Bloomberg puts the epicenter 311 miles east of Tokyo.
No widespread tsunami threat after quake, according to the US Pacific Warning Center.
USD/JPY dips to 97.30 on risk aversion after the reports.
UPDATE: A warning of a 1 meter tsunami has been issued for the Fukushima area. Not what that area needs after the last tsunami decimated the nuclear power plant.
