Big business and conservatism are parting company

I hope folks can see the new alignment coming together.

Conservatives, Paleo-conservatives, Rational Libertarians, and non-Marxist Democrats on one team.

Marxists, crony capitalists, Republican statists, war Republicans on the other team.

The Democratic Party of today would literally be unrecognizable to Democrats of 40 years ago. Both D's and R's have become corporatist, fascist war-machine fans.

No, that's about the size of

No, that's about the size of it. The definition of Libertarian I grew up with was "fiscally conservative, socially liberal." I took this as the "rational" approach. There are also Libertarians who base so much of their "rationale" on emotion, rather than the Ludwig Von Mises 'Austrian economics school of logic'.

I was assuming he meant

I was assuming he meant logically consistent (rational), free-market libertarians as opposed to logically inconsistent socialist libertarians.

But as an AnCap, I root for libertarians not because of their logical consistency (I don't see a feasible way to actually "limit" government), but because they're a step in the direction of my personal ideology.
