"Keep Calm And Carry On"

These words were used on a British World War II poster. When I bought my tin of tea recently these words as well as the tasty tea comforted me.

I wanted to share these words with you.

For six years now I have tried to make sense of all the nonsense that is happening in the world.

I concluded that the Fake news, politics and entertainment are somehow scripted to lead us in particular mental directions. The masses are swayed in marketing techniques used to sell products, only we are being sold ideas.

Consequently, I don't trust my thoughts or ideas anymore because I have to question where did I get them. What a predicament, a very depressing and confusing time for me. I thought, I was awake and not a "sheeple" only to realize I was still asleep and unaware of how I may be used to further an agenda.

I needed a break and time to take care of me and consider where I stand.

What did I do? I backed off the Daily Paul and all news outlets. I mended fences with family and friends that I may have tried to awaken but only drove away.

I don't consider myself belonging to any group not BIG L, little l libertarian, anarchist, democrat or republican.

As an Individual who loves her family and friends no matter what their beliefs, I will not let marketing and opinions break the connection I have with those I love and come in contact.

It is written to "love your enemy" I may not love them but I do pity them that they spend this precious time on earth trying to hurt and harm and control others. I have no leaders or heroes, I have only my inner voice that guides me.

I think we are born with instincts or common sense that if we listen closely will guide us well, but we must first block out the white noise that confuses, tempts or inflames our impulses.

It is lovely to be here at the Daily Paul among so many questioning individuals with inquiring minds, I enjoy our interactions and I now realize rather than be filled with fear, anxiety and worry.

I will do what I have always done my whole life when faced with adversity, challenges and depressing information,

Keep Calm & Carry On.

Welcome back, Qs

As an 'old-timer' on the DP too, I remember your commentary on various posts as being very encouraging which I appreciated, just as it is today.

Good luck ahead : )

Hard to believe

it has been 6 years already, wow amazing.

I am so blessed to have "known" you Quiltingsando

We have participated in a wonderful R3VOLution!!

While we sometimes step back and reflect on where we have been---and where we are headed, we can be proud that we stepped up and did what we can do in our own way.

All I can do at this point is Stay Calm and Carry On!

(Yes, I have a quillow, and a Libertas flag!)

Hi! E.

Like the old saying "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times." These are the times that will test us all, may we possess the wisdom necessary moving forward to deal with whatever comes.

Peace

Just a minor correction, in that the WWII posters read "KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON". More info:

LOL

Busted, after I posted it I looked at the tin again and went, Oh,no but I couldn't figure out how to edit it. It has been a while since I wrote a post. Thank you for setting the record straight.

life, and the ones who think they direct it

cause the chaos and confusion we all feel and see
Titles and the like are created to do the same
Your identity is in whom you are,it is not created without
but from within, and it is not a one size fit all world as we are lead
to believe
All people poor or rich the same thing in common, and that is the ability
to sense right from wrong, good from bad,and we all have the ability
to draw from within ourselves the answers to all problems
We have also been given the ability to sense when things are not right
when things are right, and we also know what to do about it all
where some fail,is by not listening to themselves, but instead listen to others
and this is their/our downfall,no one has a special ability to direct others
away from their own confusion, conflicts,or troubles. This leads to more of the same
Our conscience, has a purpose,if we would only stop, quiet ourselves and just listen
When we do not heed that little voice we get into trouble
Most have let the state be that little voice, and this is not good,as it
does detriment to us all,but this is where the first paragraph comes into play
I whole heartedly agree,we can take in way to much and suffer an overload
but this is also by design,if i can get others to question themselves
then they are not listening to themselves, and I win
isn't it a grand design? get others to question and second guess themselves, then they in turn give that little voice to me,i am their conscience, their little voice, and I alone get to pass judgemnet, and direct their very lives, and all brought about by confusion, chaos, but mostly LIES
stay calm, carry on,and drink a cup for me

If we deny truth before your very eyes, then the rest of what we have to say,is of little consequence

Hi! deacon

it sure is important to quiet ourselves and just listen, thanks for sharing your thoughts.

thank you

and HI,nice to meet you, well sort of :)
if there is one nugget of truth,my hopes are someone sees it
and takes it to heart
I try,as hard as it is for me somedays,to put words/thoughts
out there for others, yes somedays I fail, sometimes not, these are the days
I rejoice in
anyhoo, glad you got something from it,and it wasn't a total waste of words

If we deny truth before your very eyes, then the rest of what we have to say,is of little consequence

to each his own

Never let someone control your mind or your desires for what is better. Love can change hearts. There is a great battle on what freedom is left and there is also an internal battle to always realize love can be the most powerful thing we have as individuals. Rise above fear and your mind will be free! Balancing how to regain and keep your own liberties is different for everyone, but everyday is an opportunity for LOVE! Never let LOVE go to waste!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your life is now...............

Absolutely

When we quit bending to fear we will no longer be controlled by anyone but our own person.

If I disappear from a discussion please forgive me. My 24-7 business requires me to split mid-sentence to serve them. I am not ducking out, I will be back later to catch up.

Right On!

Love is a precious thing to waste.

Concepts are a funny thing

A Native American like myself has about as much concept of "fear" as socialist Europeans have about the concept of "Private property". It is just not in our language or dialect at all.

Your presence is very welcoming and inspiring!!

Peace be with you my friend.

Can I share with you?

I would like to state that as a small business owner and hating some of the environmental laws on the books I really need to admit that if we could all live by the NA ten commandments things would be absolutely sustainable without question. Some of this sounds pretty close to the Libertarian platform. Check it out:

What a joy to read your words again.

QS!

Many of us eventually come to the realization that we must unplug at some point to regroup, recharge, and recenter.
You can't help others unless you help yourself first. This simple lesson -which occasionally eludes me- is as old as the hills.
I have enjoyed watching you learn and grow, as well as the way you've approached subjects with an open mind. You may not "trust your thoughts," but your instincts seem to be working fine.

Your creativity and generosity have also been an inspiration. (as evidenced in the comments below)
Glad to see you are doing well.

I always read what you have to say because I know I will learn something, thanks for the encouragement.

Welcome back QS!! So good to see you again! Thank you for

your lovely post. I don't think anyone leaves the DP for good :) We are carrying on and I still (of course have) my liberty tree flag!!

Hi! Debbie

Very telling statement...

"I have no heroes."

I realized I no longer have any heroes, either.

Where is my JFK? Where is my MLK? Where are the Roberto Clemente's of my youth? Those that place the greater good above personal wealth or personal satisfaction are very few and far between and why? Because, now, they are all "manufactured" by the Nation, as QS so clearly pointed out.

But there is one man. One man worthy of my "hero" status that I can hitch my wagon to in private or public without reservation. I have been waiting over 40 years for this man to show me the error of my ways.

Thank you, Dr. Ron Paul. If you ask him he will say that he is no one's hero, just a man with a conviction. Perhaps, that is what heroes are; people with conviction.

Dr. Ron Paul is the fourth hero I have had in my life. He stands in good company.

I will spend the rest of my life spreading the principles he awakened in me.

So glad your personal journey was a good one. Please do not hesitate to share your insights with us. We're all on a journey, sometimes alone and sometimes together.

Just by being here and posting, you may have encouraged some more of our old friends to come back.

Hi! Nonna

This journey is not easy but the sweat equity I put in, I hope to gain useful insight that will guide me on the correct path in the coming months and years.

"We can see with our eyes, hear with our ears and feel with our touch, but we understand with our hearts."

Nope. Not easy but, necessary.

You learned a valuable lesson that no one can teach while you were on that journey. In fact, I know you are still on it and it led you back here. Trust your gut and stay the course, wherever it may take you.

Unfortunately, some people haven't discovered that path yet and others never will. That's why I'm happy for you and for your return. I already see a subtle change in your comments. (I lurked here for about 4 years before becoming a member, so I do remember you well.) It's all good.
