Civil Disobediance Against MSM (Super Bowl AZ)
Inspired by the tree-sitters:
Human blockades against trailers and vans belonging to ABC, NBC, FOX, CNN, CBS, etc. (only blockade vehicles owned by these organizations, not the locally owned media types--the ones that come in for the Super Bowl, for instance would be perfect. When the FOX trailers try to leave Arizona's stadium the day after the Super Bowl, the Ron Paul supporters are already surrounding the trailer, have set up camp, and refuse to move, even if it means being run over or arrested.)
These blockades can be arranged by Paul supporters anywhere they find news vans and trailers around the nation, and should be attended by all local Paul supporters. This is about getting RP noticed and recognized fairly, but could backfire if the groundrules are broken. Here are the guidelines.
To be effective these blockades must:
Be large. Try to have at least a dozen people blockading the vehicle. One Ron Paul fan standing in front of a van is not going to be a story, but a group in front of a trailer for hours--even days on end--might be one.
Be committed to a goal. Ron Paul supporters must be willing to do this until someone from the network gives in and paints a fair picture of Dr. Paul. They must state their intended goal to those who ask. It will backfire at first, but people will take notice. Members of the group should be in constant contact with the MSM. Right now MSM (especially Fox) presents him as "kooky." He is not. He is the only candidate who is a real Republican.
Be legal. You will probably be on private property (a parking lot), and you may be arrested. You should be prepared for the legal consequences of your actions. Never bring drugs or alcohol to a demonstration, but bring identification. Also, if the federal government gets involved, they may search your home, your vehicle and your computer without a warrant (for national security reasons, you understand). Make sure all are clean. If you go to a detention facility, you'll do so for the sake of liberty, you'll be surrounded by a bunch of other RP supporters, and you'll feel good. Prison is not bad when it is suffered in this manner. Ask Thoreau, or King, or Gandhi.
Be organized. No one should have to stay for so long that they cannot attend adequately to their normal duties of career and family. A rotation should be organized and agreed upon by meetup group members who plan the blockade.
Be civil. Avoid belligerence at all costs, even if you are ignored for days. No one listens to people who yell. Speak with the resonance of wisdom. Be educated. Be a voice, not a spectacle.
Be right. Represent the cause in an accurate way. Point out the fact that Giuliani gets more media coverage despite less votes and less supporters. Point out that if there were no biases against Dr. Paul in mass media, he would have wrapped up the Republican primary weeks ago. As Giuliani said months ago, "the Ron Paul people are everywhere." The media ignored them, perhaps seeing them as an affront to their control over Washington D.C. Point out that the government is supposed to be of, by and for the people, not of, by and for the media. Point out the unfair questions asked of Dr. Paul. Point out that you believe the Internet is a more fair recognizer of citizens' concerns than MSM now, because it is unbiased, not owned, and unregulated. Point out that you represent ordinary citizens who believe in freedom from regulated thought, and that the Internet is now the only place where that freedom exists. Point out that if you had not done this, Dr. Paul would not receive any coverage. Rely on facts and figures, not emotional appeals. We are freedom fighters, not fascists.
Be single-minded: This is about MSM's unfairness toward RON PAUL. No deviating from the goal of reminding people of that. Keep your truther stuff and other conspiracy theories off the airwaves and stay positive about the message.
This is a call to nonviolent action. If you know Paul supporters in Arizona, let them know that the Super Bowl would be a perfect time to do this leading into Super Tuesday. Park yourselves behind and in front of Fox (and other news organizations) trailers and refuse to move until they give Paul equal coverage.
Anyone up for this in AZ or elsewhere?

Don't do this
Unless you all wear John McCain stuff and yell, WE NEED MORE WAR!!!
otherwise its a very bad idea. The reason we aren't being taken seriously is because the Media thinks we are all crazy. And we are scaring the old folks. Just look like your having fun and showing support for Ron.
Reminds me of..
Foreman: "Come off it Mr. Dent. Do you have any idea how much damage this bulldozer would sustain if I let it roll right over you"
Arthur Dent: " No, how much?"
Foreman " None at all."

Anything like this could destroy RP's campaign entirely
I was absolutely appalled when I read this. Are you a troll?
The MSM would go from blocking RP in the media to making such a scene the headline news *right before Super Tuesday*.
I can just imagine tear gas and someone getting shot and the whole problem caused by RP supporters.
Such an event would be infinitely worse than the RP supporters chasing after (whoever it was) on camera!
If anyone moves forward with this, this one thing could destroy everything everyone has accomplished in terms of time and money.
Again, are you a troll with the intention of setting up/destroying the RP campaign?
Old Media/MSM would have a
Old Media/MSM would have a field day with this. Disrupting entertainment events is not a good idea in my opinion and would just make us look kooky. A Ron Paul rally filling a stadium would be cool.
=)
I think
I think we should get a group (big group) signs and tees and have everyone put some black duct tape over our mouths, and try to get behind the reporters. No shouting, no yelling, just standing. They will expect us but with the black tape people may ask themselves why?
This sounds like a
This sounds like a chickenhawk suggestion. You're saying YOU wouldn't mind being run over? Come on.
Also, this would signal to the press and public at large that we need to resort to desperate measures. We don't.

Run Over
If I get run over by a bus I can't go vote for Dr Paul...Do you really think they will be taping trucks in the parking lot ? I'd rather see Paul supporters taped in a positive way !!
a suggestion
If someone is going to the actual SuperBowl, I think better idea might be to bring some Ron Paul signs and wave them. Some might make it into the broadcast....
"even if it means being run over"
LOL~!!!!!!!!
only problem is
i don't forsee the media telling ANYONE about this... maybe it might get their attention, but other than that they will still ignore us.

bring cameras
Video tape the reactions yourself then, and go viral online with it.
Where
Where do you come up with these crazy ideas
