lmao, Man Unhappy With Ex-Wife, Buys House Next To Her And Puts Up Gigantic Middle Finger Statue

This story is one that warms the blackened, icy hearts of the Odd News team. In Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, Alan Markovitz, not satisfied with expressing his distaste for his ex-wife in just words, has bought and moved into a home that sits right next door to a house that’s occupied by…his ex-wife. That’s funny enough, but as WJBK Fox 2 points out, the cherry on top of this cupcake is an almost 12-foot high statue of a middle finger Markovitz put in his back yard, pointed toward his former love and her new boyfriend.

The legislation exisits

I am saying what I personally believe, "I personally would be LOL if it was me", still respect the fact that someone else might find if harmful to them, and in her case, it is a personal attack.. and that's where I agree with legislation.

He erected it to hurt her, and that is not right, nor a right.

I directed no slur against another DP member.

Obviously what the vindictive ex-husband did was a controversial issue, or an issue of that nature (a homeowner w/a bronze statue in his yard) wouldn't have made the news to begin with. How psychotic do you have to be to buy the house directly next to your ex wife and then put a statue up like that?!?!

According to the account I read, it's not clear yet whether or not it's legal to display a statue such as that, i.e., an obscene gesture that others would be forced to see. (And, again, it's by definition that it depicts an obscene gesture.) I expressed the opinion that if it wasn't illegal, it should be. That's my personal opinion, and it's not against the spirit of this website to have expressed it: To serve as an open forum for the honest discussion of ideas and the search for truth. Whereas, a personal attack on fellow contributors does go against DP guidelines: http://www.dailypaul.com/guide

Btw, it wasn't me asking that question above. That's what the ex-wife's daughter tweeted along with posting those pictures of the new view from her & her mother's home. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2508238/Strip-club-o...

"I directed no slur against another DP member."

Perhaps not, but in my opinion, you did direct a slur against Liberty which, again in my opinion, is worse.

Have some tea, ponder your thoughts, and maybe you will come around :-)
