"Keep Calm And Carry On"Submitted by quiltingsando on Fri, 10/18/2013 - 11:43
These words were used on a British World War II poster. When I bought my tin of tea recently these words as well as the tasty tea comforted me.
I wanted to share these words with you.
For six years now I have tried to make sense of all the nonsense that is happening in the world.
I concluded that the Fake news, politics and entertainment are somehow scripted to lead us in particular mental directions. The masses are swayed in marketing techniques used to sell products, only we are being sold ideas.
Consequently, I don't trust my thoughts or ideas anymore because I have to question where did I get them. What a predicament, a very depressing and confusing time for me. I thought, I was awake and not a "sheeple" only to realize I was still asleep and unaware of how I may be used to further an agenda.
I needed a break and time to take care of me and consider where I stand.
What did I do? I backed off the Daily Paul and all news outlets. I mended fences with family and friends that I may have tried to awaken but only drove away.
I don't consider myself belonging to any group not BIG L, little l libertarian, anarchist, democrat or republican.
As an Individual who loves her family and friends no matter what their beliefs, I will not let marketing and opinions break the connection I have with those I love and come in contact.
It is written to "love your enemy" I may not love them but I do pity them that they spend this precious time on earth trying to hurt and harm and control others. I have no leaders or heroes, I have only my inner voice that guides me.
I think we are born with instincts or common sense that if we listen closely will guide us well, but we must first block out the white noise that confuses, tempts or inflames our impulses.
It is lovely to be here at the Daily Paul among so many questioning individuals with inquiring minds, I enjoy our interactions and I now realize rather than be filled with fear, anxiety and worry.
I will do what I have always done my whole life when faced with adversity, challenges and depressing information,
Keep Calm & Carry On.
