The President Of Your Dreams Is A Nightmare Of Schemes: Obama Admin. Knew Millions Could Not Keep Their Health Insurance

The President Of Your Dreams Is A Nightmare Of Schemes: Obama Admin. Knew Millions Could Not Keep Their Health Insurance

By Lisa Myers and Hannah Rappleye
NBC News

President Obama repeatedly assured Americans that after the Affordable Care Act became law, people who liked their health insurance would be able to keep it. But millions of Americans are getting or are about to get cancellation letters for their health insurance under Obamacare, say experts, and the Obama administration has known that for at least three years.

Four sources deeply involved in the Affordable Care Act tell NBC NEWS that 50 to 75 percent of the 14 million consumers who buy their insurance individually can expect to receive a “cancellation” letter or the equivalent over the next year because their existing policies don’t meet the standards mandated by the new health care law. One expert predicts that number could reach as high as 80 percent. And all say that many of those forced to buy pricier new policies will experience “sticker shock.”

Why does no one talk about

Why does no one talk about why the bill for hospital procedures got so high?

I welcome destroying the the Medical Industrial Complex.

The government knew exactly what would happen during implementation. But doesn't know the final ending is different than what they wanted.

Computer modeling proved how Obamacare would wreak the entire medical industrial complex system. Break the hold of the insurance industry, hospital industry, and pharmaceutical industries.

There was no other way to break the grip of favorable laws health care lobbyists have won for their complex.

After Obamacare, we will be able to buy insurance across state lines in an atmosphere of fair competition, and the government will no longer be forbidden to negotiate on better drug prices for the poor. The government's role in the healthcare industry will be greatly diminished, and true competition will drive hospital bill price tags lower.

Today, White House spokesman

Today, White House spokesman Jay Carney was asked about the president’s promise that consumers would be able to keep their health care. “What the president said and what everybody said all along is that there are going to be changes brought about by the Affordable Care Act to create minimum standards of coverage, minimum services that every insurance plan has to provide,” Carney said. “So it's true that there are existing healthcare plans on the individual market that don't meet those minimum standards and therefore do not qualify for the Affordable Care Act.”

I must be willing to give up what I am in order to become what I will be. Albert Einstein

And That's The Problem

My wife, who thinks doctors only do harm and is past child-bearing age, does not need "minimum standards." She needs catastrophic coverage, with money set aside for the likes of a broken leg or such.

Which is exactly what she had until they cancelled the plan due to its not-ACA compliance. Now she's got to hope she qualifies for a subsidy, which will only incentivize her to keep her earnings down and will needlessly pick the pockets of others.

It's just like the minimum wage: They see only the effect of the increased standards, while ignoring the inevitable consequences.

They should not call it a "marketplace" exchange. A marketplace is where you can buy oranges or apples or pears or all three, or two of three -- not where you are forced to buy all three, even though you don't need or want them all. That is not a marketplace. [I got that last analogy from somewhere else by the way (not Wikipedia, FYI, just in case you are reading this post Ms. Maddow).]

What the president said, my white horse!

If he said all of that none of his minions would have understood a single word of it!

We should nickname the president as

THE GREAT DECEIVER and repeat it as much as possible until everyone understands there is no merit in forcing this monstrous law on individuals! And to those who thought differently, it's time to wake up, there is no Left or Right, it's UP or DOWN! Empower yourself and others, stop avoiding the growth of tyranny, free your mind to do something for the greater good, LIBERTY IS NOW.

The revolution is not a sideline spectator sport.

When he said people could keep their insurance plans

if they wished, he was just PRETENDING. Had he been real, he'd have admitted that possibly up to 80% (!) would *not* be able to keep their current plan. It's just like when he was only PRETENDING when, during the campaign, he promised to get GMO foods labelled. Yes, I think that The Great Pretender, along with Liar, Liar (below), makes a nice little medley.

My Uncle likes to call him (Obama) "The Great Pretender"

I personally like "Liar, Liar"

ha ha, nice! Thanks for sharing!!

I could see a music video or continuous sound bytes praising him as continuous video clips show the history of his corruption, and of course it would be titled 'Yes We Can".

50%-80% of 14,000,000 people

That's 7,000,000-11,200,000 million righteously pissed off people. There's bound to be a lot of Obama voters in those numbers.

Oh yes, my evil side will revel in the coming tales of 'Sticker Shock' from the left. I'll rejoice when the lo-fo's start publicly denouncing the POSOTUS. My first inclination will be to laugh in their faces and hurl I Told You So's! with wild abandon. BUT...

Americans need to come together against this. What the government fears most is black and white, left and right uniting to fight against its tyrannies.

May these fellow Americans of yours that you mention turn around before late, and stand proudly again with you, as the people you hope for them to be.

... Unlike another people I know all too well, and who still can't seem to understand what has been extracting, raping them for 3 decades now. Quite mind-boggingly.
