It’s time to end the stigma of infanticide

October 29, 2013 by The Matt Walsh Blog

On Monday, a federal judge once again descended from Heaven to rule that unborn humans have no right to be protected at all, in any form, for any reason, in any way, against any harm of any kind. He struck down as “unconstitutional” the Texas law that aims to put some basic regulations and limits on abortion practitioners. To quote from his decision:

“The government can not interfere in the medical field! Unless we’re talking about Obamacare, in which case, it’s totally cool. Or if we’re talking about the government intervening to PAY for an abortion, in which case, again, it’s all good bro. So, like, it can’t interfere. Unless it can. Or, I mean, look, it’s complicated. It can’t intervene to SAVE a life, but it certainly can intervene to end one. That makes sense, right?”

I like his title but he coulda made it way better/shorter...

"We need to end this stigma of infanticide, it's not fair to those who would have been mothers and the medical staff who have to throw the dead babies bodies into the dumpsters. If we as a society cannot stand up together and say THAT DEAD BABY is NOT a DEAD BABY and never DESERVED TO LIVE, then I simply won't live with such a terrible, harsh, judgmental group of intellectual assholes any longer.

Get over the MYTH that you were alive before you were born, you EGOCENTRIC fucks! Bastards, to think you were you while you were in your mothers womb!!! Self-centered prick! You weren't alive then! You didn't have a "right to life". If your mom didn't feel like she could finish college after you became alive at birth, then it was her right to remove You, wait, "IT" from HER body.

You are not YOU, you smug asshole. You are your mothers property and if what was not a living thing at the time, but was to become you, didn't make her happy then simply removing what looked like a little "you" and dumping that little thing that probably looked a little bit, like you do now, was absolutely her RIGHT! But not your fathers....

Truly you are passionate. But if a baby is not alive, why does he have a heart beat, brain activity, why do we study developmental psychology from the time of conception in college? How ridiculous, why not be able to kill them up until a year after birth. Your passion is great, but it's you that is a jerk. Realize.

I'm making a parody! I'm using the words and vitriol used against 'pro-lifers' to allow 'pro-choicers' to see the terrible ridiculousness of their claims and attitudes...

Oh geez

Very sorry Matthew, I have actually had that exact response as we all have and was too quick to speak.

Abortion is the Slavery Issue of Modern Times

There is nothing more insane, nothing more sinister than the prevalance and acceptance of the mass murders of unborn children. It's worse than slavery. It makes me physically ill to hear "libertarians" spout off about being 'Pro-choice." How mentally ill do you have to be to consider terminating (murdering) another life to be 'pro-choice." I mean sometimes I feel like I'm living in the Bizarro World.

I agree whole-heartedly with Dr. Paul's stance on the issue. How can we protect liberty if we don't protect life? How long will we commit the most selfish act imaginable simply because we don't want to be inconvenienced? A child is not part of your body. It's not an extension of the mother; it is its own organism with its own blood type. It's not a growth or a tumor. To try and make the case is complete idiocy.

The overwhelming majority of abortions are performed on pregnant women who had sex BY CHOICE. CHOICE! Do you hear that pro-choice people? A woman does have the right to do whatever she wants with her body, but a fetus is not her body. There are numerous ways to avoid becoming pregnant, and if you are afraid after haveing sex then take the morning after pill. It's emergency contraception, not an abortion. You can if you need to give the child up for adoption to one of the thousands of couples who cannot conceive.

Finally to address the issue of rape: as horrible as rape is, it is still the woman's responsibility to seek medical attention. If you don't want to file a police report that's your choice, but seek treatment and get emergency contraception. If you do not then the child that is conceived is innocent of any crime his parents have commited. If my father commits a crime against my mother or vice-versa, I am not held personably liable. Many courts have upheld convictions for double murder when a pregant woman has been killed.

I have looked at abortion from every angle for years and each time I come to the same, irrefutable conclusion. It is the initiation of force against another human being. It is the derliction of duty as a parent. It is the complete abandonment of common decency. It is the neglect of personal responsibility. It is murder.

Abortion is the most difficult of issues

No doubt about that. This is the only issue where I respect both sides of the argument.

"It may be a hundred years before a computer beats humans at Go - maybe even longer. If a reasonably intelligent person learned to play Go, in a few months he could beat all existing computer programs." - Piet Hut

I used to be one of those " I

I used to be one of those " I would never have an abortion but I don't want my belief to affect others" people but have since come to the realization that it would be wrong to stand by quietly on this issue. It is wrong and I do not want my tax dollars paying for the murdering of innocent lives.

There are far too many options available to justify abortion.

I always ask these death peddlers the same question

If a drunk driver runs over a pregrant woman at 26 weeks and kills her and the baby, are you in support of that person being charged with the death of both the mom and baby?

Typically the answer is 'yes, of course'.

I then ask so why is it not considered murder when a woman doesn't want the baby and decides to terminate the pregnancy in the same time frame. I then say so if an unborn baby is killed by the mom because it's her choice it's okay but if it is killed in an accident it's not.

Typically I either get silence as they rattle that around their brain or I tell them they need to think about the inconsistency in logic they are following.

My sentiments,

I 'CHOSE LIFE'. I can't imagine the long-term emotional impact abortion has on some of these women and girls. It must be pure torment to some. This is one "mistake" that can't be fixed, so don't make it in the first place.

I posted this after having a discussion with another liberty lover this week here at the daily paul who supports abortion. I know there are a lot of Liberty lovers that take the position that it's a woman's body and she can do what she wants with it. But I have never understood that logic when the baby has it's own body as well.

Intent is very important in this instance. If a person desires to destroy life it says something. Anyone choosing abortion is choosing to destroy life and I believe also ignoring the personal responsibility we all have for our actions and I think to protect the innocent, as well as we can define innocent in this world that's pretty fallen and evil.

I respect these people of our ilk that love liberty and post this to make a plea to them to again and again rethink their position. We all should evaluate constantly and I'm sure we do, that's one of the things I love about the people on the daily paul. I believe them to be honest people that are thinking people.

This sht pisses me off. I

This sht pisses me off. I have had 3 miscarriages and every one of them was a loss to me that I mourn. My last one...I saw a heart beat at 5 1/2 weeks and it died 3 days later.

I had a friend years ago who was married at the time when they decided to have an abortion. For no reason other than "they weren't ready" did they chose to murder a perfectly viable life. A year later, they chose to get pregnant. A planned pregnancy.

It's a life that you protect, nurture, and love when you want it but a sack of tissue that you can toss out if you don't want it. Makes me ill.

Yes, its sdrawkcab ssa _- (read right to left)

been there too. Makes me ill too. PM if you want to e-mail back and forth.

(PS) I somehow suspect that your friend has had a change of heart, having children has a way of changing one's view on this issue if you are pro-abortion.

Not sure how she feels today

Not sure how she feels today as I no longer talk to her. I am finding that I cannot tolerate my old liberal friends. We have not one thing in common. I didn't "unfriend" these people to say the least but I just cannot relate to them at all! I'm sure they feel the same about me.

As a friend, I tried to talk her out of it but she got all defensive with me about women's rights.

FYI...most of my old liberal friends are non Christian. Not sure if being Godless may affect someone's appreciation for life but I don't know a single Christian who is pro choice. I think this is interesting.

I'm sorry--

I know a person whose mother had a number of abortions and then 'chose' to give birth several times.

This woman (the daughter of the woman who had random abortions/births) had deep psychological issues over it, and she was profoundly anti-abortion.

While you may be experiencing pain now, you will not have to worry about explaining to your children why some of the brothers/sisters were not wanted.

Feel sorry for those people--they are going to have big problems explaining to the one they 'kept'.

Your feelings are valid, though.

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

I... can't believe the Judge

I... can't believe the Judge said that...

Good piece!

This piece trumps practically every thing I have read

as satire. The Headliner needs to be the color purple, however. (for the sake of newbies)

Murder is murder.

Changing nouns and verbs to make it appear less 'personal' changes nothing.
Baby somehow = parasite (and I despise the 'fetus' term)
Murder = abortion
