Report: Snowden gets tech support job in Russia
http://bigstory.ap.org/article/report-snowden-gets-tech-supp...

MOSCOW, Oct. 31 (UPI) -- Fugitive former U.S. security contractor Edward Snowden will be working in website maintenance in Russia, his lawyer said Thursday.

Anatoly Kucherena said Snowden begins his job Thursday maintaining "Russia's largest [web]site," RIA Novosti reported.

Kucherena did not reveal the name of Snowden's new workplace "for security reasons."

Snowden, a former National Security Agency contractor, fled the United States for Hong Kong and then Russia after leaking details of the NSA's massive surveillance programs. Russia granted him temporary asylum in August, despite repeated extradition requests from the United States.

Do you not see this error

Why why does God or fate do this stuff. Him having a job with communist Russia further fuels the establishments efforts to smear him as a bad dude. I wouldn't take a job in communist Russia. We may have tyrants but we have more freedoms than they do. I don't see this as good at all.

You don't think he should

You don't think he should work in Russia? How the heck do you expect him to provide for himself? Plus, who cares what the establishment thinks; those paying attention know what's going on.

Bravo! Good for him. You know the world is upside down when...

,,,a person who upholds his oath (assuming he too one) to uphold the Constitution and tells the TRUTH about big-government gone bad, has to go live in Russia to (escape bastards like Cheney and McCain) which is about as far from a liberty society as you can get.

Even tho they may be moving toward more freedom.

I even have to get my truth in news from "Russia Today"

Russia's Largest Website...

The massive website being an extensive archive of shirtless Putin photos engaged in wrestling alligators, hunting Siberian wildebeests, roping bucking broncos, and other ultra alpha-male activities.

So all you have to do to get a job as a webmaster these days

is subvert and out the secrets of the intelligence agencies of the most powerful nation on the planet.

This really raises the bar for you kids looking for summer internships. Maybe help subvert a small 3rd world nation just to get your toe in the door.

There is nothing strange about having a bar of soap in your right pocket, it's just what's happening.

Yahoo- Snowden hired to work for mystery Russian website

Snowden is set to start a job providing technical support at a major Russian website, his lawyer said Thursday, creating speculation the new employer of the fugitive could be Russia's largest social network VKontakte.

Snowden's lawyer Anatoly Kucherena tantalisingly declined to give the name of the company, citing security concerns, but attention centred on VKontakte which is seen as the Russian language equivalent of Facebook.

"Edward Snowden will start working at a big Russian company on Friday, November 1. His job will be to support and develop a major Russian website," Kucherena told the Interfax news agency.

Congratulations.

Congratulations on the new job.

"Maintain" and "largest website" may seem a bit vague, but everyone has to make a living somehow, anyway, and preferably a honest one.

Best wishes for his new venture.

"Cyril" pronounced "see real". I code stuff.
