That a boy! It's about time we brought back S. 209! Basically Ron Paul's Audit the Fed bill for the last 30 years. The Liberty movement needs something like this for a little "umph".

Come Next week, if Rand does a "Round 2" filibuster of Yellen confirmation we need to be prepared to help him change the mins'ds of the senators that have yet to co-sponsor S. 209 and remind those senators that they HAVE co-sponsored the bill and that they still DO!

Like I did on the 11th anniversary of 9/11.

Rand Paul's S. 209 is Identical to S. 202 for the Senate Congressional session 2012: A.K.A. "Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2011" A.K.A., H.R. 1207 Ron Paul's "The Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2009" A.K.A. On and On and On back to the time of Reagen.

I bet you all the gold in Fort Knox, Dr. Paul, Sr. is singing in a creepy 'ol hollow's eve snark, "I'm-not-going-anywhere." Smiling, he he he.

Alright. This is exactly what we needed and to put some pressure on Reid to put this up for a vote in the Senate. The bill has been sitting there for far too long and it's about time some recognition, media spotlight, and discussion of this took place.

It's long overdue and we've been sidetracked with other important issues in the last year, but it's time to get this thing done and create some true transparency in our system.

We needed this badly. Good work Sen. Paul.

HR24 first

The way to attack this is to pass the companion bill (HR24) in the House first. This will lend more visability to the effort and put more pressure on Reid to bring it up in the Senate. Contact your House representative - especially if he is one of the 170 cosponsors - to force leadership to bring it up for vote in a hurry. It will pass the House and, if nothing else, get pro-bankster Congressmen on the record before the election.

Get Em Rand.

They brought out the big gun, the criminally insane Alan Greenspan on CNN about an hour ago talking about this and how it's a bad idea to audit the Fed.

Take That, Rand Haters!

Lay off! He is NOT his father, but he's the best we've got.

Amash is the best we have, but he doesn't look like he is even considering running. So, to your point, of those "considering" running for office, you are right.

I Appluad Rand's Efforts, But...

I applaud Rand's efforts to hold the Yellin nomination until a Fed Audit Bill is passed, but it will never happen. Are we really to believe Democrat and Republican politicians will support an audit that will expose the millions of fiat paper dollars they make off the political iron triangle (i.e., secret bailouts, insider trading, stock market propping, corporate and bureaucracy lending/favors, funding of insolvent programs, debt monetizing, etc.)? Our political puppets will not bite the hands of their banker masters that feed them.

But there is nevertheless HOPE for CHANGE. I am positive President Obombya will hop on board with Rand as part of his whole "government transparency" rhetoric. We have witnessed his favorable approach to whistle-blowers and rogue government bureaucracies like the NSA and IRS. Oh. Wait.

Did anyone think...

the House would vote on Ron Paul's bill to audit the Fed?

Did anyone think the House would pass Ron's bill with 77% of the vote?

Did anyone think there would be 44 Senators on the record of supporting an audit?

All this despite everyone saying efforts to audit the Fed are useless.

I'm glad Ron never gave up...

It will certainly never

It will certainly never happen if nobody TRIES to make it happen.

Making the try opens the door to a pleasant surprise. It also provides a platform for education, so that, if it fails this time, it may still have a better chance to succeed in a later try.

As for the politicians refusing to support an audit because it might expose the fiat paper, you might be surprised there, too. If an audit exposes this, it also gives them someone else to blame things on: A cartel of powerful bankers, running a system created long before this crop of politicians' terms - and even their births.

Auditing the Fed might become very popular among politicians as the economy continues to tank. Especially now that Obamacare is throwing BALEs of straw onto that poor camel's back.

It appears...

that Rand Paul uses the filibuster as his Papa used the Presidential Debates - Go Rand - keep waking em up :)

call them anyway

whether or not they are a cosponsor. Sometimes people like to sponsor stuff and then not vote for it... In some elaborate political maneuver I guess.

Will Cruz back this up? Will

Will Cruz back this up? Will he say that evil 3 letter word 'FED' on camera?

Southern Agrarian

Cruz is a cosponsor of Rand's bill

and he said this back in July:

Cruz, though, gave some idea of how supporters could get an audit done. With Ben Bernanke likely stepping down, the Senate will need to confirm a new Fed chair later this year. "That gives the opportunity to leverage," Cruz said. "I certainly hope that, working together, we could force a vote on the Audit the Fed bill."

Ah...a complete inventory before bernanke skips town...

That makes sense.

So, a Senator informs other Senators about rearanging the order of things on a list and the MSM hypes it up as a Threat?

Is the MSM "for entertainment purposes only"?

Ron And Rand Paul Tag Team Against Janet Yellen

"While no longer actively engaged in politcs, one of Ron Paul's crowning achievements while in Congress, was to bring some much needed sunlight to the balance sheet, the activities, and secret bailouts of the Fed, and according to some, was being responsible for the "transaprency, openness, and forward guidance" approach to monetary policy."

Yahoo Finance: Rand Paul wants to hold Yellen nomination

[There IS some Ron Paul in Rand.]
1 hour 37 minutes ago

Sen. Rand Paul is threatening to put a hold on the nomination of Janet Yellen to chair the Federal Reserve , a source close to the Kentucky Republican said on Friday.

Paul is insisting on a vote on his Fed transparency bill, and has informed Senate leadership of his intentions, the source said.

This is the best opportunity to force a vote

on Audit the Fed since Reid MUST find 60 votes to proceed to Yellen's confirmation.

There are 6 Democratic Senators on the record of supporting Rand's bill and there are 46 Republican Senators. Reid will have to get 12 of these Senators to ignore an audit, an audit that 99.6% of House GOP and 47.9% of House Dems voted for in 2012.

I hope everyone realizes that this is the time we must put pressure on our Senators.

See if your Senator is a cosponsor of Rand's bill, S. 209:

If your Senator is not a cosponsor, please take two minutes to send an email or call their office to ask them to support S. 209, the Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2013.

Wish me luck!

I have to convince Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand. I'd have a better chance of climbing Everest...but I'm gonna try.

With liberty and justice for all...who can afford it.

Well, I know 50% of my reps will vote for Rand's bill

Cruz will without a doubt but he gets a call anyhow. Barton ... I wouldn't trust Barton as far as I could throw him.
