good lord. Dr Paul was not holding back. Great Speech

Can anyone give me an idea of

Can anyone give me an idea of how many poeple were at this rally? Just curious.

Obama is going to make sure his guy wins this one. My opinion. I don't want him to win, but they are going to cheat their ever loving a holes off. And it sounds like it has already started, per Drudge. I really hope that if Cucinelli looses he calls for a recount.
Obama needs to win the house and senate to complete his agenda. I believe he is going to do everything in his power for this to happen, cheat in every way imaginable. so this election is going to be VERY important because it will set the tone for the rest of them. The democrats will stand up and say see the American poeple have spoken and they WANT Obamacare and they are so unhappy that the Republicans shut down the Gov't.... very nervous for the coming up elections, if the democrats win (and I think they will) we are in big big trouble.

Interesting, they want to penalize most to bail out some while

exempting anyone... of course to be apart of the "any" you must go to law school and find the program because its not in the media

so they eat the cake pretty much every way they want

A true flower can not blossom without sunlight and a true man can not live without love.

I know many here are going to

I know many here are going to vote Libertarian but I think you will be making a big mistake. The 3rd party is a lost cause. The country is not going to elect a 3rd party candidate yet.

Dr. Ron Paul said take over the Republican Party. Stay the course. We're almost there. The Republican Party is vulnerable and now is the time.

TRUE

My committee went from Neo-con to Liberty.. and now we are in control.

Do we make the committee seriously a LIBERTY committee and use the power to bring the message to the county, or do we kill the committee?

I've asked a few folks, if it was them, what would they do?

The GOP committee is all your, more power than all third party committees put together.. all liberty seats.. so what do we do now?

Liberate the county from the Democrats or terminate the committee/GOP?

What would you do?

These libertarians are

These libertarians are splitting the liberty vote. Robert Sarvis's campaign was heavily funded by the Democratic Party to siphon votes off of Ken Cuccinelli. I'd be willing to bet we will see a lot more of this. Divide and conquer.

I am here in Virginia

Voted this morning to Legalize Freedom!

Woo hoo! Ron Paul helped confirm that I was voting for the Liberty candidate...Ken Cuccinelli.

Who would have thought...

Now Breitbart is reporting polling machine problems.

i wish i could link it-sorry.

A Plan to destroy all traditional mores

Our social fabric is at the heart of our entire civilization. Look at the Freemason Communist planks. They focus on promoting moral decadence because it collapses a society. The destruction of the family is in its crosshairs. Long before the acceptance and promotion of abortion, homosexuality, divorce, and promiscuity in this country, Russia was eons ahead of us. It is part of their plan to collapse a country and without us even knowing it we become communists with no moral anchors of absolute truth as an impoverished nation bankrupt spiritually and economically.
Hollywood has long dictated our morals and it is overrun with homosexuals, pedophiles, and socialist. This moral cesspool is the Magisterium of this once great country. They have a plan and I believe only one thing can save us, a return to what is Good, True and Beautiful.

LIBERTY IS NOW..........

kind people rock

Wow!

I was riveted by every word from Dr Paul.

interesting Reason article on this whole mess

EDIT: It's actually a Richmond-Times Dispatch article, reprinted at Reason. Very interesting.

“The welfare of the people in particular has always been the alibi of tyrants.” — Albert Camus

As always, Reason gets it wrong...

...valuing social issues above all else: more libertines than libertarians.

Here's the deal: if you think abortion and gay marriage are more important than the economic issues, you are stupid. Put on a helmet. The end.

(That goes for both libertarians and Christian fundamentalists, btw)

"Alas! I believe in the virtue of birds. And it only takes a feather for me to die laughing."

I hate to say it but most

I hate to say it but most liberals I know only care about homosexuals and killing babies. It's sad really. Unless a war is fought here in the states, they could care less about who we're blasting.

resorting to name calling is not very mature

Why are social issues less important than economic issues? They should be equally important. You are either for liberty or you are not. You can't cherry pick to appease a particular interest group.

“The welfare of the people in particular has always been the alibi of tyrants.” — Albert Camus

Truth hurts I guess

If you don't know why the demise of laissez faire and its replacement with socialism, and the resultant end of Western civilization, is more important than whether or not gay people can get married, I don't know what to tell you. Evidently we have very different priorities. Likewise, if I'm shot in the chest, I'll probably seek treatment for the chest-wound before I worry about the paper-cut on my finger...But to each his own. And I am for liberty across the board, social and economic. This does not, however, render me incapable of appreciating that some issues are more pressing than others.

True.

True.

Freedoms go under sustained destruction when the law gets perverted. See legal plunder.

The law gets perverted when it ceases to be justice and only justice. See central planning.

The law ceases to be justice and only justice when the free market economy gets screwed, then denied. See public corruption and cronyism.

The free market economy gets screwed then denied when the collectivist thinking has taken over sound economics. See collectivist subversion and/or propaganda.

Sound economics really is the corner stone to consider and restore first.

Without it, everything else becomes derisory to contemplate fixing (i.e., stopping the induced injustices, restoring voluntaryism).

Without it, the statists' arbitrary groups and antagonisms are by then the moving sands that will be trapping everybody, intellectually honest or not, with their endless fallacies and catch 22s.

Sarvis is better economically than Cuccinelli,

so don't give me any crap about how you think economic issues are more important. Cuccinelli had his chance to prove that he is fiscally conservative, and instead he sold out to party insiders. His fiscal platform sucks ass. Have you even read it? I bet not! You just let GOP handlers tell you what to think.

Sarvis's campaign was heavily

Sarvis's campaign was heavily funded by the Democratic Party.

And?

I never said Cuccinelli was better economically than Sarvis. My point in criticizing Sarvis is that he's not even a good protest vote, he's not a pure libertarian. So don't pretend like you're voting for Sarvis because you won't compromise: a vote for Sarvis is a compromise. But, unlike a vote for Cuccinelli, it's a compromise with no upside, nothing to be gained.

"Alas! I believe in the virtue of birds. And it only takes a feather for me to die laughing."

Sarvis is the better candidate

I believe people should vote for the better candidate. The end.

Sarvis

is not even a Libertarian, I'm shocked that Libertarians are supporting him.

In a recent Reason interview, Sarvis explained that he was “not into the whole Austrian type, strongly libertarian economics,” preferring “more mainstream economics” instead.

Sarvis told Todd, he would be hesitant to cut taxes, unsure as to how he might “reduce spending,”

Sarvis’s rambling interview with the Virginia Prosperity Project, in which the candidate expressed his enthusiasm for increasing gas levies, and for establishing a “vehicle-miles-driven tax.”

"Endless money forms the sinews of war." - Cicero, www.freedomshift.blogspot.com

here is the video from the Virginia Prosperity Project

Sarvis answers the question on improving transportation. I don't hear anything particularly offensive. And guess what, Cuccinelli supported that transportation plan debacle that Sarvis opposes here. I humbly suggest that next time you check your sources, instead of parroting redstate.com lies.

By rejecting Austrian economics...

...in favor of "more mainstream economics," Sarvis is rejecting the free market. Only the Austrians are for free market capitalism, all the other schools of thought are for government intervention in the economy in one form or another.
