You guys converted Glenn Beck!

You guys are winning. Ron Paul is winning. Let go of your resentment and your desire to be different and accept the fact that your ideas are being heard. You have changed a political movement. You are changing a political party. You were the last line of defense and you are now the first offense on behalf of liberty. Take the reins and join forces with others to help us rediscover our country.

You converted me two years ago. You converted Glenn Beck and he has a huge microphone. Listen to talk radio. All of them are beginning to sound like Ron Paul. Look at the Republican Party. The good guys are our guys. The bad guys have exposed themselves.

Glenn opened his show yesterday with the stirring Charlie Chaplin Great Dictator speech that some of you have used in Ron Paul advertising. Then he gave a powerful monologue that had me cheering in my car. First goose bumps from Chaplin, then a call to action to participate in the restoration of our country. I suppose I am old and sentimental but this made my day. Perhaps there is hope.

You guys are winning. Keep winning.

When you support

corruptstream media, that is what you get.

My goal is to diminish all of their ratings, once and for all. It may not happen anytime soon, but I will not be complicit to supporting their agenda/rhetoric.

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul

My Opinion on Beck.

Matthew 7:
15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

He reminds me of the weekly repentant. You know the guy who steals money from a friend, punches a neighbor and cheats on his wife each Monday through Friday, but each Sunday, he is confessing his "weakness of the flesh" sins to the congregation.

Asking forgiveness is only a small step in being forgiven. You must change your life to be forgiven.

Yes We're Winning, Beck Still Sucks

Just realize that Beck doesn't believe anything he says. If we forced him to take a different posture, it doesn't mean that he has changed. Yes we are winning, that is why he is trying to assume leadership in the movement. His job is to steer the crowd right back toward the progressive agenda. He is no longer a neo-con, he is now a neo-libertarian.

He will still try to find ways to twist the message in order to discredit libertarian ideas. Come to think of it, when someone with no credibility (like Beck) assumes our ideas, isn't that a way of discrediting us?

He still hasn't figured it out

Beck's recent crusade against Grover Norquist is absolutely disgusting.

#Rodeo Clown

Glenn Beck will still and forever always be a Rodeo Clown.

Judas goat.

Glenn Beck is a Judas goat. Given the chance, he will lead his followers to slaughter. I think of him as a useful idiot, nothing more.

The first sentence is accurate.

The second is also.

The third, however, should be completely omitted.

We are winning more and

We are winning more and more.

As much as I dislike FDR, when he said, "The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself." is dead on.

We have to stop hating people.
We have to stop our government from running our lives.
We have to stop the Wars, because War is hate, and the health of the STATE.

We have to stop being puppets to other nations.
We must be compassionate but not at the expense of others.
WE must stop regimenting people to be exactly the same. I am an individual, not a collective.

We must love others as we love ourselves.
We must resist tyranny, from without and within.

We are the minority few, that love liberty and freedom, and will rise to the challenge when others trying to make us lesser, diminished, impotent.

We are those that believe in God as our savior, or just an evolutionary quirk but whom unite in a common cause to say "NO MORE!!! We will not longer allow you take what is not yours and give it to those that don't deserve it"

Governments do not bring happiness, but despair and misery. They are the idols that we were told not to worship. They are the beast that consumes and never gives back.

I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived. I did not wish to live what was not life, living is so dear; nor did I wish to practice resignation, unless it was quite necessary. I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life, to live so sturdily and Spartan- like as to put to rout all that was not life, to cut a broad swath and shave close, to drive life into a corner, and reduce it to its lowest terms, and, if it proved to be mean, why then to get the whole and genuine meanness of it, and publish its meanness to the world; or if it were sublime, to know it by experience, and be able to give a true account of it in my next excursion. For most men, it appears to me, are in a strange uncertainty about it, whether it is of the devil or of God, and have somewhat hastily concluded that it is the chief end of man here to "glorify God and enjoy him forever."

That Chaplin speech...

Sounds great!

A world where the people unite in order to progress toward a scientific New World without borders. A new world where the people have the power, with social security for the old and jobs for the youth.

A New World where greed, hate and intolerance are no longer tolerated.(<---?)

Hmmm, seems familiar.

History through Film” Ms. Pojer

Charlie Chaplin’s “The Tramp” Character

Chaplin continued to depict the horrors of poverty and the brutality of class distinctions in an America whose democratic principles had been under assault by the Palmer Raids of 1918-1921, precursors of Senator Joseph McCarthy’s move to power through accusations that citizens were Communists, and be definition disloyal to their country.

Woodrow Wilson’s Attorney General, A. Mitchell Palmer, conducted illegal searches and raids on the headquarters of unions and socialist organizations. In the wake of several bombings, Palmer declared that the Communists were about to overthrow the United States government, the excuse he gave for arresting without warrants and holding without trial workers whose only crime was that they belonged to the International Workers of the World [IWW or “Wobblies”].

In his defense of the right of business to ignore the demands of organized workers, by any means at hand, Palmer was aided y a special assistant, twenty-five-year-old John Edgar Hoover, who was soon to become the lifelong nemesis of Charles Chaplin.

Palmer’s agents seized resident aliens and succeeded in deporting several hundred supposed enemies of the state, among them anarchists like Emma Goldman.

No dissenter was safe as the press inflamed public opinion, promoting fear of terrorism. In 1919, Congress refused to seat a socialist representative from Wisconsin, Victor L. Berger, because he had
evinced pacifist views during World War I. Berger was sentenced to twenty years in prison for sedition before his conviction was thrown out by the United States Supreme Court.

Ignoring that he was working in the midst of a ‘Red Scare,’ financially independent Chaplin did not censor himself. He portrayed his Little Fellow as a victim of capitalist exploitation and as the frequent target of a terrorist police force.

"Endless money forms the sinews of war." - Cicero, www.freedomshift.blogspot.com

Trust is both earned AND KEPT!!!

I am more than happy to welcome anyone into the fold who is both principled and pragmatic where profitable, but Glenn Beck has proved to be a serial turncoat. It's difficult to trust someone who can't really figure out where he stands, and it is doubly so when that person cuts you off at the knees right when you're about to break through (not only Medina and Paul, but all of us if you remember Beck's attacks on us back in 2007-2012).

When Beck actually puts his money where his mouth is and back an actual liberty candidate as opposed to a heretical tyrant like Bachmann or Santorum, then we can talk.

Glenn Beck is a compass without a needle.

Glenn Beck is a ship without a rudder. He goes whichever way the wind blows, but he is a sailboat without a keel. Facts: he hijacked the tea party. He attempted to repeatedly smear Ron Paul. He loves Israel and all of our undeclared wars of aggression. He likes taxes and big government. If you put your truth into Glenn Beck, you will find yourself at a FEMA Camp, which he still states does not exist. He is one of the most despicable talking-heads when it comes to the Constitution and Liberty.

Correct

The Constitution doesn't work in pieces.

You can't want peace, prosperity, and freedom, and still believe in a big (corrupt) government policing the world. It won't work.

Congressperson? Media personality? Lawyer?

Obama/Bush supporter?

I have to see Glenn Beck's

latest, new-found sentiment last through a presidential primary. He's always seemed to be hanging out on the edge of waking up. The effect when the presidential election comes around is that he has a horde of people listening to him who were also on the edge of waking up. He can then lead them to wake up or to capitulate to the system this one time, because, dontchaknow, this Democrat is just evil incarnate and we have to rally around the GOP against him, we'll have to work on transforming the party after the election, but this is just...and on it goes.

He has to go the other direction with his horde during a presidential election for me to believe him.

Until then, he seems more like a special kind of herder who hangs out near the gate, keeping the flock that's about to wander out together and near the gate so he can send them back in when the time is right.

We need Glenn Beck's supporters on our side. Why insult them?

Ron Paul builds coalitions with people, praises them when they see the light, and treats them with respect (even when he disagrees with them). In that way, Ron Paul has brought millions of people into the Liberty movement. So, here's a suggestion for everyone who feels the need to insult and demean Glenn Beck and (by extension) his millions of fans...

How about you praise and support influential people and media types every time they agree with liberty principles and policies—instead of mocking, profiling, and reviling anyone whose doesn't agree with you on 100% of the issues 100% of the time?

We cannot win without growing the movement beyond the DP or the Libertarian party. We cannot. We MUST reach out to people who are sympathetic to our positions. Many, if not most of those people are currently GOP voters and independents. Millions of them love Sarah Palin. Millions love Glenn Beck or Rush or Mark Levin. Another big chunk of them vote Democrat. Some of them read the DailyKos or HuffPo.

It's not their fault that they don't know they've been brainwashed. Please stop punishing them for it.

Why isn't Ron Paul's strategy good enough for any other so-called Liberty promoter?

Just wondering.

(Yes, I'm repeating myself and I will keep posting this same comment anytime people who claim to be pro-Liberty start bashing public figures who appear to be coming around to our side.)

Who's insulting?

Look, those of us with brains know that Beck is a snake and proven to be controlled opposition and a plant of the American Polit Bureau. Just because we realize that doesn't mean we are "insulting" or "punishing" his followers. How are we punishing them, by the way? That would be using force, which we are all against, presumably.

Yes, we need more people. It is up to them to see the light, to listen to us and not Beck. You say they are "sympathetic to our positions". I'm going to need evidence of that, I don't see it. Occasionally that retarded lady, Palin, says something about auditing the FED, but she doesn't actually know what she is saying- her writers just think it makes her "edgy". Beck talks about liberty and breaking from the GOP but when it gets close to an election, pow, back to being a GOP hack. That is what he is paid to do, and paid many millions to do.

I find zero difference between the followers of Beck and Palin, and the followers of Obama and Hillary. They all need an awakening. If Beck helps in some way, then great, but it is not part of his handler's plans.

Oh - and the Tea Party isn't real. It is a Neocon propaganda machine (Koch brothers) run by the DHS. They are there to instill fear in the people against people like us and make the people callous to someone like me being "anti-government" and hauled to a prison camp. And when that starts happening, I guarantee Beck will be mimicking the news and telling his cult that we were plotting violence and that "his people" should make a spiritual change from the inside.

Beck is a special case.

1. "How about you praise and support influential people and media types every time they agree with liberty principles and policies...."

I think most around here do, actually.

2. "...instead of mocking, profiling, and reviling anyone whose doesn't agree with you on 100% of the issues 100% of the time?"

Now really... that's quite an accusation / exaggeration!

What would the Founders do?

Settle down. No one here insults beck's supporters.

It is glenn beck ALONE that has our ire, our mockery, our disdain.
His supporters are not looked down on by us nor do they earn mocking from us.

The only other supporters we don't like are his two little butt pirate buddies on his show.

Beautifully said Kathleen Gee

You have to wonder about the motivations of folks that continue to bash rather than build. And some of them seem to be the loudest voices here.

Seems to me you're doing the bashing... of fellow DP folk...

...even if in a gentle, passive-aggressive, hippy-dippy fashion. Saying / implying we're all cultist, hater types, and so forth (in so many words) for rightfully distrusting this Beck clown... really?

Clearly the guy is divisive, so he obviously isn't likely to play a constructive role in true promotion of Liberty. Bash rather than build? Exactamundo, my friend! Builders must be wary of the materials they use, and Beck is not strong foundational material.

Seems you've struck a nerve, k. Hey, if you love the guy and wish to celebrate that which you perceive to be his Conversion, have at it! Don't try to convince the rest of us, however, for disappointment awaits. Your post has raised valuable debate. Thank you sincerely for that. But if you feel so compelled to now fling poop at us apparently grossly shortsighted, low-browed and cruel Beck-haters, you do so to the detriment of the very reassurance you originally attempted to convey.

Welcome to the rabble!

What would the Founders do?

I used to like him.

or at least had hope for him (hard to remember it was so long ago) A lot of us did. but how many times do you have to pull a knife out of your own back, before you stop trusting someone?

I don't hate his fans, they are just sad, confused people. IMO.
