Stossel does entire show on the Federal Reserve and interviews Ron Paul - re-airs tonight (Sunday) on Fox News 10 pm ET

Stossel tweets:

#TheFed can destroy your savings, and your future. Fed Up? I’ll try to explain the Fed tonight at 9 on @FoxBusiness.

To preview his upcoming show he also made 2 appearances on Fox Business this morning:

and also on Fox & Friends with Steve Doocy, Elizabeth Hasselbeck, and a wheelbarrow full of cash:

Curious about the show

Have usually liked what Stossel has to say except the whole NSA thing, which was very unlike him.

But, this is a little weird, really makes me question the goal of Fox news for doing a whole show on the FED. Why would they do this?

"It’s not pessimistic, brother, because this is the blues. We are blues people. The blues aren’t pessimistic. We’re prisoners of hope but we tell the truth and the truth is dark. That’s different." ~CW

To muddy the issue perhaps.

Depending upon how deep down the rabbit hole he goes with the Fed's illegitimacy, etc. If he doesn't reveal some of the yuckier truth behind this organization / that it's not a governmental agency / etc. then he is either (deliberately or unintentionally) muddying up the waters (which would make sense on Fox).

At least criticism of the Fed is becoming du jour, but Stossel likes a good wank just like the next high-profile reporter does.

(Honestly, I don't fully trust the guy [don't care what books he's written]. He's just another MSM maggot--even if he does drop the veil a little lower than most others. When he stands up and puts his career on the line to take it all the way, then I may change my mind.)

What would the Founders do?

Ron Paul

will be interviewed in it I think according to his tweet.

yes, Ron will be on!

Stoked. Thanks for the heads up.
I wonder whether this was coordinated.

Stossel talks a good talk, but he's after only one thing:

ratings. Same with Beck. Same with Cavuto.

Stossel loves to "discuss" big issues, but he never advocates for any action. Ever.

He said that Occupy Wall Street has it's "heart in a good place, but fails to make any ground due to lack of leadership." He was right, but he never mentioned an alternative solution or anything of the like.

I'll be amazed if anyone here learns something we already didn't know from Stossel's show.

If you don't know your rights, you don't have any.

"Stossel loves to "discuss"

"Stossel loves to "discuss" big issues, but he never advocates for any action. Ever."

WHAT AREYOU TALKING ABOUT??? Have you ever watched his show? He advocates stuff ALL the time... he has written a bunch of books advocating limited government...

If you disagree with me on anything you are not a real libertarian...

His mission is not to advocate ...

... it is to inform. And it is not to inform those who are already awake, but to make those who are asleep question what they think they know.

Sounds like masturbation

without the payoff to me.

If you don't know your rights, you don't have any.

We Need More Journalists Who Refrain From Advocacy

He's an old school journalist, not a pundit.

"Bipartisan: both parties acting in concert to put both of their hands in your pocket."-Rothbard

I hope he does a good job, he's been waffling in his libertarianism a bit lately (e.g. on the NSA issue).
