Revealed: Obama Campaign Bundler Helping Fund Libertarian In Tight Va. Gubernatorial Race

REVEALED: OBAMA CAMPAIGN BUNDLER HELPING FUND LIBERTARIAN IN TIGHT VA. GUBERNATORIAL RACE
http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/11/05/revealed-obama-ca...

A major Democratic Party benefactor and Obama campaign bundler helped pay for professional petition circulators responsible for getting Virginia Libertarian gubernatorial candidate Robert C. Sarvis on the ballot — a move that could split conservative votes in a tight race.

Campaign finance records show the Libertarian Booster PAC has made the largest independent contribution to Sarvis’ campaign, helping to pay for professional petition circulators who collected signatures necessary to get Sarvis’ name on Tuesday’s statewide ballot.

Austin, Texas, software billionaire Joe Liemandt is the Libertarian Booster PAC’s major benefactor. He’s also a top bundler for President Barack Obama. This revelation comes as Virginia voters head to the polls Tuesday in an election where some observers say the third-party gubernatorial candidate could be a spoiler for Republican Ken Cuccinelli.

Turns out the good Dr. Ron

Turns out the good Dr. Ron Paul was right again.

The two major parties...

...have been manipulating third parties in this fashion for a long time, this is nothing new. If you think a third party offers the path to victory for the liberty movement, think again. Before we would even have as good a chance in a third party as we do in the Republican party, we'd have to change the electoral system, to do which we'd have to already be in a position of political power in the government - in which case we'd have already accomplished our goal. Third parties are a dead-end, focus on taking control of the GOP, per Ron and Rand's example and advice.

"Alas! I believe in the virtue of birds. And it only takes a feather for me to die laughing."

Thank you for that!

Thank you for that!

"Bundling" IS a common campaign tactic

When I worked as a GOP campaign operative in Maryland in the 80s, we would sometimes help a third-party or even a conservative Democrat (in a primary) in order to help our candidate in, what was then, a one-party Blue State. At least we were consistent, unlike "loyal Republicans" who will promote or vote for GOP RINO garbage, such as John McCain or Mitt Romney.

In the 1990s, the Democrat Establishment brought in a "carpetbagger" to defeat a conservative Democrat, then abandoned the "carpetbagger" to help RINO crook John McCain get re-elected.

You are falling for this crap? It is so obvious

This only makes a difference to moron sheeple (see: Tea Party) who still think there is a difference between the Demoblicans and Republocrats.

Six years after the Ron Paul Revolution and people still fall for this crap. It's so depressing. This was obviously a collaboration between the party operatives from both sides to make sure the Libertarian candidate doesn't get votes and sully the name. Hence, they can't get on ballots in the future.

And, this is coming from Mr. CIA/NWO himself, Glenn "pretend to be a libertarian for $20 million a year" Beck. Come on people - use the brain!

I can't believe you!

You are still looking at parties, libertarian or not. Ron Paul was a republican, but I didn't care cause I looked at the individual and what he said and stood for. The so called libertarian candidate said some very non libertarian things, from his own mouth, not what someone said about him. I would vote for the democrat if he stood for what I believed in (not going to happen) lol

No, you misunderstand

It is entirely possible the Libertarian candidate is a plant (like Bob Barr), or just a bad libertarian (like Bob Barr). And, I am not saying people should vote for him just because he is LP.

But, not seeing the set-up by the establishment (both Reps & Dems) is what is shocking. The Republican candidate is an establishment tool, otherwise he wouldn't have been supported by the establishment. If Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck are telling you to vote for a Republican it is guaranteed that they will fall in line as soon as they are elected. Apparently he even fooled the Pauls.

Dude!

There's a huge difference between Ken Cuccinelli and Terry McAuliffe. Stop supporting organized crime and corruption. You're going to Hell.

Correlation does not prove causality!

You are being sarcastic, yes?

Wasn't sure, but I hope so. If there was a huge difference, the establishment wouldn't be supporting both of them.

Yeah,

and Ron Paul received campaign money from racists!

Label Jars, Not People!

You're a racist ...

... and a towel.

Correlation does not prove causality!

You're a towel!

No, he's a blanket! A huge,

No, he's a blanket! A huge, blue blanket!

Lol! You're a loofa.

Lol! You're a loofa.

I thought Cuccinelli had an

I thought Cuccinelli had an adamant anti-abortion position, which effectively kills any hope of appealing to moderates and women.

?

lot of women against abortion. And moderates just vote democrat anyway. Its independents that republicans need and independents tend to be conservatives that lost faith in the republican party.

Yes! And the Independents

Yes! And the Independents need inspiration to vote. That is why we need more Liberty candidates.

But no ....

That's what they want you to think ... and by "they" I mean the McAuliffe campaign and the Democrat media. Cuccinelli is for health and safety inspections in abortion clinics, just like hospitals and other medical clinics. McAuliffe promised women he'd protect their right to back alley abortions with coat hangers, 'cause they're not getting anything better from him. He didn't put it that way of course. He just wants to oppose regulations on the clinics; not like that mean old right-wing Christian media stereotype who wants to suffocate them with regulation.

Cuccinelli has responded to the dirty use of far-right social conservative name-calling, point by point. He's been closing the gap with that and the ObamaCare battle.

Correlation does not prove causality!

health and safety inspections = more government

health and safety inspections = more government

Yes, so

... a vote for organized crime is obviously the way to go. They'll charge you 10 times as much, but the money won't actually go to government.

Correlation does not prove causality!

I thought we were against

I thought we were against more government regulations. I know I am. Sounds like you want it both ways.

Guess what. The constitution

Guess what. The constitution defends the right to life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

The constitution protects life. And if I'm not mistaken, life begins in the whom. I saw a heart beat at 5 1/2 weeks pregnant.

With your logic, we should be able to kill a newborn outside the womb. Why not protect the women who was arrested at a mall with a dead baby in her purse? She didn't want the baby and it was her choice to kill it. What difference is it if it's inside the womb or outside the womb? And it came from her body. And technically, the baby is just a sack of skin and bones anyway since it could not survive without mommy taking care of it. How can we protect one life and not the other?

I'm so disgusted with you pro abortionists. I've had 3 miscarriages and every one of them I mourned. And you all want the right to kill a life because it is your "choice". What kind of sick fucking logic is that? This world is shit. You people deserve what you get.

you know what annoys me?

One-issue voters.

“Although it was the middle of winter, I finally realized that, within me, summer was inextinguishable.” — Albert Camus

Are you calling me a one

Are you calling me a one issue voter? Cause I'm not. But most liberals are (and some libertarians). The idea that someone would not support a pro liberty candidate because he is pro life is asinine.

You're projecting. I don't

You're projecting. I don't have the right to prevent someone from making a very difficult personal decision and neither do you.

Hogwash. What the hell do

Hogwash. What the hell do you expect is going to happen if you have unprotected sex? That is a choice. Put a damn rubber on. Murder should not be a choice.
