Why Do You Stay at the DailyPaul?

Another 'Im leaving' thread recently popped up. Im guilty of posting one too. My 'DP Sucicide' lasted all of until I woke up the next day. I can't leave this community. I believe we have more lurkers than we care to admit. :)

I love DailyPaul because this is the only place where I feel that being free and defending our natural rights is OK. I don't get this feeling in the media or on facebook. Im not a gun, gold, prepper, idealist or anarchist.

Im just a guy that was raised in a patriotic, peace loving family. I stay here because even though I don't agree with some of the more bizarre posts, I still get respected for being me.

If I ever get harassed.. or need help... or need clarification...

This community will come to my defense if I am being attacked or persecuted by anyone... let alone the state.

I love the DailyPaul because we are such a wide range of people, talents and fears. I do not believe we can find another community like us anywhere.

After Xmas the 14 race is going to start.

I love the DailyPaul because we have over 6 years of activists, 2 Presidential elections, One senate race... and a few seats in the house we can count on. We did that.

Make no mistake about it. DailyPaul and RonPaulForums are exactly what landed us the little power we have now.

This is why I love the DailyPaul. We are driven, kinda paranoid.. completely unique to modern politics.. but under the right pressures we can rally our troops better than anybody. We are honestly ruled by free market pressures and idealism we seek to expand.

I truly believe 2014 and 2016 is when we shall reap the fruits of our labor. The moderates among us are going to support Rand. Rand, I believe is going to have a moment where, like his primary challenger in KY, he puts them to shame by using logic and wit. Rand won in a landslide with 'a little bit of help' from his friends... and a lot of him taking charge and leading. The establishment was against him and WE WON.

Rand didn't use us. Ever. Matter of fact... he wanted to carve his own way the entire time. Ron may downplay his relationship with his son.. and thats cool. I get it. Ron raised a son smart enough to ask the right questions at the right time. Thats what good fathers do. They raise good men to think on their own and lead when times get tough.

I love the DailyPaul because we continue to make history.. like the NDAA.. Im here indefinitely.

Where am I gonna go Huffpo?

Where am I gonna go Huffpo? HA! Plus I like the hodge podge of articles from all corners and all topics. Gives you a broad base to distill reality with.

after surfing

for news left, right and center i come here, and to lew rockwell, to regain my sanity.

Sometimes I wonder

With all the tinfoil hats that post here, sometimes I wonder why I stay around, but my passion for Liberty keeps me coming back because it is, after all, a forum accessible from anywhere in the world.

Freedom is my Worship Word!

I understand..

The first time I got a call from a family member freaking out about a conspiracy theory made me realize baby steps were appropriate. We have the message and power to unite people. That is the faith that keeps me here.

Just because I dont agree with popular conspiracy threads does not make me any less patriotic. Just a bit more cautious.

Ill never pull and AJ on national TV.

One of the best places for sharing.....

like minded ideas with, for the most part, like minded people. I learn a lot from this site and visit almost daily, but don't log in regularly. I'm almost at 6 years, and am addicted to learning and growing. I also love to read the comments on posts to get many varying perspectives to see what other people think, instead of one sided bias like you get in the mainstream. I love DP, and the people here-even the one's I don't agree with. Thank you Michael Nystrom for all you do. I discovered Dr. Paul during the 2008 debates, and was fascinated by what he said-there wasn't anything that I disagreed with. I spent at least 8 hours one weekend viewing his speeches and debates on YouTube, and have never looked back. Is he perfect? No, and neither is Rand, but they are at this point closest to what I view as my ideal candidates. I agree with them on more things than I disagree.

Two main reasons I love the Daily Paul.

First, communicating with my peers.
The exchange of news, ideas and opinion here is without bounds.
Educational, informative, thought provoking and sometimes just plain crazy!

Second, for the news.
Yes, the news!
Without fail, I am forever hearing the MSM report news 3,4 and 5 days after I read it here!

It is no accident that I am here.
It is divine intervention.

Thank your preffered deity for The Daily Paul!

Exercise Liberty!

I don't understand what is behind the posts about "staying" or "leaving" the Daily Paul. This is one of dozens of websites I read regularly - nothing more. Did some of you "join" the Daily Paul? I don't get it.

I love this post. Well said,

I love this post. Well said, P. Nicholson.

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.

I stay because the more perspectives I encounter the stronger my own becomes, and the perspectives here are the best around. This is basically the only website I regularly visit anymore, unless I'm seeking information through a search engine. If the DP is Michael's house, then I've been living in a tent on the lawn for about 6 years. I'm thinking of installing an outhouse.

I read it for the

I read it for the articles...I swear!

But really, none of my friends or family will talk politics with me anymore. : (

I was sort of kicked off the rest of the internet...

but I'm totally getting my act together, and I really appreciate you guys letting me crash here.

Why pandas? Why now?

I've been trapped in an alternative universe. There is no escape.

There is just one constantly shining immense star in this universe I'm in. Sometimes I see up to five smaller stars, but they aren't very predicable. Their brightest varies greatly as do their periods of darkness; they can even disappear for long periods of time. However, there are many planets, and there is especially a whole lot of cosmic gas out here. Whether this gas is going to coalesce and form a new star or remain just gas is the question? Like other universes, there is much emptiness; the better term for this is dark matter, very, very dark in deed. This universe I'm trapped in is called Liberty.

I read every paper on the Net

I only come here because I like to read every perspective from every news agency I can. I also go to

CNN.COM (horrible!)

These are only a few, however I do this so I can form my OWN opinion on world matter's.

If I were to rate this site. It would be a 6 / 10

Even though there are many people that think like I do here. Many of you on here are confused and too opinionated! Smart enough to have a opinion. Dumb enough to not understand anything!

I see what you mean

your last paragraph is an opinion

If we deny truth before your very eyes, then the rest of what we have to say,is of little consequence

I have an extra comma you may lend...

I shall borrow it to you.

Why pandas? Why now?

to read

AnCapMercenary's posts and comments :)

and most DPers too!

Why do I stay at the Daily Paul?

Almost 6 years now! I am here because Michael Nystrom has not kicked me off... yet! LOL

News and information I would not normally have access to, an outlook that allowed me to look beyond the left/right perspective and know others felt the same way. DP is probably the most informative group of independent thinking posters of any place on the net. Ron Paul opened my mind to new possibilities in political thinking and it's nice to be a small part of it with others who appreciate what Dr Paul have given us.

The Granger must be on or off his meds. lol

Its been a while since The Granger has posted a comment that I haven't wanted to downvote or say "fcuk Israel" lol

Please accept my apology go213mpy

My posts about Israel were because of what I found that was amazing to me.. my mistake was to not know how much HATE there is for Israel on DP. Now I know, so I don't make top posts about it.

Let's all be happy (meds or not).

Granger, are you a man or

Granger, are you a man or woman? For some reason I've always envisioned you a woman. I don't know why.

:D It's no secret.. Susan B. Anthony once said she could tell a granger woman from as far as she could see her, the way the granger carried herself as a man, as in, don't wait for the man to do it for you honey, get off your ass do it yourself.

Oh good. That would be

Oh good. That would be embarrassing if you were not.

Happy it is Granger...and for sure, no apology necessary

I never attacked any of your posts/comments in a personal manner. (that I recall) I was just confused by your extreme transformation in the exact opposite direction of how my opinion of Israel changed once I researched Zionism.

I worked on an air force base for over 10 years and used to get piled on by Israel firsters if I said ANYTHING negative about Israel. I found that a bit strange especially since I honestly couldn't have cared less (about Israel) at the time.

That led me to research the historical US-Israel relationship which only then caused me to form a very negative opinion of Zionism.

My findings about Israel and Zionism led me to researching the origins of religion (specifically in relationship to kings, rulers, and governments) and that caused me re-read the bible. After 40 years of being a "blind faith" follower of Christianity...I finally had to face the cold hard facts about god and organized religion being little more than man-made construts used as elitist philosohys to help run and control the masses through the fear of the unknown.

My wife, daughter, and I are now strong atheists. And contrary to popular belief, we have never been closer, more loving, and genuinely HAPPY!

So yes, let’s be happy. I LOVE being happy!

I grew up in an objectivist upbringing and never knew much of anything about religion except that my father was a rabid atheist.

My interest is secular, not religious, though I would like to see the holy sites.. I like business and I LOVE what they are doing.. very exciting to me.. all this other stuff.. it's got me a better understanding of international law.. so I'm good.

(((((((go213mph)))) to peace and happiness.
