American Police State: How They Are Setting It Up

Some recent articles on the Daily Paul got me into doing a little investigation. We all probably kinda sorta know this, but I haven't seen much in the way of connecting the dots.

Why are the local police departments acting like military? Why the "shelter in place" terrorism by the government? Why all the DHS drills? What is going on, exactly?

It's real simple. After 9/11, the people who want to create a police state in the USA got Congress to pass the Homeland Security Act (2002). This created the Department of Homeland Security.

In the former Soviet Union, it was called the Committee for State Security (KGB).

Like the KGB, the Nazi Gestapo, and the East German Stasi (secret police and state security), the DHS was not created to protect the people. It was created to control the people.

In 2004, the DHS hired Markus Wolfe, the former head of the East German Secret Police (Stasi), to structure the DHS.

Since that time, the DHS has been supplying local police departments with military grade weapons, training, and "advice" on how to conduct police work.

The ACLU has published some information about the militarization of local police departments, being funded by DHS:

"DHS grants to LPDs have totaled $34 billion as defense contracts continue to come without fail. Riot gear, military-grade weapons and training are becoming common place in cities and townships across the nation."

It also appears that DHS and the US military order "too much" equipment for the military and some of that is given to local police departments.

"The Department of Defense Excess Property Program (1033 Program) is authorized under federal law and managed through the Defense Logistics Agency's Law Enforcement Support Office (LESO) in Ft. Belvoir, Va. The 1033 Program provides surplus DoD military equipment to state and local civilian law enforcement agencies for use in counter-narcotics and counter-terrorism operations, and to enhance officer safety."

And now, the DHS wants to have the same (unconstitutional) spying powers that the NSA has:

"Domestic spying capabilities used by the National Security Agency to collect massive amounts of data on American citizens could soon be available to the Department of Homeland Security — a bureaucracy with the power to arrest citizens that is not subject to limitations imposed on the NSA."

Many people probably had a "gut feeling" about this, but when you check it out, it becomes crystal clear that the US Department of Homeland Security was set up to -- and is being operated to -- be the central agency to implement the police state.

The police state is being built THROUGH the Department of Homeland Security, just like it was in the Soviet Union and East Germany.

I couldn't find any real

proof that they did in fact hire Wolf at all.

Just claims in an article.

It was always much more than a "gut feeling" for me.

It has been my worst fear ever since the shock of 9/11 wore off and I was thinking straight again.

Sorry to keep repeating this but, things in the northeast are very different from the rest of the country. We see things differently than most because our daily experiences are very different from those outside of this area.

So glad you caught on! Maybe others will see things more clearly now, too.

Are you a POT or a PET - Person Embracing Tyranny?

I think the fact alone that

I think the fact alone that they hire a former head of secret police should say something.

To climb the mountain, you must believe you can.

Just figuring that out now?

That was pretty obvious to me 10 years ago when they created it.

Thanks for sharing though. Maybe others haven't connected those dots either.
