the one that Anderson Vanderbilt 'CIA' Cooper is part of, and Andy just took it, without batting an eyelash, as if to pretend that CNN isn't the said degenerate USSA Pravda), throughout the above exchange xD

National Security Agency whistleblower Edward Snowden spoke out for the first time since seeking asylum in Russia in an extensive, encrypted interview with James Risen of the New York Times.

Snowden denied accusations that he had leaked NSA secrets to the Russians and Chinese, thereby committing treason. He said that he gave all the classified documents to journalists in Hong Kong, and did not keep any copies for himself "because it wouldn't serve the public interest."

Last week, privacy advocates visited Snowden in Russia, where he received the Sam Adams Award for Integrity in Intelligence Work.

RT's Ameera David speaks with Jesselyn Radack with the Government Accountability Project.

I love Edward Snowden

So far he has thrown the biggest wrench in the machine. I guess we are all nano-particles like rust eating at the machine compared to Mr. Snowden. Keep it going folks!

"Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect" - Mark Twain

can anyone please

Can any get me glen Greenwalds contact info?

Question to you, AnCap:

I understand that Snowden is in a unique situation and not many have preceded him. I completely support his efforts to release information that our tax dollars have paid for, yet, violate the Constitution in many ways, along with violating other Country's laws.

That being said, what in the hell is Snowden waiting for in releasing this information?

Does he believe that Americans won't be able to "handle" the implications and will simply call him crazy?

I, for one, am ready to kick this entire Tyrannical atrocity out of D.C. forever. The sooner, the better, Mr. Snowden.

Again, great post, AnCap. Keep them comin' and I'll keep comin' back to read.

Side note: Go SeaHawks! 6-1 baby!

If you don't know your rights, you don't have any.

thanks. personally though,

I think it's just both Snowden and Greenwald being fully aware of the 24/7 feckless cable-news cycle, that led them to release it in a piece meal manner.

geopolitically, it's quite brilliant: you let the issue simmer (letting critical mass of public sentiment among the sheeple and 'on the fence, but lightly politically informed' who may have never cared for questioning it, to build), you GET the ruling class and their sycophantic scums ON RECORD about lying and denying the claims asserted by Snowden's data, then BOOM, like that DHS-dildo frakker Rep. Mike Rogers lying and ridiculing Snowden (as if some non-techie former FBI lackey douchebag actually knows more about digital cryptography than a guy who worked as a cyber sleuth) had to smoke it, a couple days afterwards when Glenn released new revelations that NSA is spying on everyone and everything.

This has happened several times throughout the ordeal: govt terrorist scums lying, on record and their sycophantic turds in MSM providing them cover, on record, followed by Greenwald releasing a damning new evidence countering it all.

Plus, I'd say whether Snowden is some part of a more organized larger 'WhiteHats-in-govt/contractor-sector'-resistance or a lonewolf, or a more 'designer-geopolitical pawn,' as some contend, regardless, in the end, it frankly doesn't matter, as the results have been nothing less than spectacular!

Whether Keith Alexander lied or not, the revelations 'forced' the govt terrorists to reply, and Alexander testify (even though he obviously lied and perjured himself) it's now matter of public record. Plus, now he's put out to pasture (though will probably end up working at some privatized intel defense contractor: don't they all?) and has 'graciously' "decided to spend more time with his family ["...than with ours." LOL]"

And now, even though it's completely feckless and BS, at least CONgress is forced to act like they care, and do what they love doing: passing BS 'laws' (like the upcoming NSA 'reform' bill) to delude sheeple into thinking that they passed a couple of words that they never follow, but simply abuse, twist and manipulate regardless of supposed limits...that they put on themselves (that's what 'laws' really are, in the finality: pretend-'enforceable legalese' that govt/corporatists who wrote them merely use as an excuse, when caught doing the very things that they're not 'supposed' to do).

Point being, when you're the party 'forcing' your opponents to react, you're the one in the driver's seat. And Glenn and Snowden definitely are in the driver's seat, as far as this issue is concerned. So all in all, I'd say it's all worked out, accordingly.

I'm actually kinda impressed that even in this disastrously non-existent Ruling Class-scrutinous MSM, that they're able to drive this issue, this well.

Plus, while all these EU and Latin American political a-holes feigned and pretended to be 'surprised' by the fact that NSA has ALWAYS spied on everyone both 'friends and foes' alike, when they've ALWAYS known it themselves that that already were the case, but now at least publicly, it gives them PR-cover before their populace.

All of which is just one more reminder for all, that despite all the Ruling Class' tyranny, notice WHERE they spend most of their resources, time, energy and man-power on: Propaganda/mass brainwashing PR campaigns, on convincing us, to police ourselves, for they are a few, and We the Free Humanity, are a many.

There's a reason why from the Ancients in the days of yore to even Hitler, Stalin, and Mao and the current 'NWO,' they always had to constantly and consistently run round the clock propaganda campaigns.

All govts, even tyrannies, run on faith in the 'legitimacy of their power to govern,' in the finality, from their populace. Once faith evaporates in the 'governing order' of the day, it all collapses.

Sadly, even though the cycle of Ruling Class con has always remained the same throughout history, it seems that most good people throughout history never remember their lessons, and always allow internal tyrannies to foment until it's too late/until some more visible Rubicon has been crossed, then eventually replace them, then the cycle repeats itself all over again and again and again: pent-up frustrations explode, revolution, replace, more liberties or more centralized tyranny, economic boom or centralized control and a semblance of econ boom, decadence, moral decay, more demagogues than usual take further advantage & their corporatist sugadaddies re-consolidate power (as the "educated idiot" faux-intelligentsia of the day who apparently know all about history, until some 'peon'-layman screams at them that they're now living through what the Germans lived through during the rise of Nazis, as the educated idiots ridiculed them as "pfft, oh here you go: the Nazi card again? that only happened in the past, it can't possibly be happening now"), then as they always do: their hubris drive them overboard to absurd overt insanity, wars abroad & policestate (starting with internal demonization of select minorities be they marked by tribal or controversial political view distinction, then everyone else, including govt lackeys themselves) @ home to distract the populace, then the sheeple finally realize how utterly degenerate their Ruling Class has always been, followed by econ collapse, then revolution, then Press-"History, Go Recycle Yourself" button is pressed, again.

LOL. seriously, can we get off this merry-go-around, for once? geesh!

"Let it not be said that no one cared, that no one objected once it's realized that our liberties and wealth are in jeopardy." - Dr. Ronald Ernest Paul

Good analysis

The Nazis in particular were very concerned about public opinion. As I recall, the Gestapo would issue periodic reports to the leadership on the state of morale and what peoples gripes were based on overheard conversations, etc.. During the war they sacrificed efficiency in arms production for consumer goods (makeup, civilian automobiles, even pianos) almost to the end to maintain the fiction of "normalcy". Kinda like W's request that we continue to buy SUVs after 9/11. In contrast, the US demanded, and got, widespread and immediate sacrifices on the home front and never had to worry about the loyalty of its people.
Unfortunately, we seem to have gone the other way using the Nazi approach. Constant propaganda, spying, suppressing dissent, and increasingly desperate efforts to maintain a "normal" consumer society to keep legitimacy.

In the long run this is bound to fail.

Thetis

yup, history certainly does repeat itself, over and over,

for anyone bothering to pay attention.

as far as current govt terrorists persecuting their own supposed bosses, the citizenry? Think Judge Andrew Napolitano summed it up best, recently:

"If govt's on a witchhunt, they'll find a witch."

None of the above.

Anything that is "sensational" will be released AFTER Mr Greenwald has set up His new Media company.
Hell what is the point of having a pet whistleblower if you can't profit off him?

You Aren't Paying Attention

I'm getting pretty sick of the press asking what he's waiting for!

He released it ALL in Hong Kong months ago. DUH.

I just don't get why anyone doesn't understand that. He gave it ALL away before he left Hong Kong. He gave it to several journalists with instructions to release only stuff that would not endanger lives or national security.

Am I missing something? Why does anyone think he still has more documents? If you really want to be outraged, ask why Congress hasn't forced the NSA to release more documents.

What do you think? http://consequeries.com/

I'm paying attention. You're not comprehending.

Moving forward, what I should have asked is this:

"Why don't the JOURNALISTS WHO RECEIVED ALL OF SNOWDEN'S INFORMATION release that information to the public now?"

@3:00

AC: "how much more information is out there that will surprise people?"
GG: "THere are still a lot of stories to come. In many, many countries around the world, including in the United States. [...] There are genuinely, very significant stories to come."

Since you answered a question that was asked to someone else, tell me why Greenwald, SNowden et al are not releasing the details of what they possess?

"DUH".....Jesus Christ....

If you don't know your rights, you don't have any.

AC is friendly towards Greenwald and won't give him

a hard interview. Mostly friendly softball questions. They have lots of mutual friends.

Yet he will report negative about Snowden, but when Greenwald is on, he takes interview in different direction.

yep, noticed that,

too.

dittto AnCap..

loved it.
Anderson Cooper personifies the 'lipstick on a corpse'..
the whitewashed tomb..
and Greenwald is but the mirror where little 'Andy'
must look at and face privately,
his rotted, sold out soul.
Dr. Paul has the same effect on people.
Light v. Darkness.

thanks.
