Tech and gun geeks - we need an equalizer

For all their sheer stupidity, the anti-gun loons have managed to get one things right - the government has extremely powerful, heavily armored weapons platforms at its disposal, ranging from drones to tanks.

Now, you and I know that those all have to be operated by squishy human beings - that said, they still present a formidable threat to liberty.

If we had access to LAWs, Javelins, and other such weapons, this wouldn't be as big of a problem... but obviously, we can't easily obtain these.

We need something that can level the playing field. I'm not going to try to give any specifics, as I'm not a physicist by any means. Therefore, all you geeks, nerds, and weapons experts, I'm mainly addressing you. We need SOMETHING that can force Them to fight on our terms if it comes down to it; something that can disrupt, disable, or eliminate armored threats and advanced robotics. Any ideas or concepts you have, post 'em on this thread.

George Orwell noted that the era of the musket and rifle was the freest era humanity has had thus far, because governments and citizens were on the same playing field. Tanks, bombers, aircraft carriers, and missiles have badly warped it; we NEED to level it again if we want to bring in a LASTING era of freedom.

think people too often forget that no matter how 'high-tech'

a warmachine gets, as long as it also requires other humans to operate those toys of oppression which need fuel & energy (and a regularly scheduled resupplying), who need food, need sleep, need shelter, must traverse from point A to B, they cannot defeat a determined foe, especially if they're natives to a given geographical locale with support network, supply, social and terrain familiarity.

don't think for those who studied history and asymmetrical ___, it's really not an issue.
