Ron Paul rejects libertarian candidate in Virginia for Governor

On Monday, former Congressman and staunch libertarian Ron Paul (R-TX) campaigned for Virginia Republican Governor candidate Ken Cuccinelli and said Virginias would be giving up on liberty if they voted for Democrat Terry McAuliffe in Tuesday's election and would be "insane" if they voted for so-called libertarian Robert Sarvis, the third-party candidate who may siphon enough votes from Cuccinelli to spoil the election.

Always for a Republican or a Democrat! Always vote for the lesser of two horrible evils (based on decades of overwhelming evidence).

Voting for principles and philosophy never works. Always play along with the corporate media, otherwise the "other guy" will win.

Wow! This is exactly what

Wow! This is exactly what was said about Ron Paul, and people here are voting this up? Really?

I know, right? The irony is

I know, right? The irony is getting pretty thick around here.

The problem is that Ron Paul

The problem is that Ron Paul people are taking over the RP and the LP will only take votes away and so the DP will win. The LP is going to destroy everything Ron Paul and the rest of us worked so hard for.

Turns out this was 100%

Turns out this was 100% FALSE.

Twice As Many Self Identified Liberals Voted For Sarvis Than Conservatives. So more liberals were pulled away from the Democrat and Sarvis actually helped the Republicans chances.

Can we please stop with the absolute nonsense of political strategy and just vote for the best candidate in the race? What the hell... it's like you've already forgotten everything we went through and lost your way.

And btw- plenty of us never joined this movement to become Republicans or even Libertarians for that matter - if we vote at all it's to choose the best man in the race, not to sacrifice principle so that 'our team' can win. This is absolutely ridiculous.

you can't even get his name right

I wonder how much you actually know about his positions

"It may be a hundred years before a computer beats humans at Go - maybe even longer. If a reasonably intelligent person learned to play Go, in a few months he could beat all existing computer programs." - Piet Hut

I hope this opens people's eyes in the liberty movement

Just because the person has a big L in front does not mean he is for liberty.

Principle over Party

I'd rather vote for someone with a little l in front of their name who really means it.

“The God who gave us life, gave us liberty at the same time: the hand of force may destroy, but cannot disjoin them.”

– Thomas Jefferson

And just because someone says

And just because someone says one should vote for principle over party, does not mean they themself will not occasionally abandon principle for a win.

Drudge actually has this as well:

Ron Paul: Insane to vote for the Libertarian candidate in Virginia...
